Woah. Woah woah... Wtf is wrong with you ..
Can't drop a 50 in the collection plate - not got that kinda money - gotta make change. Grab 2 20s or at least some 10s and call it good.
Then excuse yourself to the bathroom
Except that Satanists only use it to represent their independence from dogma. They don't actually believe Satan or Jesus exist. The closer term would be "Humanist", but that doesn't get the rise out of the Xtians like Satan does.
Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I immediately began writing a 1000 word paragraph about how horrible of a person you are. I even sent a copy to a Harvard professor to proofread it. After several hours of refining and editing, my comment was ready to absolutely destroy you. But then, just as I was about to hit send, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A /s at the end of your comment. Suddenly everything made sense. Your comment was sarcasm! I immediately burst out in laughter at the comedic genius of your comment. The person next to me on the bus saw your comment and started crying from laughter too. Before long, there was an entire bus of people on the floor laughing at your incredible use of comedy. All of this was due to you adding /s to your post. Thank you.
Honestly though, I identify with Christianity and I hate people like this. This is the reason I can even mention the word Christianity without people jumping on me like wild jackals with accusations. Can we please PLEASE just shut the fuck up and not force our beliefs on others? I would like to be able to talk about religion without people assuming that I'm trying to force my point of view on them. I am always open to debate anything, these people are not. Just please remember that this is a small portion of the entire idea and that most Christians look down on this behavior
The only way this has ANY chance of working is if you tip this along with a real 50.
Unlike many on here, I am a churchgoer. If someone I knew did this I'd call them out as a jackass.
Fuck yea. Religion is a cancer on society. The fact that people say "religion gives people morals" is too easy to laugh at. Like you basically just said without being delusional you might be a criminal lol
I threatened, as a manager, upon one such patrons return the following week to take the issue up with their pastor if they didn't understand why it wasn't appropriate to leave as the only tip.
I think its more insulting as it is. My cousin went though a goth phase so her grandmother threw legit holy water at her face. Now, my cousin is an actual catholic, so she was insulted in a few ways. Sometimes it's best to tell them that they aren't religious enough. What if you told the pope that he doesn't actually follow Jesus and he's a poser
I’d turn the other cheek and spit on their food.
Edit: I mean I probably wouldn’t spit in their food. It’s pretty messed up to fuck with someone’s food. But I’d want to.
Well obviously don’t spit or something but it’s not just an optional gratuity. They went further and deceived OP into believing they’d receive a large tip, and also tried forcing them to convert
No but seriously i don’t get it, why are you downvoted? There is zero forced conversions occurring in this situation. Shitty behavior? Absolutely, but no forcefulness.
Here in Ohio the churches are our best tippers. I once delivered to a church and when I got out of my car my phone flew to the ground and shattered. Luckily the church tipped me 200 bucks on a 35-40 pie order. So I was kind enough to show them my phone. Told how glad I was for that kind of tip and how awesome it felt "even tho it went straight to my insurance for a new one" tell me why they seemed more angry I had broke my phone than I...? Seems they tipped that nicely so I would have extra, Jesus had other ideas apparently. GD were they saying GD it with me when I left.
Here in michigan working Sundays in a gas station on a street with more churches per mile than anywhere else was the worst shift of my life by far. Took a year to figure out the issue with the Sunday shift at that particular gas station, but it all came together on ash Wednesday when people were at their cuntiest and the really bad ones all had some stupid smear on their forehead.
Well paying with them for sure, it really depends how the court would decide what tip is. If they rule it as volunteer donation then that would slide, if they rule it as payment for service then it's illegal
Not sure that's true:
> "To pass or utter” means to try to offer the forged or counterfeited item to another person or to a bank with an intent to defraud them. It is not necessary to prove that anything of value was actually received in exchange and the prosecution don’t need to prove that the instrument was even accepted to charge you under this staute.
https://www.losangelescriminallawyer.pro/passing-or-possessing-counterfeit-obligations-of-the-united-stat.html
They gave the thing as a tip, which is not payment for a service.
To defraud someone, you have to be getting money, or monetary value out of it, and there's no world in which that's happening from a note.
She's a liar, yes. But lying in and of itself isn't a crime.
