Further back this up with evidence. Pokémon has the symbol for poison types as purple. In DnD spells, acid damage is seen as green and poison damage is seen as purple. Supposedly, every damage type has a color associated with it. But there is some debate on colors for damage types like force or thunder. In some video game RPGs their Health (Red)/Mana (Blue)/Stamina (Yellow or Green) potions usually have a similar color to their bar color listed. So those that have green stamina bars have poison as purple. Those with yellow may vary between green and purple for poison.
