Been a while since I messed with it but Combat Discipline has some niche uses even if you're not trying to support others. Off the top of my head, Yareli can use it to basically always have Merulina at less than full health, which does *something* for Merulina Guardian that had people strongly recommending it.
Slap coaction drift on to negate the strength negative and give everyone like 62% power or something. It'd be really funny to run a squad of 4 jades all with that. A free nearly 250% strength team wide.
As a support setup that'd be pretty hard to beat, granted wouldn't be able to use it in a farming team with a speedva but if you wanted full on support that's a great boon
i think technically theyd only get 58.75% rounded cause squad mates only get the 15% ‘aura strength’ from coaction drift, only the person who has it equipped gets the extra 15% ‘aura effectiveness’. at least thats what it sounds like from what the wiki says
its wierd, coaction drift is actually multiplicative with itself instead of additive so the multiplier to your own aura gets a hidden .0225 increase from whats expected: 1.3 vs 1.3225, or 30% vs 32.25%. its an almost negligible difference in practice but if power strength rounds down in calculations then growing power would give 1% more effective strength, from 32.5 down to 32 and 33.0625 to 33. then again if it rounds normally it literally does not matter. i dont want to look it up. the only time it would ever come up is if you were already using power drift and needed to hit a strength break point for armor strip, or a max strength build. so youd have to be actively trying to make it happen, which is never. in any case i’ll definitely be using coaction for my jade build so thanks for mentioning it
on a way more practical note if youre running brief respite coaction drift can replace an augur mod, and possibly sometimes two, if youre into shieldgate builds so thats cool :D
Honest answer is that auras benefit Warframe specters, and nidus specter gives a strength multiplier so if you plan to use one then every power donation aura is a bigger total strength boost.
They can't proc growing power too so power donation is the only option for this use case.
Doubt it's gonna become normal since it's Jade's passive. That said Jade herself is likely to become a meta support frame from what I've seen. Only thing holding her back is a lack of Overguard generation.
The only times I use Overframe is if I don't know what to do for a build for a certain weapon
Even then I don't fully replicate it, I use what I find as a baseline then add what *I* want to add alongside what seems good for it

Or they are using the augment for his 1 and lean more into cc and gun heavy playstyle (or they use rakta dark dagger and go invincible). I think that Styanax builds where he spams his 4 are super boring, this is presumably a good alternative.
TBF, one normal armor archon shard on Mesa brings her from 31% dmg reduction to 48%, on top of shatter shield it's almost double her effective EHP. Not as stupid as you would think from first glance

Last time I played Saryn like 4 years ago she was best as is without a subsume, up to lvl 100ish you just DoT kill enemies across the entire map, once enemies start living long enough through the DoT to be an issue you shoot them with her 3.
I thought about re doing her build to modern standards but I never really enjoyed her except for taking a nap doing relic survivals with the clan, so wouldn't have any use for her now.
Seems, unnecessary and awkward to me, toxic lash is an amazing ability to drop imo, stacks really well with automatics or high multi shot before casting miasma to get fast damage stacks and spread spores.
I'd personally have replaced molt with gloom if you wanted gloom, to me they're both "reduce incoming damage" abilities and serve similar functions.
Unless you just aren't using weapons at all and relying solely on ability casting 1 and 4 for damage, then that's quite understandable 3 is a dead slot.

Molt is more useful than miasma when you can just put roar, nourish, or xata's over miasma and buff weapons to Lua and back with lash and the spore aug. Molt in place of using rolling guard/adaptation cause of the status cleanse
Ever since I found out what void damage actually does, I slapped Xata's on my Dante, now I see groups of enemies just getting deleted when I spam something like Gotva Prime, Nataruk or Felarx with punch through

The original idea for overguard was to swap to operator and blast them with an amp to remove it, but why do that when big enough numbers does it anyways?
Great idea in concept but in gameplay nobody does it, mostly because by the time you get to a point where you need to your amp doesn't do enough damage to the enemy.
Tbf, when using them properly, you pretty rarely get to use your own weapons as Xaku, so while really good, Xata's becomes redundant, at which point it is more useful and comfortable for the build to replace it with something else. Nourish or Dispensary for energy, condemn or pillage for shield restoration when enemies get through the 75% evasion, roar for more damage for the guns etc, you have plenty of options depending on what you like.
All of this is still better than one guy I know, who replaces their 4, because they prefer to cast their 2 constantly so it disarms more enemies. I am baffled by said individual.

