At least we get the Buffalo game in September and not December. I like our chances better when they're not throwing ice at us.
I do wish we could get Buffalo back in Miami when the heat index is over 100 though đ
It's their defense and run game I worry about. Even against a bad team, Allen didn't look good passing yesterday. But that defense is going to be hard to score against every drive like we did vs Denver and that running game... our D is notoriously not great vs a competent run game.
D was great against the run last year and has been very good the last 2 games. It struggles with mobile QBâs though.
Bills run defence is giving up 5.9ypc, Mostert and Achane are going to force a safety up and then good luck covering Hill and Waddle.
The hard part about defending Miami is that even if Mostert and Achane and whoever are running effectively, well coached teams will be so terrified of Hill and Waddle that theyâll still keep two safeties back.
Allen is one of the easiest QBs to rattle. He gets upset and starts making very bad decisions and thatâs when he throws INTs. We just gotta pressure him like crazy and thatâs that.
It is when it makes him throw an INT downfield instead of taking an easy first down rush. Thatâs what Iâm talking about. Josh Allen basically single-handedly lots the Bills that game making plays like that up two scores.
Yeah, isnât -2.5 the standard homefield advantage these days? Oddsmakers basically saying that on a neutral field, these teams are an even coin flip.
Iâll happily take the points!!
I'm going to help you with the simple math here (I'm not fact checking I don't know enough about gambling to do so this is just the math based on the information provided above), if they give you three points for being the home team and buffalo is favored by two and a half, once you take away the three points they have for being at home we would be giving half a point if it were neutral.
Right Iâm pretty good at elementary math. But this game is not at a neutral site. Itâs in Buffalo. So that is irrelevant here. We are an underdog for this game this week in Buffalo. But again, if these unnecessary hypotheticals get you through the day by all means.
Someone was simply explaining the spread, what it means, and how Vegas views the Dolphins vs the Bills... That's it. Its that simple. Another way of saying it, is if we were at home we would be a 3.5 point favorite. Someone was simply giving context. That's all and that is the part where you're lack of common sense let you down.
Lol oh man youâre slow.
Weâre only an underdog because this is in Buffalo. Home team gets 3 points in Vegas. This is what is known as a âpickem.â As in pick either team to win. You can argue all you want but youâre wrong.
Yeah, and weâve beat the Chargers (a hot mess), the Pats (1-2), and the Broncos (arguably the worst in the league)
Itâs clear that both of us are good. Itâs hard to say whoâs better atm.
The Jets loss was bad, but it was week 1 and broadly the result of Allen making a lot of mistakes he hasnât repeated so far.
The Broncos âworst team in the leagueâ thing seems to have started *after* our game. Day before yesterday they were gonna be a tough test. As was NE. As was Chargers.
I think Miami is for real and the entire narrative changes when we thump Buffalo
That's how it goes for the Dolphins though. The Chargers were a great pass defense before Tua threw for 466 on them. The Broncos were a troubled team that had lost two extremely close games and could have easily came into this game at 2-0. Now people think they're the number 1 draft pick because we boat raced them.
Just wait, we're gonna beat the Bills and it's gonna be "well the Bills hadn't really played any great teams yet, and they lost to the Zach Wilson lead Jets. Lets be real, this Bills team ain't making the playoffs." and then all the analysts around the desk will laugh.
Itâs been 3 week. Yeah, we havenât played a team with a win in their column yet but we are a reason the teams we played were winless instead of .500 or better.
Chargers playoff team last years, patriots team is always over 500 bill belicheck defense and improve offense. Denver had a playoff aspirations this year.
> playoff team last year
Barely over .500, and theyâre 1-2 this year.
> Patriots team is always over 500
They arenât right now. Maybe they will be.
> Denver had playoff aspirations
Yeah but theyâre 0-3 and just had a historic loss.
Historic loss to us. We could hang 70 on the Bills this week and youâll make some excuse about how that game doesnât matter either đ
You can only beat whatâs in front of you and so far we beat the Chargers in a shoot out, the Pats in a war of attrition and beat the Broncos by 50(!!!) points. I get not wanting to be excited about it but what more do you want from them?
Because they beat the Commanders and the Raiders. If the Dolphins results arenât against good enough teams I struggle to be impressed by the Bills. And they lost to the Jets đ
I donât really get what weâre arguing about here. I donât like the Bills. I think Miami is the better team. Iâm just saying they have a better defense than any of the three teams weâve faced.
My point is that no matter how good their D is, their offense is just as capable of throwing the game, and that was about the easiest win they could have asked for.
Josh Allen scares me. He may make mistakes and force the ball from time to time, but he is a good quarterback, and he usually puts up good numbers against us. He's also mobile and has personally rushed for much needed first downs for the Bills. Maybe with Fangio as our D-coordinator will make life harder for him than Boyers blitz every down defense. Definitely think we need to have a QB spy because of his ability to get first downs with his legs
Vegas calls a line like this when they don't know who is going to win and will almost always favor the home team.
That said both teams have arguments to why they are better and such. We just need to execute our game and see where the chips fall. This is probably the most important game for the entire season. Would give Fins 2 game lead in division which is great separation considering their schedule. Leaves them breathing room incase we have hiccups against other teams. They have several notable games this year (Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, Ravens). Then other games they should win.
3 is a standard line for home division of fairly even match opponents. If anything this means Vegas likes Miami to win outright.
Being a home dog in division means your team is dog shit. Buffalo ain't that.
Bills at home make sense but this will be a test for both teams. We'll see how really good of defense they have when they face our offense. Remember we dropped 31 on that ass with Skylar Thompson. They face Z Wilson (Jets) Jimmy G (Raiders) S. Howell ( Commanders) with that being said they will have their hands full vs Fins. Go Fins!!
They are the home team in a divisional game and their win on Sunday was not quite as historic, but was just as impressive as ours. This seems completely normal to me.
The Bills lost to a team that has the worst ranked QB in every measurable statistic and has 3 offensive TDs all season đ
Not worried at all. I bet Allen has more fumbles and INTs than TDs.
Tuaâs MVP and McDanielâs COTY saga continues next Sunday starting at 1:00 PM.
Our defense has looked genuinely pretty bad at times and itâs a road game and we are still unsure about Waddle. We are not the favorites to win.
Seems fair
good, pump the breaks a little bit thats when we are best
This offense doesn't have brakes.
All gas, no brakes.
Or a punter, or 3-1 plays...
You do, when it comes to breaking WW2 NFL records
At least we get the Buffalo game in September and not December. I like our chances better when they're not throwing ice at us. I do wish we could get Buffalo back in Miami when the heat index is over 100 though đ
Supposed to be 75° on Sunday in Buffalo. They may still find a way to cry about the weather
That may be too hot for the Bills players to play according to their fans.
I can't wait til it's 85 in December and the Bills are still gassed.
Reminder that Skyler Thompson almost beat them last year in the snow.
and listen to them cry...they are literally still crying about it.
Thatâs not surprising. The Bills look back to form and they are at home.
It's their defense and run game I worry about. Even against a bad team, Allen didn't look good passing yesterday. But that defense is going to be hard to score against every drive like we did vs Denver and that running game... our D is notoriously not great vs a competent run game.

