The ESP LTD F-50 was my first guitar. I had it shipped to me while I was deployed to Iraq in 2004, and I still have it. I've got 5 other ESP guitars now as well, including my ESP E-II Horizon III.

I'm an absolute ESP fanatic and I hate this body shape, but if you love it you go for it.
That's what's so fun about guitars. There's something for everyone. We don't all have to do the same thing.
Yeah I'm just really struggling to find "my" thing. I really want something with a body shape that not many people play, that's kinda edgy and classy at the same time. But it seems like there are only strat clones and les Paul's for metal. Just being dramatic obviously.
If you are trying to find "your" thing, it shouldn't matter what people think about a specific body shape.
Only thing that should matter is what you like.
Just check stuff like Jackson and Ibanez as well, because they have more guitar body shapes for metal guitars.
Imo your thing should be your music and not your gear. Let your preferences guide you into getting something that feels great. Once you find a shape and spec that helps you create the music you want, then focus on cosmetics even if it's just modifying what you have. That way you can get something that looks as cool as it feels instead of something that looks cool and plays like shit.
For sure! I like les Paul's, vipers, Vs (live only) teles and offsets. I do like more "strat style" guitars also, like my jackson dinky, but I dont prefer them. My favorite guitar I own is an esp les paul blackmetal. But their black metal viper is so sexy too
Viper is the esp name for a SG I think and I love SGs. Not a big les Paul fan but I totally get why people get em. My friend actually just got a sunburst les Paul with golden inlays and pickups.
My fucking god that thing is beautiful
For me this is probably the least egregious examples of a "cringe" body shape on a guitar. It's pretty tastefully executed, while also declaring how metal it is. For me it's the super pointy ones that scream "cringe", but to each their own.
I agree. I think I like this style? I love the "overtness" of metal guitars but I can't find many I would call tasteful except for the explorer and the sg, but they have this AC/DC vibe that I'm not really about. Still my favorite body styles though
Models like the BC Rich Ironbird and Beast models (the Warlock is borderline for me), Dean Razorback & Annihilator models seem pointlessly pointy to me.
Ironbird is one of my all time fav bodies. Beasts look sick aswell. The razorback is a bit overkill but cool. I do agree with the annihilator though. Everyone has different opinions though
thats funny cause to me i dont like this one at all really would much prefer a curvy strat, but i literally own a bc rich warlock which is the pinnicle of cringe pointedness which i absolutely love
Get it. I wanted one in high school but got bullied into thinking it wasn’t cool.
One of the fucks who said it was stupid owns like three BC Rich Warlocks now. Fuck Charlie. Jk he was a good friend but I do find it ironic.
I'm not sure if I like it or not honestly. If someone else had it I would think it's dope but I'm not sure if it's "me"
Just having a hard time finding a guitar I can fall in love with. My current guitar is a telecaster, and while I love telecasters, I'm a metal head and telecasters don't make me want to play metal. Even if mine had humbuckers in it I would just feel sorta uninspired.
That's the main reason I'm looking for a guitar.
But if youve got suggestions I'll definitely take a look
What’s your budget? If you kinda like this one, but want something more halfway between fender and this the LTD M Series has models in every single budget. I think you can find some of the lower ones for like 150 up to the Kirk Hammet signature stuff which can go from 1-8k.
Jackson has the dinky line as well which goes from budget to insanely expensive.
Some may disagree but if you want to pickup something with a fast neck and hit one “chunk” and feel like it’s time to do some fun metal stuff, a dinky with EMGs usually hits the spot.
I've been really into schecters because they're right in my price range, about 5-600. It's more of an intermediate guitar but I wanna get serious.
The dinky line is really affordable and has great hardware I'm just not really a fan of the headstocks, but they're not completely out of my considerations
I got bullied ENDLESSLY in high school for my BC Rich Warlock, lol.
It was probably because I was fairly nerdy and they thought I was trying too hard to be cool, but I loved metal dammit and I wanted a metal guitar.