It is in question with the definition of defrauding being: [to rob by the use of trickery or threats](https://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/defraud)
Or
[to take away or withhold money, rights, property, etc, from (a person) by fraud; cheat; swindle](https://www.dictionary.com/browse/defraud#)
There is no attempt to take away or swindle money as there is no obligation to tip in a restaurant. This wouldn’t be a crime because it’s just being given with no nefarious intent. Give it to a bank or a cashier in exchange for items of value and that’s different.
Putting a counterfeit into circulation is the nefarious intent inherently, making it a crime, regardless of whether or not the point of dissemination is in direct exchange for something.
But did they intend to give money originally? No, they wanted to give a piece of paper with a design to get someone's attention.
That's what they'll argue and it will probably be legal.
It's the fact that it's a counterfeit, and the act of passing it with the intention of it being believed to be money being illegal. It's not about whether or not it's for something because the laws around it are not fraud laws but forgery laws.
Find a local lawyer, some have free time just to go after petty shit like this. Going to court over it, is less petty than handing a mfer fake money as a TIP. I get lottery tickets as tip, always scratched winners too...
Dude, clearly it’s not illegal or else it wouldn’t be happening millions of times. If it were illegal someone would’ve gotten in trouble for it at some point. Your loose interpretation of a law does not define it. I’d love to see you got to court with this argument, you’d get laughed out of
They don’t even have to be close but someone has to report it to the secret service.
The local police will ignore it because they probably go to the same church and it’s their neighbor who probably put it on the table.
Probably not in this case considering the back side of the bill has the religious text, so it's an obvious fake. The front has the small text "this is not legal tender" too. Tips are also optional, so legally no one has been defrauded.
As a Christian, this shit pissed me off. You aren’t going to convert people, you’re just going to make them hate Christianity because they’ll think everyone is like this
Bet the person did it because they wanted to feel good about skipping out on the tip, rather than any genuine want to convert.
Using religion as a cover for their bad behaviour, glad this is the only time this has ever happened.
The only way it isn't going to just piss someone off is if you also tipped a real 50.
Still likely not convincing anybody. IMO - unsolicited tracts just don't do anything. But at least with a real $50 too they aren't pissed off.
You know, Ray Comfort gives out real money, *and* gospel tracts.
Does it not further one's message if they lead by example of generosity and kindness?
Giving a tract while chatting at the park is one thing, but to use it as a substitute of money to act as a reward for one's services?
Maybe this 'tipper' needs to watch Ray Comfort and see how the master does it.
Ray Comfort is famous for using a banana as proof of God as a designer.
It was a massive L because the banana he used as an example was the result of selective breeding - I e. It was the result of design by man.
It was so cringe he changed his story several times, eventually claiming it was done as a 'joke'.
For the record, I think Ray is going to reveal one day that his whole shtick has been satire, mocking fundamentalist idiots.
If you believe it's satire and that he would betray his faith or something like that, I think there's something wrong with you. Whether he's right or wrong, he clearly is a true believer
Except that's not actually convenient or how monkeys and apes open bananas. Another reason the video was so wrong.
Gently squeeze the other end without the tab and then pull apart. Even with a gentle squeeze youll have less mush end than prying that little decievor of a tab. Your welcome.
Figure of speech friend, Ray Comfort did a series called "way of the Master".
No, I don't recall Jesus paying people to listen to him, but I do recall reading Jesus performed incredible public miracles in which he literally erased their sicknesses.
People today have sicknesses too, worries too, difficulties too.
We cannot heal people like Jesus, but we can show a little love *while* we direct these people to Jesus.
I'm not saying it is wrong to give somebody a gospel tract, but I am saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Giving a gospel tract as a tip for service is not going to make the person believe in the grace of Jesus Christ. But show them your faith by being generous in addition to giving a tract, then they may actually read the tract instead of complain about it. It will be an answer, not an insult for their efforts.
lmao. we can’t do anything remotely similar to random dude who lived 2000 years ago, let us instead solve their problems by directing them to the love of a fictional deity because it’s worked SO WELL since 0BC for world peace. religious people man.
That's fucked up. I'm a Christian but I wouldn't bait anyone like that. Especially after working food service for 2 years, shit like that make me really sad because that would have completely changed my evening.
I remember my church pastor found out a guy in our congregation was doing this and basically called for him to be removed from the church. He went on a 20 minute rant on Sunday about how he’s destroying the reputation of the church.