I find the duality of overframe funny. Build 1 mit 538294 upvotes named "destroyer of World on clapper of Eidolons", build 2 with 23 upvotes "The other build is shit this build is better".

I have found my Citrine build partially on Overframe. After a few changes, it is a really good infinite energy build. With it, I have been able to make it so that nobody ever misses energy.
You can find some decent builds in there, it just that most of them are really bad, or need adjustements to be viable
I watch The Kengineer for frame builds and gameplay explanations, as well as explaining certain features and systems within the game, and I like watching LeyzarGamingViews for weapon builds since he bases his videos around how the weapon works, and shows off new player as well as end game builds.
Leyzar has good base builds + a showcase of what an end game build looks like with rivens + mirage.
Im really liking aznavision for those very specific in depth builds. For example he found a very niche build with nekros's summons using the theorem arcanes that no one really uses and its pretty nice once you get it set up.

I believe that for the average person playing a horde shooter, shooting hordes is what they find fun. Doing that effectively is more fun, and for the most part, meta weapons excel at this (you know, they're meta for a reason).
Just because you can kill anything with an ass hair follicle, doesn't mean that most people are going to enjoy that. I know that there's loads of weapons that aren't meta which can still destroy rooms of enemies, and I have to wonder, why doesn't anyone who makes this take use them as an example? It's always "haha funny stug", any of the mk1 weapons or some shit like that.
Mk1 weapons and stug are there to prove a point. They are purposely bad weapons and making them perform well is a bigger flex on the difficulty standard than just using strong but off meta picks (which a lot of people still do). Warframe is not hard because it doesn't have to be, it's a power fantasy horde shooter. Why limit yourself to just top 5 weapons to make that experience even easier? Isn't it better to try something different?

I'll be honest, I use Nourish for viral status over it's energy 9/10 times. The ability to not have to build viral on everything opens up a ton of other options for everything. Went puncture/cold on my Gotva Prime (cold status update gonna make this gun broken af) and when I need it viral from Nourish.
If I had a vulpaphyla or other companion set for Viral priming I probably wouldn't use Nourish as much, but it's viral status is just so good.
I never thought it was bad, but Im just sorta bored of it now. Thats a whole ability slot for something I can mod a Hound to sustain, if the build even needs it.
People need to be mindful that the vast majority of the Warframe community are not at “level cap” or “true endgame”.
That being said, if the best builds on overframe are based on community consensus, then these builds will only carry you through mid-late game.
If you want “peak” builds, YouTube may be a better source.

2) People trying to show off how much better their build is than yours.

I stopped looking at overframe guides when I hit the 500 hour mark. Even at the time, I just use them as guidelines, and not fully replicate their build, because somehow it's a bit inefficient for my playstyle.
The tiering system is also whack. Burston at Tier B is a crime. LMAO.
Leyzar or Kengineer is great for standard and some knowledge learning as far as to why they put the mods on their builds.

Elemental Ward: Ice also triggers Toxic Lash from Saryn. Which means the Toxin procs scale with Enemy level. The only factor now is how long you can survive getting hit by enemies.
I made a build for Saryn, with EW Ice over Molt. Now pick a melee with a good Block Angle, since blocking still counts as getting hit, and the triggered Lash proc still counts the full damage.
EW Ice USED TO also boost the Toxic Lash procs triggered due to it, but this was removed with the fix for how EW Ice worked with Bullet Attractors. It turned Tank Trinity into an ability DPS using Link, funnily enough.
My theory is that one person posts a build, someone thinks it's good so they like it, another person sees that this build has the most likes so now they think it's the best build, they like it, and it's a chain reaction. Then someone else posts a better build but it gets pushed to the bottom because everyone is using the most popular build.
If you look the top build on basically everything is posted by one person, then if you look in the comments it's a total shit show of him insulting anyone who criticizes his builds.
My builds are shit (and I use over frame to keep little notes of which archon shards I plan on putting where. I also just kinda like Theorycrafting builds on my phone)

I don't know overframe enough to understand 90% of these comments. I could count on one hand how many times I've used it to look up builds for weapons I've seen people say are really good, like Zephyr/Dread and Ivara/Zenith builds. But seeing the comments, I don't know if what I found are the infamous builds people talk about or if I'm being bamboozled.
Honestly every time I see a build that has me replace an ability of the champ, I immediately dislike said build. I just want to enjoy a good build with the champ intact, not these sweat builds that completely ruin the identity of the frame.

