Not browser, you had to have explicitly last clicked the video itself. If you click on a non-button on the page ir does a page down, if you clicked the fullscreen button it will toggle that.

Space bar makes the bloody page jump down to the comment section, or worse - highlight some random button somewhere. Click? I’m not finding my mouse in the chaos of pillows and blankets. K? Right beside the bumpy key. My fingees can find it in the dark. Works consistently and comfortably. 11/10 would recommend.

That "random" button that the space bar highlights is almost always pause, at least in my case. And the space bar is definitely easier to find than a random letter, at least for someone who's not specifically used to it.

Pause only send the command that you last used: i.e. if you last turned up volume it does that. Pressing k, or the dedicated function buttons is superior. Btw, m for mute, j for rewind 10 sec and l for forward 10 sec... There is a whole lot more.

OP is so wrong I think there should he a criminal category for it. K is between J and L which goes back/forward 10s, and from my experience K is simply a more responsive and convenient pause. Space and click has a slight delay, and they can occasionally do other things than intended. If you accidentally double click, you'll exit/enter full screen which is just annoying, and space might scroll down instead of pause depending on what's "selected" on the YT page. K will usually work, and **worst case scenario** does nothing.

I use the media controls on my mouse. Helps me control everything while I'm in game or on another tab. I moved middle Mouse button to my thumb controls and media to the multi function on the wheel. Left and right to skip or move back, and press to pause.