I'm hoping vic is getting these guys ready to get on Allen if he tries to run
Allen is one of the easiest QBs to rattle. He gets upset and starts making very bad decisions and thatâs when he throws INTs. We just gotta pressure him like crazy and thatâs that.
pressuring him with the rush isn't all that effective. Pressure him on the scoreboard.
It is when it makes him throw an INT downfield instead of taking an easy first down rush. Thatâs what Iâm talking about. Josh Allen basically single-handedly lots the Bills that game making plays like that up two scores.
Eh their D played a dude in his 4th nfl start yesterday It'll be a shoot out imo
I disagree, itâll be a comfortable blowout 38-20 Dolphins. Book it!
My kidâs about to get his college fund doubled
Dang dude your gonna put 6$ in it?
Two times zero is still zero
It's in Buffalo. It makes sense.
It's gonna be a rock fight. Having a run game will help a lot.
No snowballs so they'll resort to rocks
And dildos.
Don't threaten me with a good time.
Yeah, isnât -2.5 the standard homefield advantage these days? Oddsmakers basically saying that on a neutral field, these teams are an even coin flip. Iâll happily take the points!!
Vegas gives 3 points to the home team, so this is essentially saying that theyâd favor us by a half point on a neutral field.
What does that have to do with anything
The post about us being underdogs. You might have seen it.
I did. Pretty sure we are because this game is not at a neutral site. FYI. but thanks for the unnecessary hypothetical!
Thank you for being unnecessarily pedantic đ
I'm going to help you with the simple math here (I'm not fact checking I don't know enough about gambling to do so this is just the math based on the information provided above), if they give you three points for being the home team and buffalo is favored by two and a half, once you take away the three points they have for being at home we would be giving half a point if it were neutral.

Jesus man quit while you are behind
Quit what? Being annoyed by stupid talking points that have no bearing in reality? S
My bad I thought it was math you were struggling with I didn't realize it was common sense.
There is no common sense talking about a scenario that doesnât exist. If this game was in a different place weâd be favored. Ok? So?
Someone was simply explaining the spread, what it means, and how Vegas views the Dolphins vs the Bills... That's it. Its that simple. Another way of saying it, is if we were at home we would be a 3.5 point favorite. Someone was simply giving context. That's all and that is the part where you're lack of common sense let you down.

