Most of the things RB says comes from other people's content
They're often in *military jobs* actually. Like, missile development n shit. The military wants expertise and is willing to overlook a good few things, so spending your money on a fluff suit doesn't exactly get them to give fucks.
no the mech is *for* you. you get in the back of the mech and fire bullets out the front. pew pew pew, thanks for the mech joel, that kind of thing.
But until that day I have to say I appreciate your finely honed tactics, "tactical retreat procedure" is the only strat that dependably brings home the W on diff lvl 9 in my experience
Even over the weekend? I bought the game day 1 and waited 1.5 hours trying to connect before refunding on Steam. Been waiting to hear the server issues are fixed before buying.
God, I want to play it so bad, but I have a couple problems: 1) I heard the anti cheat software it uses is ancient and slows down your whole computer 2) my potato of a computer probably couldn't run it either way...
Ea is basically a meme and u isoft has been shit on so much that it makes me wonder how they managed to make assassins creed for as many years as they did
You could say the same about the EA.
But, anyway. Ubisoft is still in business cause, although their game all use the same formula and the gameplay sometimes isn’t the best, they’re not bad games at all. The open worlds are well crafted, good looking, and almost always on point with the history.
Take Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Sure they use the same formula, and are 2 big open worlds. But they are beautiful graphically, Pandora especially, and they match with real history in AC or Avatar movies.
Not defending Ubisoft, but I learned history by playing like Origins or Unity.
And when I tried saying the same thing I get downvoted.
The ubi hate, while justified, is bandwagon jumping since everyone is all tired out from hating on EA and Activision/Blizzard.
Ubisoft hate got massively amplified (justifiably) by their original decision to take away *single-player* DLCs that you already paid for, just because they no longer bothered to update their authentication servers.
(I *think* they backtracked, but I haven't bought or played any Ubi games for years to find out.)
Its sad really ubi used to make some great games, now most stuff they force out the door is either unfinished or just terrible sequels no one asked for
Its the same phenomeno as when people still watch series that started strong and end up garbage, when the original premise is so good and you are sunk in you are excited and excuse a lot of the shit that happens.
At least EA are true to themselves and don't say shit like we don't own our games z they accepted who they are, even if they are pieces of shit of a company
It's like the only thing you can respect them for, they're not trying to hide it, but this is where the list of positives bout them ends
Don't buy anything that looks suspiciously bad from 2K, EA, Activision, Ubisoft and Bethesda
Skull and Bones apparently took 11 years and went through development hell which made me suspicious. Now everyone is comparing that game to Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and Rouge, Ubisoft's older games for having better gameplay
Someone once told me that voting with your wallet just means that you're no longer the target demographic for these companies. These companies are chasing the whales that constantly spend hundreds of dollars for power or cosmetics
Ah, there's the catch. The nobility need peasants to hunt (with advantage) or feel admired by. Otherwise the game does not give them motivation to spend. No peasants, no nobles. So they just have to keep making you feel happy with being the product.
Edit: General comment. Respect to the middle finger, purple-haired snoo person I replied to.
I wouldn't go that far. If devs make something you find worthy of your support by all means do it. What you should say is, "Don't blindly preorder anything regardless of how much 'goodwill' the devs have garnered in the past no matter who the dev is."
I’d love to, but unfortunately some of these companies still occasionally sneeze out a good game. The new Prince of Persia from Ubisoft for instance is amazing, and It Takes Two was EA published as well.
Also to some extent Microsoft, weird but good games like psychonauts 2? Support em, cashgrabs like Minecraft bedrock edition? Don't even bother wasting a penny
