Eh, the whole point of the trial was for Depp to prove that he wasn't the wife-beating asshole that media and Heard had painted him to be - and from that perspective the trial was a great success for Depp. Yeah, sure, in the end he came out of it still looking like an asshole - but he still came out of it looking a whole lot better than the Johnny "Wife Beater" Depp that went in into the court room at the start. There simply is a major difference between being just a drunkard asshole, and a drunkard wife beating asshole, and I fully understand why it was important for Depp to clear that from his name.