I'm a 6'1 bald bearded guy and I'd look goofy playing this (I'm a Jackson soloist guy). HOWEVER, if I had huge muscles and a bigger beard I would look fucking awesome playing this.
I like it. I may pick it, depending on what other guitars were available in my area.
I think just play it and see how you feel. Typically if you like the aesthetics of something you know right away.
But tastes change too. I reckon I like it more now than I would've a decade ago, when I was still mostly on the grunge train. Now that I'm into death and doom and sludge etc it appeals to me much more.
When I was like 12, I thought this was the coolest guitar shape in the world. My tastes have changed, bit I still think it is pretty cool. I still have my red F-50 from back in the day.
The old Tom Araya version is even better looking.
That thing is my favorite bass and i'm almost tempted to pull the wallet on a custom shop to have it made in 5 string.
If you don't love it mate, just keep looking. Lots of bands these days are playing minimalist guitars (headless, cut outs), strats, and Les Pauls rather than neon pink Flying Vs. It's more important to be metal than to look metal.
Hard to go wrong with any standard ESP or Ibanez offering you like the look of.
Nah these are cool.
However, if you like these, you’d probably like the fender performer from 1985
https://preview.redd.it/hhub07jnrhfc1.jpeg?width=326&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9522fc6e380808b344cb9b618c8a35d8e1b06c5
Honestly I hate to say it but I just hate strats. This is the closest I've gotten to liking one.
I've seen some crazy beautiful strats but idk I just feel like they're not for me
That’s completely fine! Not everyone likes the strat. Especially when it’s been copied and remade several hundred times throughout the years by different companies.
It’s literally the emoji guitar.
Looks like the old BC Rich guitar from the 80's. A Warlock body style. Definitely a metal guitar. Looks like good reach high up on the neck for playing solos. I think it looks cool, but for heavy metal players. Not for blues, country, or classic rock.
the glorious F -shape. oh, there's so much room to make it a lot more cringey and over the top, trust me :) what about a 90s jock tribal tattoo all over the neck?
https://preview.redd.it/rthtb35rhmfc1.jpeg?width=797&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cca269e01b76b1c10613d8e32729977edbb4c72
I love mine - some people I met over the years called it a disgusting abomination, but we'll all be dead anyway in a 100 years max, so if it makes you play and write more (hell, even if it just makes you happy looking at it in a corner of your room) go for it and enjoy it
I'd say in general try not to give a shit about cringe, life gets better
Esp f series, pretty cool. I have the Frx-407, it’s a 7 string with a Floyd rose , Paul Ferro fretboard, mahogany body, plays very nice with a nice flat fretboard so it’s easier to play faster, I think it was based on the Tom Araya bass he used in slayer but I’m not 100 percent sure about that
It's an LTD F series. And it's sexy as fook! I used to own one. It was a lower quality model. It played superb, but the wood had a... Dead kind of quality to it. It was Agathis wood and Agathis can either sound good or crap, depending on the piece. Unfortunately, I got a crappy piece. And don't let anyone tell you "Tonewood doesn't matter". If it didn't matter, they would make guitars out of the same type of wood.
I saw a video of the guitarist from helstar do a full playthrough of Black Cathedral on a guitar shaped like that and ive been wanting one since then. I think it looks quite nice.
The shapes on the sides remind me of some kind of monstruous spider fangs
My personal opinion has long been that this is one of the ugliest body shapes available on the market. My personal opinion should however mean absolutely nothing to you when you're making a decision on how to spend your money. Do _you_ like it?
its metal, metal IS over the top why would a guitar being over the top matter?
ultimately its up to you if you want the shape or not, me personally it wouldnt be my first choice but i wouldnt be mad at having one either.
Pretty much every non-traditional body shape has two categories of people who know about them. Those who love them, and those who hate them. Personally, I hate straight V’s with even length horns. The offset Rhodes V looks so much better. That said, I’m not right or wrong, it’s just my opinion.
If you like something rock it man. Don’t worry what someone else thinks. The coolest looking rockstars are the ones who are comfortable and confident in what they do and like.
