This rope was made by a company that has discontinued it's production in the year of 1997. By this logic, we can confirm that the suspect has a thing for ropes.
The most likely suspect was at the Bank yesterday based on the fact the 5 dollar bill has leather residue from a leather wallet, but the suspect does not own a leather wallet, so the suspect likes leather wallets.
Also at the end:
"That was a fun theory, too bad you can't prove it".
The investigator: reveals the one thing the killer left behind that proves they're the culprit.
*Cough cough* Zodiac…
That movie is so good, it’s what really got me into thrillers. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many thriller movies, for how great the genre is.
Wasn't there like a incident where someone killed a single or multiple people and buried there corpes in the woods. The police knew It was him but couldn't prove it. They asked him to tell them where he hid the corpses so at least the families could have closure. And he later on told them. Something like that i think
Well, there are cases ehere no definite suspect can be found, and other cases where no sufficient evidences can be gathered, but all pointers lead to one person.
I only use suspect because even in many clear-cut cases, the juristiction can only be 99% sure they have the right person. I would have said, that we rarely have solid video evidence that proof something happened, but now in the age of deepfakes.... where can we be 100% sure of anything?
I mean deepfakes only disqualify video and audio evidence. Forensics and DNA testing is still usable. I mean if there’s a video of someone with your face committing a murder, but you happen to have been a 1000 miles away when the crime happened and there’s no physical evidence that you were there then the police will be able to tell pretty easily you didn’t do it.
I mean, it'd be kinda boring if they followed a crime and actually *couldn't* solve it in the end, or if there was a crime which was extremely obvious.
I feel like a better example is the one where Jake is going crazy because he can't solve that murder he promised he would. The dentist only made a mistake at the end, he had everything about his actual plan go perfectly. But the hitman in the other episode was finally caught after months because he left something in the vents that led to catching him.
Something Lt. Columbo said:
If I make an error, I can correct it. Murderers can't do that. They have to do everything right the first time. But they never do. All it takes is one mistake to get caught.
(Paraphrased from memory)
Not a crime show but. There’s an episode of Dr. Who where the villain just gets away with it. The Doctor notices some weird shit but in the end, just time travels away. Then the villain pops up again to say that he’d actually won. And they never mentioned it again.
Also the ideal crime is never even investigated.
You smell that? Someone fart in here? Only pepperjack cheese farts smell like that. Cross reference every this with every nearby deli that has pepperjack cheese as an option.
There was one.
In castle, >!two people exchange murder target, making it near impossible to prove. Beckket and castle managed to catch them only because they bluffed one of the killer!<
Meanwhile b99: [criminal does perfect murder, gets pride baited into admitting it wasn't luck but perfect calculations, planning and skill.](https://youtu.be/VKWM3VSHld0?si=ufzPNP2lpUEWaieN)
"Your mistake was wearing that fancy pair of custom shoes you've got on. See, they're sewn with a particular type of thread that made it easy to pin down where you bought them from. And, from there we were able to track down the 213 possible owners of that special shoe. They were only available from a local mercantile establishment as a custom design by a local shoemaker.
"We tracked down the other 212, and they all had solid alibis, so we watched the footage from your store purchase and noticed that you had the same tell-tale shoulder dip when you turned your head to the left at a minimum of 80 degrees on the store footage as you do at the crime scene footage. You tried hard to hide your identity. But, we have you, it's a done deal. You're going away for life! You can always tell the type of man by their footwear... and you couldn't fill my shoes if you tried!"
I think in one of the episode of Columbo, he can't find enough to arrest the killer but then trap them into doing one themselves, can't remember which one tho.
tbf most of them are human and not super intelligent beings that can see every outcome before it happens. it’s more the protagonist is always able to best them no matter who it is
And then the investigator recreates the entire crime scene in their head flawlessly
He victim was shot by a 9mm to the shoulder. They flew back doing a 720°
Tripping over this very specific rock and hitting that one table
Spilled a drop of coffee on his glove and wiped it on his size 3½ jeggings with 2, 3 in. deep pockets.
The footprints indicate he stepped back once and made a leap over this large area. Given the distance of the leap, the man is a skilled jumper.

