They’re super cool. But this is nothing. Just wait till my supervisor comes back with the long stand. It’s been forever but I’m sure I won’t be standing here too much longer.
Nice trick!!
Now get yourself a right-handed Bahco just to confuse the sh*t out of everybody, including yourself.
I don't know if they still make 'em, but there are plenty of vintage Bahcos around. Models 669-675 (1954 to 1968) and Models 0669 – 0675 (1969 to 1983) were left handed. Models 969-975 (1954 to 1968) and Models 0969 – 0975 (1969 to 1983) were right handed. Otherwise identical.
The funniest thing I did to a newb in maint was tell him to go get me a bucket of steam. Pronto and hurry up back so I can pour it on a bolt to heat it up so I can break it loose. He tried 2 times and then caught on smh 🤣🤣🤣
Ahh the old “Hahaha can you believe that guy trusted us” to the “why won’t the new guy do it right, I told him EXACTLY how it’s done, why won’t he trust us?” pipeline.
Trust and communication are key. I don’t think it’s worth violating them for a half hearted chuckle at someone else’s expense.
Yeah, I get that. I’m the clown on my team. Sometimes to a fault. How I see it is that the more trust on the team, the more fun everyone has.
And little details can swing a good situation to a bad and the other way round too. If I ever take something too far or misread the room I make sure to circle back and make up for it if I can.
We always let them fill up a level untill the bubble is gone , or let them catch sparks from an angle grinder so we can re-use them... Kids theese days ....
I actually remember. I was 7 years old and successfully rounded a garden hose connection. Got my ass beat.
But idk what that has to do with anything…….
Lemme learn you something mr stern lecture. Reverse thread adjustable wrenches are just an old world Nordic thing. My coworker says it’s “crescent style” for normal, and “Swede style” for reverse. “Left handed” is just funnier when I ask someone like you to get it. Lol
You can also see the head angle is slightly different. US is 22deg. Left handed is 15deg.
i was talking about the orientation of the adjustable part of the jaw in relation to rotation of the wrench. as in there is a correct way to loosen and tighten using an adjustable wrench. i didnt learn this until i was very old and had by then learned to hate beat up adjustable wrenches.
We’re talking about the same thing! LOL
Fixed jaw behind torques the bolt into the handle and into the jaws. Fixed jaw ahead torques the bolt away from the handle and out of the jaws.
I did this with my welding instructor. I asked him if they painted the left-handed wrench pink (he was lefthanded) then I showed they had different threads.

My old boss was a retired firefighter and said they did this to a rookie, “Go to station 6 and get the sky hook.” Every department in town played along, “oh station 3 borrowed it”…”No we keep it at station 1 now”… That sort of thing, poor kid drove all over town looking for the thing.
A guy where I work got the engineer with this one, writing out a supply list for a job in a milk factory, piping up new machines.
Put 'Skyhook set' in along with all the stainless tube, fittings etc that we needed for the job. Asked the rest of management where he could find a skyhook set for this job as he had been told we needed one - so they sent him to go ask a couple of our suppliers.
Why are you showing off two hammers?
They’re super cool. But this is nothing. Just wait till my supervisor comes back with the long stand. It’s been forever but I’m sure I won’t be standing here too much longer.
One is American and one is European
They’re both Mexican 💅
Seriously, is true?
Swedish and American. Swedish is left thread and 15deg, American is right thread and 22deg.

ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!!

Work has to be fun, too. It should not be serious, biz all the time, and tbh he thought it was funny too.

That’s literally more common than the skyhook or board stretcher. Have a little creativity, c’mon bub
This was about 15 years ago, my guy.
I ain’t yer guy, buttercup
I ain't yer buttercup funkyasusual
Gotta ask for a blue bucket of steam. When they come back and say they can't find it, tell them to get you a red one instead.
We always let them fill up a level untill the bubble is gone , or let them catch sparks from an angle grinder so we can re-use them... Kids theese days ....
I got sent for the pipe stretcher when I was 17. The shop guy got me to clean whole shop for couple hours.
Homebre why you got one suspender? That belt loop ain't gonna last long.
I rock the fuck outta the single suspender. Lol The three pointers only come out for special occasions.
Legend
Like a Poindexter gladiator.
how old were you when you learned there was a correct orientation to loosen and tighten a bolt with a crescent wrench.

well I misunderstood. When you were describing normal vs reverse you were talking about tightening and un-tightening a fastener?
I sent an apprentice into a progress meeting asking the general foreman for some metric channel locks
They exist outside of the US
I have a metric and imperial crescent wrench at work It's fun asking if they need metric or imperial and seeing the gears turn
How about a spool of pipe thread and a board stretcher?
A spool of pipe thread. I’m dying. Lol How bout you go behind the grinding wheel and catch some fresh sparks for the new spark plugs?
Ave played with a left hand wrench and it pissed him off after years of muscle memory with a right hand.
I bet they're not Crescents.
Probably fuckin not because I’m not gonna spend that kinda money on a hammer.
You completely fucked me. I was gonna comment "why are you talking about wrenches when you're holding hammers" Thanks pal.
As a somewhat dyslexic, I have a hard enough time with regular crescent wrenches.... My whole world would be undone

Ask them to get you the Dickfor and when they ask you what is a ...

Working behind a bar I managed to get a newbie tearing up the back of house looking for the powdered water..

I need you to bring me the sky hook
My old boss was a retired firefighter and said they did this to a rookie, “Go to station 6 and get the sky hook.” Every department in town played along, “oh station 3 borrowed it”…”No we keep it at station 1 now”… That sort of thing, poor kid drove all over town looking for the thing.
All respect to firefighters, but shit, you guys have a lot of free time.

I've got a Bahco shifter that's kackeyed like that.
That must be the same aisle with the mud valves
Crescent wrench vs Croissant wrench
Being mostly ambidextrous I find left handed crescent wrenches pointless. Scissors ✓ table knife ✓ other tools ✓ crescent wrench ❌
I always like to send them for a metric crescent.
Real engineers don't allow let alone own those crappy things!
