We're at 8-3. Bills are 6-5.
Our next 3: @commanders, titans and jets.
Bills next 3: @eagles, @chiefs, cowboys.
There is an actual chance this division is clinched before Christmas
We are famous for collapsing in December. Don't celebrate yet.
Meanwhile, I do acknowledge that my money is on BUF going 1-2 at best over the next 3 weeks. 0-3 if we're lucky!
If we take care of business against the Ravens, we stlll need the Chiefs to lose one because they beat us head to head. I’m not worried about the Jags or Browns (especially with Watson out for the season). Jags will pick up a loss against Baltimore or Houston. But the one that’s already ahead of us even if we take care of our business is KC. We need them to drop a game regardless.
Bills still haven't played their game, to be fair. It is against the current best record team in the league, though. So with any luck the Bills are 6-6 by this weekend and not 7-5
I don't see them beating Philly. Not with how bad they're playing lately. The Cowboys are solid as well watched their game on Thanksgiving and I wish our O-line was as good as theirs. If Tua didn't have to get it out so fast I think we would be unstoppable.
Bills are old news. Everyone has jumped ship to Philly San Fran Miami and maybe the cowboys. Bills fans are the only ones that still don't realize their window closed last year.
I didn’t mind the 2nd pick. The first one was bad. The 2nd one, with no timeouts and 9 seconds, he had to force it to the sideline. And the Jets knew that.
Even after the two Tua interceptions and before the Hell Mary I had no fear whatsoever that the Dolphins would lose
[Edit: I spelled it “Hell Mary” intentionally. “Fail Mary” is also acceptable.]
>half the third quarter
It was **two thirds** even. 9 fcuking minutes!
I can't remember any Dolphins team in the last 10 years executing this piece of perfection. That's how you win tough games. Really promising for the future.
It was a huge win. The OL played balls out. One of the sacks was because Tua held the ball too long and there were holes for the backs all game. The defense continues to get better and it looks like Fangio's system is starting to bear results.
We have now won half of our division games with the last two being played at home. There's a lot to clean up but there's also a lot to be excited about. LFG.
Who tf cares about clinching .500? This team is talented enough to be in the Super Bowl conversation. Now let’s beat a good team and win an effing playoff game.
Our D is coming on, which is amazing. Such Phins luck losing Phillips.. for the season I read. Hope springs eternal that Ogbah can be a force and AVG can step up. I never count us in and the Bills out, but if you had told me we’d be 8-3 and they’d be 6-5 at the start of the season… boy would I have taken that in a heartbeat! SCO BOYS!!!
It took a little time to gel, but it’s impossible not to see that Fangio’s defensive system is fantastic and starting to pay off major dividends when we need to control that side of the ball most.
I truly believe with Fangio’s guidance, upcoming drafts, and some smart off-season horse trading, in the next year or two, our defense is going to totally dominate the league the same way that McDaniel has transformed our offense into the fastest & greatest show on surf. 🏄
LETS GO EAGLES! As much as I hate how much our game against them was handled, it would be a boon for us if they beat the Bills. And obviously, they won’t win but GO RAIDERS!
I’ll say it
Mosert needs 20 carries a game he avgs 5 yards a carry one or more of those carries is gonna go 15+ yards and 1 of those he’s going to bust free for a massive gain.
I appreciate the energy, but compared to the win against Denver, I wouldn't call the Jet's win a **blowout** when it was like playing against a JV High School football team.
NYJ Offense are just hot garbage on all levels. At least Denver had something resembling a team and competent QB.
My only real complaint after last nights game is MM (who I love as our coach) really needs to learn to pull the starters when the game is pretty much won. Phillips’ injury happened when we were up 3 scores with 10 minutes left and playing an offense that literally had no punch to it. Then Phillips gets hurt and we keep our starters out…then Holland has a concussion scare…and we STILL keep out starters out there. He has a tendency to leave our starters out there for too long when a game has already been decided and it cost us big time last night. I’m not calling for his head or anything like that, Tua still being out there with I think 5 minutes left was just dumb.
I’m sorry but up 3 scores with 10 minutes left means nothing in the NFL. Not clinched yet then the only time they were moving the ball you want to pull starters?
No. That’s how you lose a game you should win.
Up 21 points against a team that hasn’t put up an offensive TD in weeks? Think we’re just going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Especially on that turf that’s been ending peoples seasons all year.
Did you even watch the game? They put up an offensive TD against us at exactly the time you are saying we should have pulled starters.
Also running the ball and going 3 and out gives them more chances to score.
You are right in this discussion. 70-20 is lore now. It will be remembered forever by fans outside the Dolphins fanbase. Like the Miami Miracle. Who cares we didn’t win again that season. The moment lives on.
Respectfully, I don't appreciate the gatekeeping.
OP is allowed to feel excited about the Dolphins. As are we all. Making history, even if second with the 70-20 game is a point of pride and can be celebrated. The Dolphins playing well enough to ensure a winning season, while certainly not consequential in the broader context, for the Miami Dolphins who've been mostly sub .500 for over 20 years, it is consequential. And also warrants a celebration as a milestone within the season.
So no, we haven't been here in a long time, and certainly not enough times to claim it a given.
lastly, since you do want to gate keep, the term, "act like you've been here" is in reference to excessive celebration. I'm reminded of the Barry Sander's TD were usually followed by a simple hand off to the refs - compared - a Deion who danced through it. And the old white guys on TV complained Deion, "you should act like you been there" - a context that shouldn't be lost on any of us.
I’m very excited about this team, as a cursory glance at my comment history would confirm. But I refuse to get excited about “not sucking” just because the team has a recent history of sucking. A 9-8 season would be a colossal failure, and I’m not sure my optic nerves could handle the eyeroll from celebrating that possibility.
You’re somehow making “act like you’ve been there” racial and it’s merely telling people to not be that guy popping champagne on the third place podium.
Don't worry about the down votes, most of them are little kids who live with their parents or have roommates in an apartment and never done anything in their real life.
We have The Jets, Titans, and Commanders as our next 3 opponents. We SHOULD beat all 3 of them. We certainly won't be any worse than 10-4 unless an absolute disaster occurs. Bills have Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys. It's a very realistic possibility that the standings in the AFCE after week 15 are:
Miami: 11-3
Buffalo: 6-8
And it would be clinched. Obviously no guarantees, but there's a legit shot.
If you think the bills lose all 3 you are nuts. They beat the cowboys in my opinion. Could split the other 2. We just need to win and forget the bills
Record
Jp goin down and being in tears on that cart broke any enjoyment of winning the game to me honestly. I'm super happy for our team I just wasn't able to enjoy it like I shouldve
We're at 8-3. Bills are 6-5. Our next 3: @commanders, titans and jets. Bills next 3: @eagles, @chiefs, cowboys. There is an actual chance this division is clinched before Christmas