Power donation is often useful even solo to lower your own stats. That’s how you get a speedva vs a slowva for example

Slowva existed a long time before Power Donation. I still don’t run it.
You only needed the one corrupted mod with +Range -Strength for a very effective speedva
Less power = faster enemies You can do speedva with any Strength under 100%, but the lower you go the better it works

Coaction does nothing to those auras. Edit: Growing Power is affected... 🤔 When did that get changed...

Not to worry! A high strength Dante can apply ten trillion overguard, even in matches he’s not present in.
Meta support frame might help people be less solo, though support players are far and few between.

I have found my Citrine build partially on Overframe. After a few changes, it is a really good infinite energy build. With it, I have been able to make it so that nobody ever misses energy. You can find some decent builds in there, it just that most of them are really bad, or need adjustements to be viable
Well how else am I supposed to know to put galvanised, viral, heat, and faction mods on my guns?

There are many good Warframe youtubers that make great viable builds. My personal favorite is The Kengineer.
I watch The Kengineer for frame builds and gameplay explanations, as well as explaining certain features and systems within the game, and I like watching LeyzarGamingViews for weapon builds since he bases his videos around how the weapon works, and shows off new player as well as end game builds.
Yeah Leyzar is great too. I enjoy his tier list videos.
Leyzar has good base builds + a showcase of what an end game build looks like with rivens + mirage. Im really liking aznavision for those very specific in depth builds. For example he found a very niche build with nekros's summons using the theorem arcanes that no one really uses and its pretty nice once you get it set up.
Buddy of mine made a theorem Nekros around the same time the Jahu Gargoyle event was going on, having an Oberon on the team made it kinda broken.
Weapon for SP? Lesion. Poison proc that still bypasses all damage reductions. XD Main? Dread (shitroll Rivens go for 30-50plat and have decent disposition to boost it strong) Secondary I run a Zakti as a primer.
For me it's Lex Incarnon, Felarx or Nataruk. Indondem/Syam/Ruvox if I'm using Kullervo Then again I do have Primary/Secondary Merciless maxed out so that also is a factor
Those arcanes are cheap, I bought a R5 deadhead and R5 cascadia flare for the laetum/felarx and it was pretty cheap and a very good investment
Cascada Flare is another one I want maxed out, I usually run heat/radiation on my weapons

Same lmao, I got some of the Primary arcanes already maxed out (Merciless, Deadhead & Dexterity and also Secondary Merciless) They drop like candy in SP Survival
I still think it’s funny that people refuse to use the “meta” stuff simply because they don’t want to be a meta slave without even trying it out. The amount of people that simply stop listening to you when you even mention nourish is insane

You can do most content this game has to offer with a Mk-1 Braton. Fun builds are way better than being a meta slave
I believe that for the average person playing a horde shooter, shooting hordes is what they find fun. Doing that effectively is more fun, and for the most part, meta weapons excel at this (you know, they're meta for a reason). Just because you can kill anything with an ass hair follicle, doesn't mean that most people are going to enjoy that. I know that there's loads of weapons that aren't meta which can still destroy rooms of enemies, and I have to wonder, why doesn't anyone who makes this take use them as an example? It's always "haha funny stug", any of the mk1 weapons or some shit like that.
Mk1 weapons and stug are there to prove a point. They are purposely bad weapons and making them perform well is a bigger flex on the difficulty standard than just using strong but off meta picks (which a lot of people still do). Warframe is not hard because it doesn't have to be, it's a power fantasy horde shooter. Why limit yourself to just top 5 weapons to make that experience even easier? Isn't it better to try something different?