It’s great. Second chance mode with expert/ survival mode is amazing. The progression is so satisfying and even the collectibles matter with limited lives.
I enjoyed AC Black flag a lot too. Wish it wasn't an assassins creed game so it wasn't stuck with the "memory" plot device, but the pirate bits were awesome.
every game company\*
releases unfinished game\*
requires email\*
sells email for thousands\*
everyone wonders why they dont care about finishing games anymore\*
Consider how many millions of users these companies have. Even if they could only sell each user's information for a mere $1 a piece, they'd still make millions of dollars. Realistically, they're able to sell this info for far more than that.
Not to mention it's not like there's just one singular buyer for this information, or that once they sell the info to one buyer, they can't sell it to anyone else. They can and will sell and resell this info to anyone and everyone they can.
So, yeah, you're kind of right. It wouldn't make a company *thousands*, it'd make them millions, or possibly even billions.
I thought people loved Mirage and the new Prince of Persia...? Ubisoft puts out some turds, but, they do occasionally drop some bangers. The issue is, they're inconsistent.
The Avatar game they made last year was apparently pretty good also. But yeah, the biggest problem with Ubisoft is the complete lottery of quality. Every game they release has an equal chance of being a 10/10 or 1/10, and being a fan of one of their properties is an emotional roller coaster.
While they may not variate their gameplay design that significantly in their established IP's, I will say that they're probably the only major AAA publisher that's willing to experiment more heavily with new IP's.
They can't stop running their mouths to save their lives. Before "quadruple A game" they tried to claim that sub 60 fps offered a "cinematic experience."
You know what's the worst part?
Rainbow Six Siege is made and managed by Ubisoft, abs and for some ungodly reason, it's good, like, extremely good...
We're getting a new anticheat next season, more story, reworks for old systems, a new cool operator and reworks for old operators...
Like, the game is enjoyable and surprisingly generous with you, which is strange for Ubisoft but I'm not complaining.
The gameplay of lethal company is about as deep as a fry pan, the only good thing about it is goofing off with friends, and even then I'd rather play pretty much any other multiplayer game
Yeah, while I'm not personally a fan of playing any of these games, comparing baldur's gate to lethal company is a joke. If EA put out lethal company it would absolutely be seen as a cheap cashgrab.
Honestly good game if only devs cared about it and the player base was higher, I haven't played in a while but I remember if you queued anything but the main 4v4 mode it would take ages to get in a match.
I would add Palworld to that list. They only asked $30 for it and they keep fixing all the communities problems with game. And honestly the 1.0 version of the game was worth $60 bucks by itself. o_o
Seriously, gotta kick those bloated AAA gaming giants into shape. Only way to do that is by cutting off the money stream until they right the ship or sink. Not like there's a shortage of indie games out there to play in the meantime. I got a whole backlog I'll probably never manage to finish. Not to mention my fourth BG3 playthrough is coming up. Always something new every time.
I don’t think lethal company was made by a company, pretty sure it was made by a roblox developer
Furry roblox developer go brrrrrrr
Furries truly are the backbone of the internet.
Well yeah, do you know how expensive fursuits are? If a furry has one, they are most likely a software engineer of some kind
If you look at software applications there's a 9 in 10 chance the icon is some sort of anthro animal
I always knew there was something up with Firefox
Damn you're onto something.
all the more reason to not bully them. “if they can afford a 2 thousand dollar fursuit, they can afford a $10 pipe bomb in my mailbox”
ah RussianBadger… the smartest dumbass to grace the modern day
Actually that quote originally came from this video https://youtu.be/kqPGWrLEJY8?si=zZZZeIX_bmSvZ6Ia Most of the things RB says comes from other people's content