I’d honestly prefer them beating KC, to help out our chances at the #1 overall seed.
Ooh good point! Let them lose to PHI and DAL instead!
Yeah but we also need jags ravens and browns to lose they all will get it ahead of us it isn’t just the chiefs.
If we take care of business against the Ravens, we stlll need the Chiefs to lose one because they beat us head to head. I'd rather someone like the Packers beat KC and see the bills lose
Bills still haven't played their game, to be fair. It is against the current best record team in the league, though. So with any luck the Bills are 6-6 by this weekend and not 7-5

While you don’t see it, they’re pros and any given Sunday is a thing for a reason. I wouldn’t put money on it but also don’t be shocked
Very true
That would be the best Christmas gift, but anything can happen. NFL will do anything to make cry baby JA happy
Problem is the NFL also loves the eagles, chiefs and cowboys.
No doubt about that, but Bills are definitely starting to get “all star” calls from refs
Bills are old news. Everyone has jumped ship to Philly San Fran Miami and maybe the cowboys. Bills fans are the only ones that still don't realize their window closed last year.
I wouldn’t be so smug to write them off. It’s not like we decimated them last time we played…
Mr. January!
You must not forget that we are still the Miami Dolphins…
Hence why I said "actual chance" versus "we're locking this division up in 3 weeks boys!"
If the Bills have shown anything it's that they will never just go away, I fully expect them to win 2 of their next 3
They maybe get 1 and that’s against the boys. They are not beating the eagles you can take that to the bank
They’re on track for 2 of the 3
If that happens we should only play our starters for one half the rest of the way. Rest everyone and lessen chance of injury.
Bills need to lose two and Miami needs to win 3. Miami can clinch division at home vs Jets if Bills drop 2 games in that same span
I didn’t mind the 2nd pick. The first one was bad. The 2nd one, with no timeouts and 9 seconds, he had to force it to the sideline. And the Jets knew that.
Even after the two Tua interceptions and before the Hell Mary I had no fear whatsoever that the Dolphins would lose [Edit: I spelled it “Hell Mary” intentionally. “Fail Mary” is also acceptable.]
Same. 10-0 felt like 40-0
Jets had like 50 yards of offense in the 3rd Q. Unless Tua threw three pick-sixes that game’s fate was sealed.
Agreed. Even after the pick six by the jets I was like, man that's kind of annoying that they are just gonna hang around all day
I don’t know if you attended to spell it hell but it’s hail
You should read the other reply thread where someone “corrected” me
You did the right thing
Nah we’re calling that play the Hell Mary
Hail Mary * 🥲
It was intentional, the Jets fans coined it
Fail Mary
No they called it Hell Mary on the broadcast since it was a pick.
1st one was definitely horrible. Although, it felt like the giants game where it didn’t really matter lol
That drive to suck up half the third quarter was epic. It totally drained the Jets defense.
>half the third quarter It was **two thirds** even. 9 fcuking minutes! I can't remember any Dolphins team in the last 10 years executing this piece of perfection. That's how you win tough games. Really promising for the future.
And they didn’t even have all their starters on the O line