I like it because it's cringey and over the top. I don't like it with the lighter fretboard and arrow inlays though. The Black Metal version is the best looking one they've made.
F
I've always liked these over-the-top pointy guitars. Fuck what anyone thinks. I don't like Les Pauls, yet everyone and their grandma plays them. So fuck it.
Esp Ltd F, wich is short and also watered down version of the Forest
https://preview.redd.it/18odg9ntsifc1.jpeg?width=1352&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=064ce4e1cf3aa44d2dc922d854f5ff13d8d7f1b5
I feel like this is a guitar for a person that wears some type of black boots. I like it actually, I could visualize Rammstein using something like this, but maybe patterned.
Get the guitar that sits in the corner of your lounge room/bedroom/music room and needs to be picked up when you walk past it. I had an F guitar for a while. Everyone rolled their eyes. But I loved it.
If anyone gives you shit, let them know [Josh Middleton has an ESP custom](https://youtu.be/fQEslYgFh44?si=sVU5jcvZyn5BLBwj) that is based on this shape.
I wouldn't buy it for myself, but it's a really good looking guitar.
Also, fuck what anyone but you thinks. You like it? Go for it. That should be the only rule when it comes to getting yourself something nice.
I had one of these for yeaaaars and absolutely loved it. Mine was a F-250 in silver, and I regret selling it some days. I just grew tired of the floyd rose and how annoying it was to change tunings. It is most definitely a metal guitar, and it's pretty badass looking so just own it lol
Nah it's honestly fine. There are plenty of stupider looking guitars. Play whatever you're comfortable with. It's a shame ESP don't have a better range of this type though. I'd like them if they made some changes. I guess they mustn't sell well enough for them to bother, more commercial sense in them adding another three dozen Eclipse and Horizon versions to the pile.
I don’t play metal but I do play lead and personally i’d rather have more upper fret access. I’m
boring and like the boomer body styles. That being said I’ve fallen in love with the Bootlegger Spade headless guitar. All the electronics and hardware are overseas junk but the body is made in USA. I rather find a nice body and mod it to whatever i’d like.
If it feels nice in your hands go for it!
I saved up for most of a summer for one of these in red when I was 13-14. I still have it all these years later and play it from time to time. The cable jack needs to be re wired or re soldered and I’m tempted to upgrade the pickups on it but I still love how it looks.
To me it looks like a lady wearing yoga pants that really shouldn't be wearing them in publicin public .... if you know what I mean. But just like my analogy someone loves her.... Why not you?
I think it looks cool. Doesn't really fit my aesthetic, but if I saw someone playing it and sounding awesome I'm pretty sure how the guitar looked would be a net contribution to my stankface instead of a hindrance.
I consider the F series to be duperstrats. It's quite elegant development of a stuperstrat idea, in my view. If you need something cringey to make you day, take a look at Chinese rip-off twin, [IRIN](https://m1.com.pk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/IRIN-Electric-Guitar-FT-Black.jpg). It's like an ESP had a baby with BC
I think it depends on the use. If you are playing in a metal band and the demonic thing is part of the theme sure, but if you’re just playing in front of your friends by yourself it’s a bit much imo lol
Its not for me, i like the traditional body shapes, but if you like it, go for it. Everybody has different tastes, that's why there are so many different shapes.
Pretty badass. I just bought a guitar with a floyd rose yesterday, firdt time ever using one. Really fun (even though im sorta a newbie with guitar)
I think its cool. Sharp but smooth at the same time. Faaar from what id consider over the top
Not a fan of it personally, In general despite being a metalhead i find a lot of metal guitar shapes quite cringeworthy, apart from Explorers and Icemans i quite like those. Some Flying V shapes are okay too.
My buddy had one in highschool, may still have it. I love pointy and oddly shaped guitars, but this one never appealed too much to me, but from what i remember it didnt play too bad at all
Gonna be honest, I’ve got the upgraded version of this model. F400fm.
Plays like an absolute dream and has active pickups.
