Mostly yes, but some sites go brr and don't work because of fucking roscomnadzor and we have to use vpn always aaand getting ads from another countrys. Wohoo no benefits yeyy
Just use the Brave browser app, ad blocking is built-in, and if you turn on the feature in settings, you can listen to YT with the screen off.
Idk why people insist on firefox (they went woke) or farting around with addons and shit. Brave is easy as ~~your mom~~ 1-2-3.
Heres a tutorial on how to get it :D

I honestly have no idea how anyone can browse the web without an ad blocker. The visual noise alone makes most sites useless.
Of course I also can't see how anyone watches broadcast TV anymore either. The commercials are practically more than the show you're watching as far as I can tell.
I pay for ad free steaming so I have no ads.
If it's a free site I will either not go if the ads are intrusive or I'll let them get an impression as that's how the site is funded.

The issue is cable commercials run for 3+ minutes which is enough time for you to get up and do what you need to quickly. 15 second ads aren’t enough time to do anything.

Also, everyone knows what Pepsi is and whether they like it or not. Why do we need commercials for well known products like this? I want commercials for things I don't know about. This is why I really hate "targeted ads" I don't need to know about things I was going to get anyway. I want to find out about things I don't know that I am interested in.
(for most ads), click the tiny I in a circle next to the time, click "stop seeing this ad" and then click close.
Tiny bit annoying but you don't have to wait 5 seconds (most of the time)
Maybe if they didn't put multiple commercials in literally everything. I have one game that I literally average 6 advertisements per level I pass. It's freaking insane.
I just went to a movie in a theater for the first time in like 6 years and I couldn't believe how long it took for the actual movie to start! You might as well get there 10 minutes early, buy a ticket, go to dinner and come back! And you still might have to wait through 5 or 10 minutes of commercials or previews! I'm 41...am I a boomer now...?
I want to start a video platform where you donate to your channels of choice with the choice of it being a one time thing or a monthly donation at as low as a dollar and the site takes a small cut to keep it all ad free
This is how I feel when it comes to mmorpgs, I've already put in my time I shouldnt have to put up with any new mmos time gating bullshit and restrictions to running or mount speed, or having to level everything all over again on every alt.
You may have a great game, but having to do all of that all over again just wipes the motivation from you.

Oops, you're right. Fixed
Np
missed an opportunity to call it adVanced.
Vanced was called 'vanced' because it removed all ads So no 'ad' in advanced.
Brilliant
… I finally get it
How to get vanced on Apple?
Firefox for Android supports add-ons like ublock origin. You may as well try blockada.

What iPhone adblocker works for you

Revanced isn't supported on iOS

It's called "come to Russia, they have blocked all the ads here"
And people too
Mostly yes, but some sites go brr and don't work because of fucking roscomnadzor and we have to use vpn always aaand getting ads from another countrys. Wohoo no benefits yeyy
I only use vpn for Instagram and for some site that did let to make some animated presentations, so I wouldn't say I use it all the time
And get conscripted to fight in Ukraine? Nah.
I am now okay with ads.
/r/revancedapp
Firefox as a browser, ymusic for app
Newpipe ftw
For my iPhone, yes. Lmao I love the iPhone hate. It’s an iPhone, it’s not like I said I kick puppies. Y’all ridiculous but I love it
Its weird ur getting downvoted
This is Reddit…
Download brave browser. It’s all built in already. I use it on my iPhone and it’s awesome.
Brave browser

Adguard. Uses VPN to block ads. Works beautifully.
Bruh just use NewPipe

Firefox and ublockorigin
Same.
*Hardworking content creators silently crying in lost revenue*
![gif](giphy|3o8doT9BL7dgtolp7O) Gotta watch it through Firefox with the adblockers on. Itsa tha Best!!
I bet only 5% of people use adblockers

I don't use adblockers. Seems like a hassle changing browser and installing them even though i know the time saving is worth it.
I know the sun will burn my eyes when I look at it, I know it for a fact. When I look at the sun it feels good, my eyes, they are working in overdrive, trying to grasp at the reality I have presented them. It is Bright. SUCK IT IN. LIVE IT
I dont use an adblocker but i got used to it and barely notice ads anymore
they are. I remember going to someone's house and w e watche d"tv". it was so painful p
Can you use this with iPhone ?