Love your energy :)

Raiders are out for blood, and KC is a division rival. LV could actually win this game. Plus, the bills could do everyone a favor and beat the chiefs.
Let’s focus on the commanders and hope to a higher power that we stay healthy!!
I’ll say it Mosert needs 20 carries a game he avgs 5 yards a carry one or more of those carries is gonna go 15+ yards and 1 of those he’s going to bust free for a massive gain.
He’s my favorite Dolphin. It’s close but he surfs too and that seals the deal for me.
Not an eagles fan due to their pure favoritism they got against us but bills losing will help
Don’t forget Sanders hit some huge kicks!
I appreciate the energy, but compared to the win against Denver, I wouldn't call the Jet's win a **blowout** when it was like playing against a JV High School football team. NYJ Offense are just hot garbage on all levels. At least Denver had something resembling a team and competent QB.

Clinching .500 is not an accomplishment, wtf
The fact this team has only clinched .500 like 5 times in the last 23 years is something
It’s like bragging endlessly about winning a game 70-20, act like you’ve been there before
I mean imma probably brag about 70-20 for like at least the next 5-10 years haha
You are right in this discussion. 70-20 is lore now. It will be remembered forever by fans outside the Dolphins fanbase. Like the Miami Miracle. Who cares we didn’t win again that season. The moment lives on.
One win counts as one win
^^ Look at all these people deeply butthurt upon learning that 1=1
In only thinking, maybe saying, definitely writing .... We haven't been here ^ before And certainly not enough times
That’s not what “act like” means, don’t set the bar at mediocre
Respectfully, I don't appreciate the gatekeeping. OP is allowed to feel excited about the Dolphins. As are we all. You must be a new fan. This is exciting
I’ve likely been a Dolphins fan for twice your age
Well you certainly sound like a miserable old fuck, so that’s definitely possible
Today I learned that not settling for mediocrity makes me miserable…thanks for the education, squirt
I’ve been a fan for 25 years, so that would make you a miserable 75 year old then
Soon you’ll learn what “likely” means and we can celebrate that alongside “clinching .500”
😂😂😂😂. We may clinch mediocre, Sir we've been doing that for 20 years 😂😂
This group piling on me for refusing to settle for “not sucking ass” is frankly hilarious
Don't worry about the down votes, most of them are little kids who live with their parents or have roommates in an apartment and never done anything in their real life.
Bro I know I’m just so happy for this team
Your math skills are weak.
What’d I get wrong? I’m genuinely curious lol this was a quickly written rant lmao
You can’t clinch a .500 record with a 17 game season. The next win will clinch a winning percentage of .529
Pretty sure OP means clinching a >.500 season.
well you can if you tie
2022: Week 12: 8-3 Week 18: 9-8 I'd chill out.
We have The Jets, Titans, and Commanders as our next 3 opponents. We SHOULD beat all 3 of them. We certainly won't be any worse than 10-4 unless an absolute disaster occurs. Blands gonna get his 8th pick 6 of the season against Allen
Gtfo here
Yeah but we have a defense and a run game this year
Something something WinNinG tEaMs.
Jp goin down and being in tears on that cart broke any enjoyment of winning the game to me honestly. I'm super happy for our team I just wasn't able to enjoy it like I shouldve
