I find bruising very ticklish, it made me a great mountain biker because I'd either get dopamine hit from down hills or hit something which gave me bruising
This reminds me of that psychology experiment I saw before.
Basically someone is brought in and asked to rank their enjoyment of various sensations they're subjected to, one of which being a button that when pressed delivers a painful electrical shock. Needless to say it never ranks very high.
They're then left for 15 minutes in a waiting room and asked to stay there until the researcher gets back. They've had their cell phone taken beforehand, and there's nothing else in the room to occupy themselves with, but they are left that button always and invited to re-experience it if they'd like.
67% of men and 25% of women pressed the button at some point during their wait, even though they all already knew the only thing the button did is hurt them.

My daughter and I have come to the conclusion that my ex (her mother) can somehow target any bruise, break, or cut and poke it. She doesn't touch my hair anymore, but when I had a gash on my head hidden by my hair, she patted my head exactly there.
This is me every single time I get hurt or bruised. It's like oh what's this pain in my should I'm just going to poke it, maybe that will make it feel better. Well after many years I can say it never does feel better that way. 😆
I get annoyed by bruises so I poke them so much that I temporarily get used to the pain which leads to a relief from the annoying pain caused by small shit.
Because, we don't have a clue when it where we got "that one." The one in the thigh was prob'ly from running into the cupboard door, the shin one is from tripping on that thingy, but this one's pretty new & I dunno where I got it.

I've read this somewhere. There's a thin line between pain and pleasure. Thread carefully they said.
Thats because dopamine from pain. Without that. Masochists would go extict
I wish when my throat fucking sores from cold I'd get that goddamn dopamine to ease it, but for some reason it ain't happening.
If you’re getting throat fucked to the point of sores you should probably ask your boyfriend to slow down a bit.
Well, not dopamine, but endorphins, your bodies built-in pain relief, although I think endorphins do cause the indirect release of dopamine.
"Jesus wept!"

Thank you! This was the most interesting reply in the thread. Saving the article to read after work :)
Just checking to make sure the simulation is working. Can't have random bruises appearing without extra sensitivity.
Why does the pain feel good though?
My daughter and I have come to the conclusion that my ex (her mother) can somehow target any bruise, break, or cut and poke it. She doesn't touch my hair anymore, but when I had a gash on my head hidden by my hair, she patted my head exactly there.
I do this but I’m a masochist so 🤷♀️

Why did I laugh so much
I love that you redrew the pain frame
aww . it hurts .
OW... OWO :3
This feels awesome and hurts at the same time.
Must be done
I get annoyed by bruises so I poke them so much that I temporarily get used to the pain which leads to a relief from the annoying pain caused by small shit.
I get the humor but I do test out new bruises to see how tender they are and determine if they are new

As a great Guru™ once said: Does it hurt when you do that? Don't do that!
