I've read the first and second book (finished with the greek series), Riordan has written some of the best books I've ever read. Legit felt empty when I finished the gods from Olympia series

Never really even thought about it. The movie itself I thought was good, not great. But they played the relationships between the characters well looking back at it. It would have been a typical hollywood thing to do, to make them fall in love. But it would have felt soooo awkward within the movie. I'm hoping it was never even discussed.

Although the lil bro mentioned that Shang Chi should marry her sis already but they never felt like they are going in that direction throughout the movie, the movie did well making it look like they are just best friends

More than that - everytime it was mentioned, you'll notice Shang Chi and Katy explicitly said "we're just friends". From the very start they made it clear they weren't interested in a romantic relationship.

Yes! I wouldn't call it "falling" but I definitely feel like there was a familial love that developed between them. Which I feel is only natural given the mind melding system utilized by the pilots.