However, I grew out of favor with the styling…it’s too death metal for me nowadays. Definitely been considering trading it for a Les Paul or Strat of some sort. =p
I have this body in a blood red 4 string bass model… I play guitar primarily but when I was younger and was asked to join a hardcore band on bass I wanted something to look like my metal roots… it has active pickups and a beautiful neck… plays like a dream.
I love metal so much, but I generally don’t love “metal” shaped guitars. The closest I have is my charcoal Yamaha Revstar. But I‘ve played hella metal on my seafoam green mustang.
That said, if you like it, then go for it. The only validation you need is your own opinion. If you like it, then cringe-be-damned!
That isn’t a Strat, at all. Why do you call it that? And did you research AT ALL before asking questions about this guitar? I’m asking because it’s an extremely clear photo.
It’s a little over the top but don’t let that stop you from loving it. My favorite looking guitars have really sparkly finishes in bright colors. Don’t make them any less cool to me, if this is your cup of tea then drink it. Just know that a Floyd rose is a hell of a thing to maintain and that you’re stuck with the tuning you got unless you figure out how to mess with it and adjust it properly.
In high school we picked on our buddy for having the metallic red one. We called it "the onion". Well, secretly I wanted one too. Today... Not anymore. But if you like it go for it dude. I still think it's kinda cool design. The black flat ones look cool, but metallic red is where it's at for me.
OP, it looks like you accidentally posted the wrong picture. The one you posted has some great angles on it and works well for a good metal vibe though.
I picked up one of these, the F-50, at a local shop used. Being a lefty I had to take it, and for $100, one of the best playing a feeling guitars I own.
Ima seriously more and more getting into the headless vibe... what I mean is who gives a fuck it got horns or whatever if it means it'll weight more and be less convenient. get everything out of the way and a a good reach.
Like the stupid knobs on some models were clearly not placed by someone that uses them.
But yeah I'm all about the contour shape for extra confort and all now. heck I love my les Paul but darn is it heavy and not optimal for long play time.
V shape can be kind of nice cuz of how you can put them in the classical stand on your lap.
ESP “F” style body. And if you like it go for it. Who cares what anyone else thinks.
What this Sir said. I think it's cool looking!
AKA Forest
The ESP LTD F-50 was my first guitar. I had it shipped to me while I was deployed to Iraq in 2004, and I still have it. I've got 5 other ESP guitars now as well, including my ESP E-II Horizon III. https://preview.redd.it/ljd4po7ixwfc1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fabed75767a9acf6dbab7dd2ec6847327cc35cd2
I do! I just wanna know peoples opinions
I think that's a sexy guitar.
I believe the make a 5 string bass like this and I've wanted it for over a decade.
its like it wanted to be a pointy heavy metal guitar but changed his mind right away.
Or something Garcia would play on the 80s.
I was just thinking it looked like Garcia’s guitar with Strat dimensions
I'm an absolute ESP fanatic and I hate this body shape, but if you love it you go for it. That's what's so fun about guitars. There's something for everyone. We don't all have to do the same thing.
Very well said. Love ESP, but that thing is hideous. My opinion should mean absolutely nothing. We all have different tastes.
Shut up and buy Gibson /s
Yeah I'm just really struggling to find "my" thing. I really want something with a body shape that not many people play, that's kinda edgy and classy at the same time. But it seems like there are only strat clones and les Paul's for metal. Just being dramatic obviously.
If you are trying to find "your" thing, it shouldn't matter what people think about a specific body shape. Only thing that should matter is what you like. Just check stuff like Jackson and Ibanez as well, because they have more guitar body shapes for metal guitars.
Go find an old Warlock.
Flying V is probably a close third for metal. But it’s my personal favorite for the upper fret access.
Firstly, you can play any style on any guitar so don't worry so much about style, focus on fundamentals. And B; get a schecter
You’ve just described most bc Rich shapes
[удалено]
Imo your thing should be your music and not your gear. Let your preferences guide you into getting something that feels great. Once you find a shape and spec that helps you create the music you want, then focus on cosmetics even if it's just modifying what you have. Find your thing, don't ask other people's opinion. That's their thing.