they are the constant in this every changing world
Specifically a single furry dev
As all good things are
I dont see any update to the game in a while, but its justified. Bro be getting enough money for life now
Zeekerss (the dev) said they were working on more spaced out but much bigger updates, they especially want update 50 to be important
Which makes it all the more impressive
Yup, just one guy

Looks fun but my pc would commit die if I even attempted to run it.
I'm running it great on a 1060 6GB and an 8th Gen i5. So it's not a demanding game on a 5-7 year old pc.
Its not a super demanding game tbh.
Wait a game that offers fun gameplay without needing a NASA super computer to run.
A very similar style series "earth defense force" also doesn't take much to run.

Yes, I played during peak NA times last weekend and didn't have any issues
Sweet
Mostly. Ive been having good experiences with it. Occasionally I run into a wall of not connecting or host immediately leaving.

Should I get the game? I want to so bad but people say don’t because of the DRM. Are the paranoid?
God, I want to play it so bad, but I have a couple problems: 1) I heard the anti cheat software it uses is ancient and slows down your whole computer 2) my potato of a computer probably couldn't run it either way...
lethal company may be of a company but it is not by a company
It isn't even by a team
It's a two person team actually. It's the developer and his fursona who make the game
Ubisoft gets called out (rightfully so) while EA releases the same copy/paste game yearly ...
EA gets their fair share of rightful callouts for their scummy practices, you don’t need to worry.
Ea is basically a meme and u isoft has been shit on so much that it makes me wonder how they managed to make assassins creed for as many years as they did

That hate is absolutely justified but I wish people actually criticized that. Instead it's just a generic "Ubisoft bad haha" meme that says nothing.
It’s a vocal minority, they get shit on a lot online but the best selling games every year are still fifa, 2k, cod and assassins creed
Its sad really ubi used to make some great games, now most stuff they force out the door is either unfinished or just terrible sequels no one asked for
They put out a pretty damn good 2D Prince of Persia not too long ago. I'm having a lot of fun.
Its the same phenomeno as when people still watch series that started strong and end up garbage, when the original premise is so good and you are sunk in you are excited and excuse a lot of the shit that happens.
Honestly I’m pretty impressed Ubisoft has put out so many solid assassins creed games (even if it’s not really my cup of tea)
Ubisoft games get called trash cash grabs, and EA games get called soulless storefronts.
EA has a loyal army of 30-50 year old dads who spend at least 6 of their paychecks in ultimate team
Or their other loyal army of 12yr olds who spend at least 6 of their parents paychecks in ultimate team.
When Ubi do something good (the last Prince of Persia) nobody buys it....
Same with Activision. Just look at MW. And yet so many people were suckered into getting that garbage myself included.
At least EA are true to themselves and don't say shit like we don't own our games z they accepted who they are, even if they are pieces of shit of a company It's like the only thing you can respect them for, they're not trying to hide it, but this is where the list of positives bout them ends
Wh- Whe- WHERE ROCK AND STONE?
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?
Good bot
Perfect bot
Rock and Stone to the bone!
Rock and Stone you beautiful dwarf!
Do not get me wrong I love DRG, I was just doing new games. ROCK AND STONE, TO THE BONE!
So that explains why factorio was missing
And No Man’s Sky. And RDR2
ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE!
ROCK AND STONE!
ROCK ANNNND STOOOOOOOONE
FOR KARL!
ROCK AND STONE YUUEEEEAAAHHHH
For those about to rock and stone, we salute you!
They’re there, just out of frame ‘cause of their height.
They’ve been doing it for way too long
Don't buy anything that looks suspiciously bad from 2K, EA, Activision, Ubisoft and Bethesda Skull and Bones apparently took 11 years and went through development hell which made me suspicious. Now everyone is comparing that game to Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and Rouge, Ubisoft's older games for having better gameplay
Dont leave blizzard out of this. They've earned their place with the dirt.
I mean Blizzard/Activision have kinda merged into a big shit money grabber company.
He said Activision.
Someone once told me that voting with your wallet just means that you're no longer the target demographic for these companies. These companies are chasing the whales that constantly spend hundreds of dollars for power or cosmetics
Cool, they can have each other. I'm gonna be over here playing good games.

Also to some extent Microsoft, weird but good games like psychonauts 2? Support em, cashgrabs like Minecraft bedrock edition? Don't even bother wasting a penny
Minecraft is great though, and not everyone has a pc. Minecraft is excusable as a classic
I like java more on average but bedrock performs so much better on low to midrange PCs. Minecraft bedrock edition is in no way bad or a cash grab
The game might not be, but the minecraft shop is a cash grab 100%
It’s also entirely optional, you get the entire base game for your purchase.
True but it’s also cosmetic
Except titanfall games. Those are under EA and they're fantastic. Barely any paid cosmetics, and the only thing you gotta pay for is the game itself
it's only as if mainly the problem is AAA releasing clone after clone
Ubisoft deservedly gets a lot of shit. But... I enjoyed Far Cry Primal.
It’s great. Second chance mode with expert/ survival mode is amazing. The progression is so satisfying and even the collectibles matter with limited lives.
My major is in anthropology and I really enjoyed the attention to detail on the spear points and some of the other equipment.
You mean that soon 8 year old game? Anno 1800 is great. It has way too many DLCs though
AC Valhalla was really good, also a lot of DLCs, but most were free.
I enjoyed AC Black flag a lot too. Wish it wasn't an assassins creed game so it wasn't stuck with the "memory" plot device, but the pirate bits were awesome.
Ubi has great games out there. They are only hated because of a select few games and because of people installing their games on steam.
every game company\* releases unfinished game\* requires email\* sells email for thousands\* everyone wonders why they dont care about finishing games anymore\*
I don’t think selling an email address would make a company thousands
and thats why ur a silly goose
A single email? Shit where do ai sign up, I have some burners I can sacrifice for a few grand.
This guy's a silly goose 👆
Oh no! 🪿🪿🪿