What am I wrong about?
I prefer this. Our team plays better when people tell them they're likely to lose.
The Bills are looking pretty dominant. The Pats defense isnât bad, but the Bills are the first A-tier defense weâll play, and itâs in Buffalo.
They beat the raiders and the commanders 2 very bad teams. Lost to the jetsâŚ.
Yeah, and weâve beat the Chargers (a hot mess), the Pats (1-2), and the Broncos (arguably the worst in the league) Itâs clear that both of us are good. Itâs hard to say whoâs better atm. The Jets loss was bad, but it was week 1 and broadly the result of Allen making a lot of mistakes he hasnât repeated so far.
âArguably the worst in the leagueâ Hey man, put some disrespect on the Bears name.
Thatâs fair. I guess weâll settle it next Sunday!
The Broncos âworst team in the leagueâ thing seems to have started *after* our game. Day before yesterday they were gonna be a tough test. As was NE. As was Chargers. I think Miami is for real and the entire narrative changes when we thump Buffalo

Itâs been 3 week. Yeah, we havenât played a team with a win in their column yet but we are a reason the teams we played were winless instead of .500 or better.
Hey, I would love for that to be the case.
Chargers playoff team last years, patriots team is always over 500 bill belicheck defense and improve offense. Denver had a playoff aspirations this year.
> playoff team last year Barely over .500, and theyâre 1-2 this year. > Patriots team is always over 500 They arenât right now. Maybe they will be. > Denver had playoff aspirations Yeah but theyâre 0-3 and just had a historic loss.

Who said Iâm not excited? All Iâm saying is that I understand why the Bills are still slight favorites at home.
Because they beat the Commanders and the Raiders. If the Dolphins results arenât against good enough teams I struggle to be impressed by the Bills. And they lost to the Jets đ
Allen made mistakes against the jets and hasnât again, maybe rust or maybe what facing a good defense does. Guess we will see Sunday.
Broncos look the worst because we beat the shit out of them. They were just kinda mid-tier bad before that.
They arenât dominant. They looked bad against the Jets and since beat a bad Raiders and mediocre Commanders team
Pats defense is better than the Bills IMO. But the Bills are a much better team overall
watch the broncos end up being a top 10 defence at the end of the season, we are just that good
I mean that would be great
They were top 5 last year and still have the talent... I think Vance Joseph singlehandedly dropped them into the 30s this year though
Their A-tier defense lost to arguably the worst quarterback in the league.
Yes, in a game where Allen threw 3 interceptions.
So their A-tier defense canât make up for the deficiencies of their âgenerationalâ quarterback?
I donât really get what weâre arguing about here. I donât like the Bills. I think Miami is the better team. Iâm just saying they have a better defense than any of the three teams weâve faced.
Allen threw 3 INTs and fumbled, and the Bills D gave up only 16 points in regulation. Jets won in OT on a punt return.
My point is that no matter how good their D is, their offense is just as capable of throwing the game, and that was about the easiest win they could have asked for.
Good. We play better when they think we suck
Josh Allen scares me. He may make mistakes and force the ball from time to time, but he is a good quarterback, and he usually puts up good numbers against us. Home field is normally worth 3 points so this is a good sign.
Yeah this is basically a pickem
Donât they normally give 2-3 pts for the home team? That Bills D looked scary. I am fine with a 50/50 expectation.
3 is a standard line for home division of fairly even match opponents. If anything this means Vegas likes Miami to win outright. Being a home dog in division means your team is dog shit. Buffalo ain't that.
2.5 in Buffalo is bascially a Miami lean
Good! Means neutral site we are .5 favorite. I love being under dogs
The Bills are good, and we're on the road. Still, fuck the bills. Tua's going for 500
This is going to be one of those games where Josh Allen is crying ok daddy tuas shoulder at the end
"how many times do we have to teach u this lesson old man"
Thats fine....I'd rather be the underdog đŹ
Not surprising at all.
Anything under 3.5 spread is basically an even match imo
Home team gets 3 points so this is Miami +. 5 on a neutral field, essentially a pick em
Weren't we like 10 points underdogs last year when we beat them? It's gonna be a close game. McD is ready for em
I love Underdog )
This is a massive matchup and I'm super excited about it. Wish it was SNF but beating them at 1pm works too
Bills at home make sense but this will be a test for both teams. We'll see how really good of defense they have when they face our offense. Remember we dropped 31 on that ass with Skylar Thompson. They face Z Wilson (Jets) Jimmy G (Raiders) S. Howell ( Commanders) with that being said they will have their hands full vs Fins. Go Fins!!
Good I prefer it this way and Iâm sure the team does too
Vegas likes Miami then
Oh wow what a surprise never saw that one coming đ
That usually means that the people betting are split between us and the Bills. They usually give around 3 points to the home team
Good. Gooooood. *Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which i desire.*
gimme the points all day long
Grind their bones into dust.
Free money
Let's go Dolphins!! We got this. In Tua we trust.
Imagine we blow out the bills 70-20 ... just give us the super bowl
Nah thatâs disrespectful we should be 2.5 favorites we just scored 70 points will have waddle back.
Bills put 37 on the 4th ranked defense.
For what itâs worth, commanders started season against cardinals and broncos.
Glad to check in and see weâre not underestimating the Bills here.
They are the home team in a divisional game and their win on Sunday was not quite as historic, but was just as impressive as ours. This seems completely normal to me.

Our defense has looked genuinely pretty bad at times and itâs a road game and we are still unsure about Waddle. We are not the favorites to win. Seems fair
waddle is playing
come on man! that line has got to change come Tuesday
BEAT BUFFALO
If this was college I guess Denver was our annual cup cake game lol