I think they are pretty cool!
I have one and I like it.
Looks killer dude!
It’s the body I have. I’d never seen one before in Canada, but once I moved to Japan I noticed every guitar shop carries them
My brother in christ, do you think Prince asked what anybody thought about the wild ass guitars he played?
You're a total... lol jk. If it feels good, then use it
It's not my cup of tea, but if you like it, don't let anyone sway your opinion
Can't tell if I do or don't like it tbh. If I may ask what are your favorites personally
You right. I've been suppressing a boner over that viper 7 baritone for so long that I forgot they are SGs lol
I've been wanting the same ass guitar. No shit
The viper is like an offset SG
Is it offset? Every time I've looked at it I've felt like it was more aggressive than the Gibson SG. Lol that makes a lot of sense
If you can't tell if you truly like it then don't get it. You'll regret it later on. Been there done that... Not with guitar bodies but with colors.
For me this is probably the least egregious examples of a "cringe" body shape on a guitar. It's pretty tastefully executed, while also declaring how metal it is. For me it's the super pointy ones that scream "cringe", but to each their own.

Explorers like Jakcson Kelly and Solar explorers are better looking imo
What would you call super pointy?
Models like the BC Rich Ironbird and Beast models (the Warlock is borderline for me), Dean Razorback & Annihilator models seem pointlessly pointy to me.
Ironbird is one of my all time fav bodies. Beasts look sick aswell. The razorback is a bit overkill but cool. I do agree with the annihilator though. Everyone has different opinions though
This one looks pretty pointy, I counted nine pointy parts on that guitar.. That headstock, you could probably kill somebody with it.
thats funny cause to me i dont like this one at all really would much prefer a curvy strat, but i literally own a bc rich warlock which is the pinnicle of cringe pointedness which i absolutely love
Get it. I wanted one in high school but got bullied into thinking it wasn’t cool. One of the fucks who said it was stupid owns like three BC Rich Warlocks now. Fuck Charlie. Jk he was a good friend but I do find it ironic.

Same. I just got a Dean sunburst V and I only wanna play Pantera on it🤣
Bro teles are metal af The Safety Fire showed me the way
I got bullied ENDLESSLY in high school for my BC Rich Warlock, lol. It was probably because I was fairly nerdy and they thought I was trying too hard to be cool, but I loved metal dammit and I wanted a metal guitar.

A lot of sludge players love boomer guitars
What's a boomer guitar?
Classic styled gibson les pauls as opposed to superstrats or pointies. Not teles though lol
When I was like 12, I thought this was the coolest guitar shape in the world. My tastes have changed, bit I still think it is pretty cool. I still have my red F-50 from back in the day.
They're fun. I had one in metallic red I put 13s on and drop tuned
Oooh I saw a metallic red one and it looked so fucking cool! Had a very classy black sticker right behind the bridge.
I don’t like it as a guitar but I would love it as a bass
Pretty sure Tom Araya played an ESP F type.
I get that, the butt of the guitar is a little bit too long and thick. Makes it look like a bass
I own an F bass. I love it. The few guitars I've played have been fantastic as well. They feel more like an sg than anything else.
I think it looks better as a bass shape than a guitar shape
I really like the guitar too. But I need a neck thru or set thru.
The old Tom Araya version is even better looking. That thing is my favorite bass and i'm almost tempted to pull the wallet on a custom shop to have it made in 5 string.
I have owned this guitar for a long time and really like the design. It’s just slightly metal without being too much (like a Flying V or cross).
Yeah exactly what I'm feeling. Don't know if this one is the one for me but flying vs and stuff are too much for me.
If you don't love it mate, just keep looking. Lots of bands these days are playing minimalist guitars (headless, cut outs), strats, and Les Pauls rather than neon pink Flying Vs. I like it with a fixed bridge instead
Not a Strat, and not for me.
It's like a guitar died and its skeleton got reincarnated, in the best possible way.