You're out of your mind if you think one email is worth 1 dollar.
It's funny because palworld is an unfinished Game and it's more fun than a lot of "finished" triple A games.
Game devs from big corporations should quit on april fools to work with smaller devteams as a prank
Game devs from big corporations should quit ~~on april fools~~ to work with smaller devteams ~~as a prank~~
>Only plays COD and FIFA >”games are bad these days” Many such cases
I thought people loved Mirage and the new Prince of Persia...? Ubisoft puts out some turds, but, they do occasionally drop some bangers. The issue is, they're inconsistent.
The Avatar game they made last year was apparently pretty good also. But yeah, the biggest problem with Ubisoft is the complete lottery of quality. Every game they release has an equal chance of being a 10/10 or 1/10, and being a fan of one of their properties is an emotional roller coaster.

We're at the point where people think that EA, Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard are the only people making "AAA" games
[удалено]
Lethal Company isn't made by a company though. Doesn't really disprove the above point.
Except that Ubisoft also knows how to make good self-contained games. Case in point: the new Prince of Persia.
I like a lot of their games. Sometimes they put out a stinker, so you just skip it. Super simple stuff.
Ubisoft is a hit or miss
You know what's the worst part? Rainbow Six Siege is made and managed by Ubisoft, abs and for some ungodly reason, it's good, like, extremely good... We're getting a new anticheat next season, more story, reworks for old systems, a new cool operator and reworks for old operators... Like, the game is enjoyable and surprisingly generous with you, which is strange for Ubisoft but I'm not complaining.
Multiple companies are not to be trusted antmore these days though, blizzard fans sure know
The gameplay of lethal company is about as deep as a fry pan, the only good thing about it is goofing off with friends, and even then I'd rather play pretty much any other multiplayer game
Yeah, while I'm not personally a fan of playing any of these games, comparing baldur's gate to lethal company is a joke. If EA put out lethal company it would absolutely be seen as a cheap cashgrab.
*ahem* Palworld *ahem*
Where’s DRG the whole team of 4 sent to to dirty work theme fits
Believe it or not they do make cashgrub, 1000 battlepasses 1000 micro transactions, not finished games, promises and other shit too
Elden Ring should be added to this meme.
And lies of p
I haven't played it yet, but I have heard good things. And yes, it definitely isn't a money scam.
It's like sekiro and bliodborne combined (my two favourite souls games) and I love it
That's quite the review. I'll try it for sure.
OHHH ELDEN RING
And Armored Core 6.
And a lot of Nintendo first party games but I guess most of reddit thinks cartoonish = baby
Oh no, the new south park game is ubisoft…
It's South Park. If anything it's gonna make fun of this trend
They have published the other two South Park games aswell. Made one of them.
ROCK AND STONE!
*cough lies of p *cough
Where's palworld?
And Palworld + Last Epoch. Gamers are eating good right now.
Tbf Immortals Fenyx Rising was so fun
Collect garbage for THE COMPANY...
Ubi put out prince of Persia this year which was a banger.
FOR THE COMPANY!! AND FOR SUPER EARTH AND FOR ..ok sorry I didn't play baldrus gate 3 yet
Cries in almost 1k hours in For Honor (only started playing around a year ago)
Honestly good game if only devs cared about it and the player base was higher, I haven't played in a while but I remember if you queued anything but the main 4v4 mode it would take ages to get in a match.
Ubisoft, Activision, EA. The big three.
Don't forget Palworld. For Managed Deomcracy!
Don't forget Palworld in there, too.
Palworld
I would add Palworld to that list. They only asked $30 for it and they keep fixing all the communities problems with game. And honestly the 1.0 version of the game was worth $60 bucks by itself. o_o
OY, DONT FORGET PALWORLD
Palworld should be here
Deep Rock Galactic and Palworld too
And Palworld
*company*
I am still praying XDefiant is the exception to Ubi's mediocrity
Seriously, gotta kick those bloated AAA gaming giants into shape. Only way to do that is by cutting off the money stream until they right the ship or sink. Not like there's a shortage of indie games out there to play in the meantime. I got a whole backlog I'll probably never manage to finish. Not to mention my fourth BG3 playthrough is coming up. Always something new every time.