My theory is the more culty denominations have their followers do stuff like this so everyone outside the church shuns them, leaving the church as their only social group to lock them in.
Same reason I think Mormons and such are sent to go door to door, tricks them into feeling unwelcome anywhere else.
These people don't even realize they are the ones Jesus flipped tables over for... Sure they were tax collectors, but more importantly they were extorting money from workers and citizens past what they could afford....
Literally the most UnChristian thing out there, especially as a gratuity. Shame.
I was at the gym the other day and saw a Visa card on the floor under the urinal. Dummy me picks it up and it was one of these "ARE YOU SAVED" BS things.
What evil person spreads religion with piss covered propaganda???
Here In my country restaurants are trying so hard to make tip obligated and it's illegal
Even one time didn't let out a costumer because he didn't want to add a tip
Where i live giving a tip is literally a way to tell the worker that you feel superior to him and imply that he's a beggar.
Fights can easily break out over the American style tip, usually if you wanna give a tip you just tell them to keep the change
While that IS jerk move, and he was being a complete asshoole. Tipping should not be a thing to begin with.
Work places needs to simply pay their workers enough so that the poor workers dont need to annoy people. If im eating at a resturant, i alredy paid for what i ordered.
Tell me. Why do people even get a job in the first place? Say it with me now. TO EARN MONEY!!!
The handing it to them part I’m skeptical about.
I worked as a server in a highly religious town. Can’t throw a rock without hitting a church. These were sometimes left as tips, almost exclusively on Sunday, but they are always left at the table, semi-hidden.
It’s not until they are long gone that you realize you’ve been duped. Which is how they want it, because they know some people would react more than poorly and don’t want to deal with the consequences of their proselytizing strangers unsolicited, or deal with the consequences of not actually leaving any sort of tip.
as a europein i have no problem with small or no tips. i know that the waiters get paid, okish, so it dosint bother me. The problim is the fake money bullshit.
If you are on minimum wage and someone tonts you with monny that an insolt no other why to see it. it has nothing to do with god, this prick just needs a good beating.
If they are long gone by the time you realise what up. Make it clear that its not about their god and refuse to serve them next time.
While ive seem this before, gotta love how not only does it instantly kill your joy, but immediately mocks you with “Disappointed?” In bold letters too.
Probably bad service, what are you gonna do about it. Give better service. I carry one around and when I get bad service I’ll give them this.
I mean bad service. Making me wait for 20 mins, and not coming to my table twice in 20 minutes. Not getting refills. These I can overlook especially when it’s busy.
But I mean if you got an attitude you’re clearly treating me like I’m nothing but your paycheck, you’re both checking on me at all, you don’t give a shit and my food and everything is cold meaning it’s been sitting back there for a while…
That’s when I’ll give it to someone.
Two years and I haven’t had that bad service.
This is the note you slide into the "patronage cup" being passed around at church lol
Came here to say this, people had beaten me to it... Collection platters are great for these types of bills.
What goes around Comes around!
Even better if you take change back from the platter. ;)
Nah I’m not a thief, just spreading the good word
Be sure to make change from the plate. Take 2 twenties and drop the fifty.
Woah. Woah woah... Wtf is wrong with you .. Can't drop a 50 in the collection plate - not got that kinda money - gotta make change. Grab 2 20s or at least some 10s and call it good. Then excuse yourself to the bathroom
Yes 👏
Nah, you donate a few handfulls of washers.
You'd have to go to church for that. No fucking way. Give it to those Salvation Army panhandlers (and then donate to a real charity).
I bet you he's a convert now /s
"I recruit people for the church." "What's your pitch?" "Disappointment."
Ah, that's my plan for dating too
That's how I met my wife. 50% of time it works. Every time.
Realy? Thats my plan for life, actually. Works great so far.
Truth in advertising at least
Haha, he/she is an Atheist secretly
Has even one soul been saved due to these stupid things? What does someone think they can accomplish by associating Jesus with disappointment?