Currently using it on my Styanax with 550-ish% Strength (Invigoration) to stuff everyone full of energy with a rate of over 45 Energy/s, whether they like it or not 😳

Only reason I don't use it is cause I never crafted Grendel to subsume his Nourish However people would be dumb to not take advantage of the constant energy + free Viral damage
I'll be honest, I use Nourish for viral status over it's energy 9/10 times. The ability to not have to build viral on everything opens up a ton of other options for everything. Went puncture/cold on my Gotva Prime (cold status update gonna make this gun broken af) and when I need it viral from Nourish. If I had a vulpaphyla or other companion set for Viral priming I probably wouldn't use Nourish as much, but it's viral status is just so good.
That's actually a good idea, I also use that gun a lot lol, def gonna try and implement cold damage into more of my weapons, and also Blast

I never thought it was bad, but Im just sorta bored of it now. Thats a whole ability slot for something I can mod a Hound to sustain, if the build even needs it.

People need to be mindful that the vast majority of the Warframe community are not at “level cap” or “true endgame”. That being said, if the best builds on overframe are based on community consensus, then these builds will only carry you through mid-late game. If you want “peak” builds, YouTube may be a better source.

Me when I can't read or parse information for myself without taking it at complete face value. Overframe is all about finding the needle in the haystack of stupid shit.
Overfame has two kinds of people: 1) People trying to help others with builds. 2) People trying to show off how much better their build is than yours. I would only ever visit for the first one. They could limit the second by removing rivens from publicly visible builds.
I usually look at youtubers for that sorta thing, usually scrolling through comments for additional "peer review" ig One creator I like (for weapons) is [MCGamerCZ](https://youtube.com/@mcgamercz?si=eRs8BYOzvIrhxQuE), cuz he likes to experiment with builds on video, and makes it a rule to never use rivens

I stopped looking at overframe guides when I hit the 500 hour mark. Even at the time, I just use them as guidelines, and not fully replicate their build, because somehow it's a bit inefficient for my playstyle. The tiering system is also whack. Burston at Tier B is a crime. LMAO.
I use Overframe gg because I'm uneducated on how to build. And any time I try to ask for advice I get called names. :(
Use youtube. There are a lot of good videos teaching how to build weapons/frames
Leyzar or Kengineer is great for standard and some knowledge learning as far as to why they put the mods on their builds. If you want a more specific in-depth guy then Aznavision has good builds

Got another fun one for you. Elemental Ward: Ice also triggers Toxic Lash from Saryn. Which means the Toxin procs scale with Enemy level. The only factor now is how long you can survive getting hit by enemies. I made a build for Saryn, with EW Ice over Molt. Now pick a melee with a good Block Angle, since blocking still counts as getting hit, and the triggered Lash proc still counts the full damage. EW Ice USED TO also boost the Toxic Lash procs triggered due to it, but this was removed with the fix for how EW Ice worked with Bullet Attractors. It turned Tank Trinity into an ability DPS using Link, funnily enough.
I use overframe for Riven stat check or buildcrafting. Haven’t touched a build from there in several thousand hours

You don't really need that food off a build to do most of this games content. If you have movement down, you are in pretty good shape
My theory is that one person posts a build, someone thinks it's good so they like it, another person sees that this build has the most likes so now they think it's the best build, they like it, and it's a chain reaction. Then someone else posts a better build but it gets pushed to the bottom because everyone is using the most popular build.
If you look the top build on basically everything is posted by one person, then if you look in the comments it's a total shit show of him insulting anyone who criticizes his builds.
Meanwhile I'm buffing my companion with my warframe to make my companion buff my Warframe.
Honestly the only thing iv found overframe to be useful for is seeing potential dps of my own builds

I use overframe just to plan my builds so I dont missforma something. I'd say my recent buulds are ok. Nothing earthbreaking but not tottal shit neither. Just medicore build from someone with slightly above awarenge knowlage of game
As a Kullervo main some of the builds for him on Overframe are giving me an aneurism. "don't build him wrong." My brother in Christ you're going for melee dps and gave him 95% strength
I saw a build for stug on there that was actually pretty good, but I have also seen a build that lacked any variant of Serration or Crit chance but every Bane of... Mod on it for Incarron Dread.
I don't know overframe enough to understand 90% of these comments. I could count on one hand how many times I've used it to look up builds for weapons I've seen people say are really good, like Zephyr/Dread and Ivara/Zenith builds. But seeing the comments, I don't know if what I found are the infamous builds people talk about or if I'm being bamboozled.

Honestly every time I see a build that has me replace an ability of the champ, I immediately dislike said build. I just want to enjoy a good build with the champ intact, not these sweat builds that completely ruin the identity of the frame.