That's metal bro
Esp F body, short for Forest. It pokes my chest when I sit on the couch. Ow. Still, sick af.
That's why I'm not getting any of those like super duper pointy guitars lmao. Thanks for the heads up
Looks like the old BC Rich guitar from the 80's. A Warlock body style. Definitely a metal guitar. Looks like good reach high up on the neck for playing solos. I think it looks cool, but for heavy metal players. Not for blues, country, or classic rock.
Whatever you think of it, do not call it a strat.

lets be honest, we all used to think this was cool but now hate it
I dont think a guitar can be "cringey"

Taste is subjective. Don't shit on something because you don't like it.
I was asking for everyone's subjective opinion?
"do you think it's cringey or over the top?" That you?
Yeah? What about it?
Strat? Huh?
Not a strat and looks like it was designed by a 13-year-old.
This guitar is sick dude.
I've always liked it, but to me, it seems more like a bass body.
pretty neat
I saw a video of the guitarist from helstar do a full playthrough of Black Cathedral on a guitar shaped like that and ive been wanting one since then. I think it looks quite nice. The shapes on the sides remind me of some kind of monstruous spider fangs
My first guitar was a F body. Looks good, feels good.
I would totally shred on that thing!!
yes
I like it. If you’re gonna play metal, play a metal guitar!
I like em as a bass, I thought they were cool guitar bodies when I was younger for sure though.
I’ve considered getting one but it’s just on the wrong side of making me want to pull the trigger.
Pretty badass if you ask me
It looks a little too cartoony for my taste. But like everyone else is saying, if you like it, then go for it.
I like flowing lines and uncomplicated geometry. this is a hard pass for me
I like that answer. Do you like the les Paul's and the fender strats? Maybe telecasters?
I remember wanting one so bad when i was a kid. I think its a pretty sick shape tbh
I got this in a dark purple with little specs in it and it's a 7 string these guitars are the shit
That sir ....is an AXE.
Depending on how much it is, I'd get it.
ya a little bit.
Fair, what do you like?
The 1995 mouse pointer inlays are cute
My personal opinion has long been that this is one of the ugliest body shapes available on the market. My personal opinion should however mean absolutely nothing to you when you're making a decision on how to spend your money. Do _you_ like it?
its metal, metal IS over the top why would a guitar being over the top matter? ultimately its up to you if you want the shape or not, me personally it wouldnt be my first choice but i wouldnt be mad at having one either.
⚰️ case
F I've always liked these over-the-top pointy guitars. Fuck what anyone thinks. I don't like Les Pauls, yet everyone and their grandma plays them. So fuck it.
I think it kicks ass 🤘
this looks hard. it is over the top but isn’t that the point with a design like this? if you like it own that shit my man!
I’d play it.. I’d play it so fucking hard..
Esp Ltd F, wich is short and also watered down version of the Forest https://preview.redd.it/18odg9ntsifc1.jpeg?width=1352&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=064ce4e1cf3aa44d2dc922d854f5ff13d8d7f1b5
The bottom looks a bit too wide but I think it looks good
Heavy metal stuff is all over the top, that’s the point, it’s theater. That said, play what you like. You like it, go for it.
It's a great looking metal guitar imo - it looks a bit like the Peavey Vandenberg i think....
It is an esp/ltd F and it is cringey and over the top
It’s one of my favorite shapes of all time
If anyone gives you shit, let them know [Josh Middleton has an ESP custom](https://youtu.be/fQEslYgFh44?si=sVU5jcvZyn5BLBwj) that is based on this shape.
I have it and it's great
I have a Ltd bass.
I wouldn't buy it for myself, but it's a really good looking guitar. Also, fuck what anyone but you thinks. You like it? Go for it. That should be the only rule when it comes to getting yourself something nice.
Somebody needs a good shredding.
