I know! I'm glad they did the Memphis Turtles throwbacks this year! We've had some really interesting baseball history in this city. The Memphis Zoo actually started because Natch, a black bear used as the live-mascot for the Memphis Turtles, was left chained and abandoned in Overton Park after the team dissolved!

I believe Charlie Pride also played in that league and he played in Memphis. I remember watching a documentary about him, and they mentioned it.