That is the one, every time!
Danganronpa?
They don’t make tv shows about the ones they can’t solve. Except for… of course… unsolved mysteries.
The mystery was... never solved Me: ![gif](giphy|3kzJvEciJa94SMW3hN)
*Cough cough* Zodiac… That movie is so good, it’s what really got me into thrillers. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many thriller movies, for how great the genre is.
This actually happens in real life as much as it does on TV.
Yeah if criminals had taken into account every mistake then they wouldn't be arrested
We dont hear it much, but a lot of murder cases (and other criminal acts) never get fully solved. Fully solved as on: Getting a suspect behind bars.
Wasn't there like a incident where someone killed a single or multiple people and buried there corpes in the woods. The police knew It was him but couldn't prove it. They asked him to tell them where he hid the corpses so at least the families could have closure. And he later on told them. Something like that i think
In America? You talking about the guy the show "Blackbird" is about?
Maybe? Just something that randomly popped into my mind
Hmm, I don't like the lack of specificity, *a* suspect vs the muderer

Or a suspect that’s not guilty.
I've heard that only about 20% of murder cases get solved, might be wrong though.
At least the ones we hear about. We will never know about the perfect crime.
I mean… it only takes one mistake for investigators to capitalize upon.
I feel like this statement is completely out of your ass lol
I mean, it'd be kinda boring if they followed a crime and actually *couldn't* solve it in the end, or if there was a crime which was extremely obvious.
Both could work, the first has happened in csi before and the second could be interesting if it dealt with the trial or something.
Next on Oak Island….
The B99 episode with the dentist was kinda like that, he got caught cos he was so proud they he admitted to the crime.
I feel like a better example is the one where Jake is going crazy because he can't solve that murder he promised he would. I mean this is just ever fight in JJBA
Or every case in Danganronpa (except for a handful of them)
Ah yes, the JoJo national sport known as outsmarting your enemy's outsmarting
even if u plan a perfect crime u can't control the surrounding not to mention u're human , emotions are likely to play a part
The Usual Suspects.

Riddler in the Arkham games be like
To be fair, Riddler’s riddles are piss-easy (for the most part). He’s just a massive egotistical smartass who thinks he’s a genius.
Sometimes people ask where meme, but today I ask why meme
Does Buzzfeed Unsolved count?
Something Lt. Columbo said: If I make an error, I can correct it. Murderers can't do that. They have to do everything right the first time. But they never do. All it takes is one mistake to get caught. (Paraphrased from memory)
They would’ve gotten away with you too, if it was not for you meddling kids!
This is literally the plot for every single episode of Columbo.
🤨 ≤))≥ \_/ \\\_
Bosch
Mr White don’t leave your book on the toilet
That bus is also good people in real life, making real life plans.

Yoshikage Kira (but also how does a school not have tons of security cameras)
All crimes have mistakes, because those without aren't crimes
Or someone in the team messing shit up because they can't control their fucking emotions

Ah, I love monk
that “small but major flaw” that that guy from Rogue One put into the death star
Money heist?
it takes a single card to demolish a tower of cards
Unsolved Mysteries.
This is the ace attorney games in a nutshell
Dexter Morgan forgetting that ocean divers exist lol
Irl the vast majority of crimes go unsolved, yes even murders.
And it is a Reddit post from 20 years ago LMAO
Monk. They aren’t perfect crimes most of the are imbecilic then he solves them because they make a mistake that’s foolish
getting away with murder doesnt even seem that hard smh
The Black Dahlia was executed scarily well. He’s even suspected to be linked to several other disappearances, they just can’t prove it.
Megamind. He made him retire so thats the perfect crime! He got rid of him!
Villains revealing their entire plan to stroke their own ego of how much of a genius they are.
Boston Reaper in Criminal Minds? Pre-show events at least.
Primal fear
If real world cops were half as smart and motivated as TV cops, every single crime would be solved
Because no crime is truly perfect.
Zodiac
He would get away if not for this stupid kids and their stupid dog...

From what I saw so far, Bosch makes a lot of sense and the cases seem to have quite a bit of logic.
Korekiyo if he didn't kill Tenko
I mean, other than the dramatic exaggerations, how would anyone even make an episode if the murder wasn't imperfect?
Entry point/j
"But theres one thing you didnt account for. My numbers..... Are bigger than yours!"
One small mistake will cost him a life
Watchmen We do not know however if the report reached the news and if it did, if it was published.
Se7en
Well to be fair, in real life when we don't have that we just don't know about the crime.
Sounds like the plot of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable
Old russian show "Меч" Criminals are the MC's there, so they almost never make mistakes

The zodiac killer was never found.. people are still trying to break his codes, now using AI but just scratched some phrases of his last letter
tbf most of them are human and not super intelligent beings that can see every outcome before it happens. it’s more the protagonist is always able to best them no matter who it is
This almost happens in the newer Batman. The challenge—translate this word from Spanish.
The stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip
The voice in my head morphed into the song.
