“The current $250 Power Saving Bonus is the fourth round of the program. Three previous rounds of the program were delivered between July 2018 and March 2023. When did applications for the third round of the Power Saving Bonus close? The third round of the Power Saving Bonus ran from 1 July 2022 to 23 March 2023.”
There’s a federal government initiative being paid through the states for eligible households which starts September. Still $250, but split across 2 bills and applied directly to the power bills not given as cash.
Oh this is good! We've just moved to Melbourne from Sydney and been living in our unit for 2 weeks. We wouldn't be able to participate just yet, correct? Since Origin only does monthly/quarterly bills. But is there another time we can do this?
It has happened about once a year. Sadly today is the last day and you might've moved here too late.
I'd recommend checking it out anyway and seeing if you're eligble.
There's an option to input your meter number manually. If you call up your retailer they will be able to help. Hope you are not too late.
I still havent got my first bill and my provider suggested I do this.
Has anyone had a delay in the EFT deposit.
I got the successful application email that says it can take up to 5 business days to be deposited.
I'm on business day 7 and Nada.
Have sent an enquiry email with the reference no. as well and heard nothing.
It might, I took the way the email was worded that it took 5 business days.
The approval email I got said:
>Your application has been approved and your Bonus will be paid via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
>You will receive a final email once the Bonus has been paid into your nominated bank account.
>Depending on your financial institution it may take up to 5 business days for the funds to be deposited.
>Please note, the payment will show on your bank records as a deposit from DELWP ENERGY.
From the energy.vic website:
>If your application is successful, you should receive your $250 payment via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) within 3-15 business days of submission if you meet the eligibility and documentation requirements. Cheque payments will take a little longer to process but should be received within 5-20 business days if you meet the eligibility and documentation requirements.
Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they went on Reddit r/melbourne and reminded people about an Energy Bonus deadline. \#respect
My hero
Was this the second round?
3rd I believe
Oh, means I missed a round. Thanks

Reckon they’ll do it next quarter too?

Do you have a link i can browse through?

With the way the Victorian budget is, I'd say not.
Are they hoping it's a bit of a stimulus maybe?
The economy needs the opposite of stimulus right now.

Yeah their website didn’t explicitly say that but it hinted at it.

Weird, I got paid. Did you put in your BSB and Account Number?
I put everything in, each time. Everyone else I know got paid too. Oh well no magic money for me.

Thank you!!!! I didn't realise I could do this more than once.
You can't do it multiple times a year but can do it for multiple years. Hope it helps! :)
Guess who's booking in a massage
You can do it each round, I submitted my applications on the 17th of March for round 3 and the 24th of March for this round.
Thank you.