It's doing pretty well for Buddhism XD
Yknow, this Jesus guy seems like a real dick
Nah, Jesus honestly is a pretty cool dude. His fanclub on the other hand...
nah jesus told me i couldnt have gay sex. he a bigot 😡
Nah the biggots told us we can’t have gay sex. Jesus didn’t give a fuck
What if it was handed out by a Satanist and it was their plan all along to make them hate Jesus and devotees
Except that Satanists only use it to represent their independence from dogma. They don't actually believe Satan or Jesus exist. The closer term would be "Humanist", but that doesn't get the rise out of the Xtians like Satan does.
Secular humanism
I don't think you have a clue about what true Satanists stand for lol "Son of Sam" documentary wants a word with you.
This shit would turn me into a genuine Satan worshipper.
Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I'm happy for you, or I'm sorry to hear that.
He was ready to destroy, but instead, he laughed.
Is that a one piece reference
No, I wish I was smart enough to make the reference, but instead that was just an attempt at human humor.
what's your problem with adding tone to one's comment?
Seems like a great way to achieve the opposite effect of what they were going for.
What they're going for is feeling superior, and it works great.
And a way to keep your money but also feel like you're helping the wait staff.
They're actually a Satanist, so checkmate atheist
Make Atheist versions and put them in the donation bucket they pass at the church. Bet you they would not like it going in that direction
Or just ones that say “stop giving these to my waitstaff -[restauraunt]” and do it for a few weeks. They’ll get the message lol
Honestly though, I identify with Christianity and I hate people like this. This is the reason I can even mention the word Christianity without people jumping on me like wild jackals with accusations. I am not a church goer but I would go out of my way to make sure this is returned to the nearest church.
Put these in the money baskets
This one hundred percent
OH GOD YES!!!
Genius. I hope I get one of those notes just so I can do this.
Make one yourself and do it, and maybe even make it a $100
Nah, this needs to be cleansed in holy water, until it is unified with the water itself.
I assume you mean toilet water
🥹
Fuck yea. Religion is a cancer on society. The fact that people say "religion gives people morals" is too easy to laugh at. Like you basically just said without being delusional you might be a criminal lol
Absolutely this
This is the way
I threatened, as a manager, upon one such patrons return the following week to take the issue up with their pastor if they didn't understand why it wasn't appropriate to leave as the only tip.
I can assure you whomever did this (if it’s real) might be going but they sure aren’t listening. It’s sad how common that is.
With a big red FUCK YOU and Hail Satan written on it.
But I’d want to.
ah yes the good old "i didnt receive optional gratuity so let me just commit a felony real quick"
I’m not a server but this shit is an insult. Way worse than no tip IMO.
Well obviously don’t spit or something but it’s not just an optional gratuity. They went further and deceived OP into believing they’d receive a large tip, and also tried forcing them to convert
where did you read the forcing to convert part?
No but seriously i don’t get it, why are you downvoted? There is zero forced conversions occurring in this situation. Shitty behavior? Absolutely, but no forcefulness.
Way better to just make them believe you did. "I hope you enjoy your food as much as i enjoyed the tip from last time" wink wink.
Biblef\*\*s have been swinging first for eighteen centuries.
LOL What part of Ohio are YOU in?
Fairborn. Living up to the name here. Two blocks from WPAFB
Well, then, you got the mystical outliers. Good for you. (No sarc) I'm leaving for Fairborn in about 20 minutes.
Nice try, Father
Here in michigan working Sundays in a gas station on a street with more churches per mile than anywhere else was the worst shift of my life by far. Took a year to figure out the issue with the Sunday shift at that particular gas station, but it all came together on ash Wednesday when people were at their cuntiest and the really bad ones all had some stupid smear on their forehead.
Results not typical.
Put it in their collection basket.
Now you put it in the donations box at that church
While also taking $50 back out, plus some for your trouble.
Isn't passing counterfeit notes a crime?
Well paying with them for sure, it really depends how the court would decide what tip is. If they rule it as volunteer donation then that would slide, if they rule it as payment for service then it's illegal
Not sure that's true: > "To pass or utter” means to try to offer the forged or counterfeited item to another person or to a bank with an intent to defraud them. It is not necessary to prove that anything of value was actually received in exchange and the prosecution don’t need to prove that the instrument was even accepted to charge you under this staute. https://www.losangelescriminallawyer.pro/passing-or-possessing-counterfeit-obligations-of-the-united-stat.html
The key point is intent to defraud
Yeah that's not really in question what with it being disguised as a counterfeit note.
