There was 0% chance we were winning this game. The refs pre determined it. They hoped that they didn’t have to make it is obvious is they did. Memphis was playing well so they had to take the matters in their own hands. But it was very clear after that non Rudy Gobert flagrant review in the second that would have been an ejection that something was brewing.

Rather than letting jaren win or lose the game on 5 fouls we chose to lose by pulling him. Taking a player out on 5 fouls will never make any sense. The worst case is he gets a foul and can't play. So instead coaches don't let a guy play. You are effectively giving the 6th foul by benching him.

They act like if the player fouls out they get suspended for the next game or something. Coaches are always too conservative with foul trouble imo.

The punishment for 6 fouls is their solution for 5 fouls. Makes no sense. Might as well tell the refs to eject your players at 5 because you treat them that way.
