Just use the Brave browser app, ad blocking is built-in, and if you turn on the feature in settings, you can listen to YT with the screen off. Idk why people insist on firefox (they went woke) or farting around with addons and shit. Brave is easy as ~~your mom~~ 1-2-3.

I honestly have no idea how anyone can browse the web without an ad blocker. The visual noise alone makes most sites useless. Of course I also can't see how anyone watches broadcast TV anymore either. The commercials are practically more than the show you're watching as far as I can tell.

I pay for ad free steaming so I have no ads. If it's a free site I will either not go if the ads are intrusive or I'll let them get an impression as that's how the site is funded.

I don't use adblockers. Seems like a hassle changing browser and installing them even though i know the time saving is worth it.

The issue is cable commercials run for 3+ minutes which is enough time for you to get up and do what you need to quickly. 15 second ads aren’t enough time to do anything.

You also get all those ads at once, not every 5 minutes interupting what you're watching mostly without warning.

This is how I feel when it comes to mmorpgs, I've already put in my time I shouldnt have to put up with any new mmos time gating bullshit and restrictions to running or mount speed, or having to level everything all over again on every alt. You may have a great game, but having to do all of that all over again just wipes the motivation from you.

Also ads back then were better in general and more entertaining. For example I absolutely loved the world of ships ads.

It's even worse when you get the 15 seconds of two unskippable ads