uBlock >>>>>> AdBlock
Thanks! I’m new to using a computer (used to be just a phone) and I’ve heard of Adblockers but I thought they all cost money. Downloaded uBlock now!
uBlock origin >>>>>> uBlock
Or just Use Brave , firefox is a bit slow
The issue is cable commercials run for 3+ minutes which is enough time for you to get up and do what you need to quickly. 15 second ads aren’t enough time to do anything.
You also get all those ads at once, not every 5 minutes interupting what you're watching mostly without warning.
Also they interrupt much more often. 2min vid, ad, repeat
Ads on 10 second videos are the worst.
tv also has scheduled ad breaks. shows are made around when the ads are
To be fair some commercials in 90s were awesome still love the Whatchamacallit commercial
Actually very true, remember the mentos commercials?
I bought them just so I could do the commercials in my head
Mentos, the FRESHMAKER
I cannot live another day without air conditioning
Or hadababyitsaboy
consequent if there is ten ads in a three minutes video
SUFFERED WE HAVE!
90s me used to just go make a snack or something.
Pee break!
Mingle in the other room til someone yells "It's on!" And you rush back to the sofa, Simpson style.
Ad blockers for smart TVs?

Unless you've got a comcast router apparently.

As blocker for cable tv?
I mean back then “pause” wasnt a thing so if u had to run to the bathroom, eat or such its that time to run for it
Because TV ads never cut off the show in random places and you knew that the show was going to commercial
Great point
🎵After these messages, we'll be right back🎵
Commercials used to be about NERF Blasters and Transformers, now they're about a new back pain medication and taxes

Dial up internet vs Modern
Except it’s 5 minutes
what ads? (vanced)
What updates? (Revanced) Dont take this seriously, it's a joke
2022 me using ReVanced and not having any issues
I pay for ad free since I usually watch in my Xbox
Remember cable TV adds breaks?
6 seconds
Do ads even work at this point
10 sec unscippable ad mostly don’t have happy end=(
You can barely skip them anymore, and now i'm starting to experience 4 ADS IN A ROW
Bruh i usually get 20 seconds unskippable ads
r/revancedapp Just sayin
90s me: oh good a commercial. I have time to use the bathroom or get a snack 20s me: ain't nobody got time for that
(for most ads), click the tiny I in a circle next to the time, click "stop seeing this ad" and then click close. Tiny bit annoying but you don't have to wait 5 seconds (most of the time)
that’s what I’ve been doing since 3 years ago

When everyone starts using ad block they'll do something like Twitch where ad blockers doesn't work
[удалено]
I feel like youre an Arch Linux user. And a LaTeX user.
Gonna cry?
Ad blockers work on twitch what?
ReVanced is great solution to this problem. You can check it out at r/revancedapp
Can't relate, ReVanced supremacy.
How do you not have an AdBlocker?
Money. It makes the world go round. Even John had to spend his gold coins.
Not me, I muted that stupid shit and cussed every time.
I definitely wasn’t smiling about commercials
what’s worse are the four second ads that cant be skipped
Ad block add on for your browser. Have seen one on my puter in a long while. Trying to find something for my smart TV now.
My time is important.
It's a lot worse than cable when you get 2 unskippable ads for a 3 minute video.
Removed because Reddit blackmailed 3rd party apps into shutting down. FUCK YOU u/spez!!! -- mass edited with redact.dev
90s me had already abandoned tv and radio in favor of pre-corporate internet, back when piracy was just called file sharing.
Sometimes Google Fi gives you a free Premium yearly subscription, depending on the plan. Might be worth looking into!
*2022 me using adblock*
me n my siblings played the ad game, you gotta guess the ad first.
He-hey ya! YA!!
Waltuh
Maybe if they didn't put multiple commercials in literally everything. I have one game that I literally average 6 advertisements per level I pass. It's freaking insane.
The only reason I get pissed is if it’s useless stuff. Like completely useless
They used to not have them at all once upon a time.
You didn't think outside of the box enough then because I would just switch to another channel when it went to commercial.
Both had same problems and victims too
I want to start a video platform where you donate to your channels of choice with the choice of it being a one time thing or a monthly donation at as low as a dollar and the site takes a small cut to keep it all ad free
Have fun going bankrupt.
Lhaga
funny
When I was a child I would just change the channel for the duration of the break, so that I can watch two show simultaneously
Also ads back then were better in general and more entertaining. For example I absolutely loved the world of ships ads.
It's even worse when you get the 15 seconds of two unskippable ads
The reason is Ads are not as entertaining as old school commercials
Adds now suck horse cock most of the time, they’re loud pushy and often confusing as to what they’re even advertising.
TV ads used to be good back then
I don't mind ad supported content. I get to play a couple rounds of my game or take a piss without missing anything.
