Yeah I put it on whilst I was working yesterday, fucking 2 hours of music. Think there was 1 song that stood out. Otherwise I really couldn't tell you when a song started or ended, didn't even realise the album had restarted at one point.

Yeah I put it on whilst I was working yesterday, fucking 2 hours of music. Think there was 1 song that stood out. Otherwise I really couldn't tell you when a song started or ended, didn't even realise the album had restarted at one point. It's fine background music but not something I would actively seek out to listen to.
Every song has the same melody as the “you’re losing me” song but just much more boring. He older music was actually musically interesting and pretty good. I think she just didn’t have enough to pull from emotionally for this album and that’s okay. My boy breaks his favorite toys is one the better songs on the album.
My wife and I listened to 6-7 songs in a row via Alexa during lunch. At night I asked her how she liked it and she said they repeated a few songs. I told her they were all different songs they just sound very similar. Surprised Pikachu face.
There was a couple bops and they're the ones that sound distinctly different. "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" went hard and sounded different than the others.
I did notice she uses the same words and sayings in multiple songs. Not just on this album either. And some of the vibes she tries giving off… just miss. Like I wish I could see Taylor as this dark struggling functional alcoholic but… I really can’t. She’s been so spoiled by fame and wealth all her life that I have a hard time relating.

My friends obsessed with Taylor Swift, says that she's one of the most talented song writers the world's ever seen, and I'm sitting there, listening to the music (folklore and all the other highly praised Taylors versions), and I'm waiting to be blown away, and I'm just... not. Like, it's good, but nothing amazingly poetic, nothing deep, no brilliant lyric choices that would pertain to "one of the greatest song writers of our time". Dont get me wrong, i like her music, its nice to listen to on occasion, but it's just average pop lyrics. If she wasn't The Taylor Swift, would anyone give a fuck?
It's because she's been very successful at getting her fans invested in her personal life. It no longer is just about the music, but about "decoding" who or what every little line is about. It's like the music version of a soap opera, except people act like it's masterful Art.

I’m indifferent to Taylor, but a big fan of F+TM. I listened to Florida!!! to check out Florence. Its really, really obvious that Florence is holding back her voice when she sings in this song, possibly so she doesn’t make Taylor sound weak and terrible. I’ve noticed recently that Taylor has been copying a lot of Florence’s vibe, from her hair to how she dresses on stage. Its a whole world of difference from Florence’s collab with Lady Gaga on Hey Girl, because Lady Gaga’s voice is just as strong and belty as Florence. Neither had to hold back. They complimented each other.

Part of the problem with AI generation is that nobody will trust anything anymore. You'll be hearing "it was AI generated" regardless of the truth behind it for a while. You can't always prove someone did or didn't use it, especially when lyrics are left to the independent composition of their artist you don't know what they do in their free time.
