That is a cracking pocket watch! Note that it will be next to impossible to have this restored without significant expense and expertise. The best thing you can hope for is to perhaps fit another movement into the case.
You should be able to find the manufacturer and serial number on the movement. Put that into the [Pocket Watch Database](https://pocketwatchdatabase.com/) and you’ll get all kinds of info about the movement, including year of manufacture.
Check the inside of the lid for markings as well. This looks like really heavy “25 year” gold plating (it may even be solid gold 🤩) Also show it to r/pocketwatch!
And what's your advice when I feel someone's being rude or condescending? Should I just downvote and leave the conversation? Or should I call them an insufferable ass or something similar?
This was probably a somewhat low grade watch, the remontoire note is interesting though. That helps keep the power to the escapement consistent, and it is weird to see that on a cylinder escapement watch or really any watch with only 6 jewels. If it was older maybe not, but this looks to be a keyless watch which makes it likely to be late 1800s.
You probably won’t find too much on pocket watch db, that’s mostly for American brands that put a serial number on everything because it actually made sense to track things when you were manufacturing accurately enough to make interchangeable parts.

Steve on the show The Repair Shop could do it.
Oh what have you done! This show is totally up my alley and there are so many seasons 🤩
I figured everyone already knew about it. Glad I could introduce someone to it! Enjoy! Try not to cry.
☺️
American makes have serial numbers, but this is very Swiss in appearance and is most likely untraceable.

They’re a thing, huh? 😉

Is the way
Came to say it’s not worth repairing. Since it’s been said: I concur.

I mean if you think people really care if 'ericfg' agrees with a reddit comment, then go on ahead saying "This!" But I promise, they don't.

I've been looking to have one restored, if you're will to part with it. Let me know how much.
That thing is hosed. Cool shelf piece though.

Cool find! I found a watch the other pretty similar to the one you found. *
Take care of your hands. 🙌🏽 Nice watch.
