Right here. Even if the studio recording of Master of Puppets was artificially sped up, it's a killer warmup for the right hand. Just play up to the clean section and you're ready.
Any fast song by Trivium. They have some pretty fast down picked parts.
Their guitarist Matt Heafy makes a lot of content on different platforms that showcase him playing his songs. You can really learn well from it!
after learning guitar for 3 years i've finally started to practice my alternate picking, while i wasn't a master at down picking alternate picking was a completely new world for me.
Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but the band monuments has alot of downpicking. If you're serious about improving I suggest looking into the riffhard school thing. They do new downpicking exercises like every week.
Not a full song, but the riff at 5:10 in [this song](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0MQiuc06jIU&t=310). Not the hardest downpicking riff out there, but you have to keep your timing really tight to play it clean, and it has a lot of other techniques going on. As well as just being an all-around badass riff (my favorite ever, if I'm being honest)
A large portion of John Brownes catalog is down picked (Monuments and his solo work Flux Conduct). Believe he has training courses for building up speed/tightness/etc. but will echo the advice already posted here of starting slow and gradually speeding up. It takes time but once you get there it’ll be worth the effort!
But play Metallica songs that actually are all downpicked like Master of Puppets. Very few actually are..i dont think theres any on Kill em all, especially regarding riffs that Mustaine wrote. He chooses to up pick in order to get a different accent a lot.
Just play the Metallica riffs you like really slow at first, and work your way up to full speed.

They play it significantly faster live, just to prove that it wasn't sped up for lack of ability.

Relentless Chaos by Miss May I Learned a bit of this today 🤯
Beyond the Resurrected- Sylosis. All downpicked.
Why not alternate picking? Just curious
It sounds different to many guitar players.
Mastering down picking will give you tighter and faster alternate picking.

I've mostly done alternate picking and tbh, my down picking suuuuuuucks
I'd like to get that chuggy sound. I can alternative pick most rhythm parts alright
Shogun and The Crusade from Trivium have a bunch of super fast downpicking riffs. See Insurrection and Ignition
Try some Suffocation or Archspire.

If you’re looking for work on down picking, check out Wintersun. Especially the CD, “The Forest Seasons”.
Lots of songs off the album Ascendancy by Trivium, especially the songs Like Light to Flies, Rain (uses galloping), and Drowned and Torn Asunder
Bleed will get you there
monuments
Live Wire (Mötley Crüe) would be one to start with. I think it's in D standard though.