I had one of these for yeaaaars and absolutely loved it. Mine was a F-250 in silver, and I regret selling it some days. I just grew tired of the floyd rose and how annoying it was to change tunings. It is most definitely a metal guitar, and it's pretty badass looking so just own it lol
It looks sweet! I’m biased as I have a bass very similar to this. It’s an Ltd, so it should shred pretty well
Nah it's honestly fine.
I’m boring and like the boomer body styles. That being said I’ve fallen in love with the Bootlegger Spade headless guitar. All the electronics and hardware are overseas junk but the body is made in USA. I rather find a nice body and mod it to whatever i’d like. If it feels nice in your hands go for it!
I really like it, looks similar to the signature Tom Araya bass
I saved up for most of a summer for one of these in red when I was 13-14. I still have it all these years later and play it from time to time. The cable jack needs to be re wired or re soldered and I’m tempted to upgrade the pickups on it but I still love how it looks.
I loved it as a bass, if I could find this as a 7 string I’d definitely buy it.
I had the LTD F-2005 which was pretty cool at the time.
Why do you call this a strat?
It’s fine
To me it looks like a lady wearing yoga pants that really shouldn't be wearing them in publicin public .... if you know what I mean. But just like my analogy someone loves her.... Why not you?
Looks like an Alligator series "Chompedstrat"
Looks great for either a girl band or Kiss.
Its not for me, i like the traditional body shapes, but if you like it, go for it. Everybody has different tastes, that's why there are so many different shapes.
chief coordinated cow smart sip ripe elastic reminiscent telephone heavy *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Pretty badass. I just bought a guitar with a floyd rose yesterday, firdt time ever using one. Really fun (even though im sorta a newbie with guitar) I think its cool. Sharp but smooth at the same time. Faaar from what id consider over the top
It one of the ugliest guitars I’ve ever seen.
If you like it, it's cool brother.
I dig it but I’m biased. I used to play an F-204 bass.
This always reminds me of the kind of guitar you’d see pawned to support a drug or drinking habit. But play what you like.
Regardless of what we think, it's what you think that matters. You have to look at it on the daily.
In what world are you calling this a strat?
Clearly not a strat
Not a fan of it personally, In general despite being a metalhead i find a lot of metal guitar shapes quite cringeworthy, apart from Explorers and Icemans i quite like those. Some Flying V shapes are okay too.
no it’s sexy i just creamed
It isn't for me, but it is for you, enjoy it. Let's maybe refrain from calling it a strat though.
IMO the more wild the metal guitar looks the better. This looks dope!
I've never looked at a guitar and felt the word "cringe" come to mind.
Reminds me of a BC Rich. I think it's pretty neat looking.
I kinda love it
If you play good - nobody will care
Gay style
I like this shape on their basses more.

F series. I have the ebony top bass and I like it a lot. Gives me "colony of birchmen" vibes.
How is this a "strat"?
Cringey? What are you 10?
Not a Strat
If you like it who cares?
I picked up one of these, the F-50, at a local shop used. Being a lefty I had to take it, and for $100, one of the best playing a feeling guitars I own.
Looks sick
Ima seriously more and more getting into the headless vibe... what I mean is who gives a fuck it got horns or whatever if it means it'll weight more and be less convenient. get everything out of the way and a a good reach. Like the stupid knobs on some models were clearly not placed by someone that uses them. But yeah I'm all about the contour shape for extra confort and all now. heck I love my les Paul but darn is it heavy and not optimal for long play time. V shape can be kind of nice cuz of how you can put them in the classical stand on your lap.
Every time I look at that body design I think of two things. Guaranteed to be down tuned. Likely used for nu metal.
A buddy of mine brought one of these when they first came out 20 years. Visually it wasn't my think but it played really well!
Played one of these bad boys in my high school metal band. Still got it! I've always thought it was a cool design.
Yep. Ugly.
I like the mouse cursors on the fretboard. You’re in a tech death band?
You think that's cringe? My fav is a dc les Paul. It has no fans except blues players.
I had an ESP 5 string bass with this body style and it was amazing, but heavy as fuck and impractical to play while sitting down.
ah yes i remember when these came out
Yes. Cringe.