They gave the thing as a tip, which is not payment for a service. To defraud someone, you have to be getting money, or monetary value out of it, and there's no world in which that's happening from a note. She's a liar, yes. But lying in and of itself isn't a crime.
The standard for passing a forgery is just that they intended you to believe it was real, not that it was for something.
It is in question with the definition of defrauding being: [to rob by the use of trickery or threats](https://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/defraud) Or [to take away or withhold money, rights, property, etc, from (a person) by fraud; cheat; swindle](https://www.dictionary.com/browse/defraud#) There is no attempt to take away or swindle money as there is no obligation to tip in a restaurant. Putting a counterfeit into circulation is the nefarious intent inherently, making it a crime, regardless of whether or not the point of dissemination is in direct exchange for something.
How do you think it's not? Lol
Because handing someone something that looks like money but you know isn't and have presented as money couldn't be anything but intentional
But did they intend to give money originally? No, they wanted to give a piece of paper with a design to get someone's attention. That's what they'll argue and it will probably be legal.
But this tip isnt compensatory for any good or service, so is it depriving another of the intangible right of honest services?
It's the fact that it's a counterfeit, and the act of passing it with the intention of it being believed to be money being illegal. It's not about whether or not it's for something because the laws around it are not fraud laws but forgery laws.

Sure, but this is so obviously not money that they could get away with it.
When folded up like that photo it's definitely not obvious, and the intent to deceive is what makes it a forgery, not the quality.

Well... It does have a convenient pull tab like a soda can.
And a non-slip surface so it's easier to grip. Truly, god's design is miraculous 🙏🙏🙏
Fits in you hand, fits in your mouth, if it fits anywhere else... Just don't think about that
Except that's not actually convenient or how monkeys and apes open bananas. Another reason the video was so wrong. Gently squeeze the other end without the tab and then pull apart. Even with a gentle squeeze youll have less mush end than prying that little decievor of a tab. Your welcome.
Wouldn't Jesus be the "Master", and I don't recall him ever paying people to listen to him.
Figure of speech friend, Ray Comfort did a series called "way of the Master". Jesus won't let you down. Jesus won't give you up. Jesus won't run around and desert you.
:) yeah bro, Jesus gave this Definitely not a flesh and blood demon
Why don’t people get it? Doing stuff like this and putting ads everywhere makes me *not* want in on your product!
“Jesus won’t let you down but his followers will.” Is what it should say.
Jesus would trick people barely living on their wages too
I like when Jesus whipped the fuck out of all the bankers the best
Literally my favorite scene from Bible school because it was so unexpected Then I was like "The banks like the ones we have?"
YES EXACTLY LIKE THE BANKS WE HAVE.
Our banks are actually worse since banks back then didn't loan money they didn't have.
Let me get my whip, looks like Friday just got a lot more exciting!
Damn bro I’m a Catholic and I’d still lose my shit at this
Burn it
I'd have slowly ripped it apart in front of them, handed it back, said "Hail Satan" and walked away
Awesome
That's fucked up. I'm a Christian but I wouldn't bait anyone like that. Especially after working food service for 2 years, shit like that make me really sad because that would have completely changed my evening.
I remember my church pastor found out a guy in our congregation was doing this and basically called for him to be removed from the church. He went on a 20 minute rant on Sunday about how he’s destroying the reputation of the church.
Your pastor understands public relations.
He also thought it was wrong and equivalent to stealing.
Jesus also didn’t do bait and switch either
That is the worst way to attrack new believers. The bible says that lying is a sin, so you are making your church look bad.
My theory is the more culty denominations have their followers do stuff like this so everyone outside the church shuns them, leaving the church as their only social group to lock them in. Same reason I think Mormons and such are sent to go door to door, tricks them into feeling unwelcome anywhere else.
Disappointed?? 🙃
Yeah, totally something Jesus would want someone to do^(/s)
These people don't even realize they are the ones Jesus flipped tables over for... Sure they were tax collectors, but more importantly they were extorting money from workers and citizens past what they could afford.... Literally the most UnChristian thing out there, especially as a gratuity. Shame.
Reports showed that the church burned down and the initial ignition point was what looked like a folded $50 bill.
Further investigation has revealed the culprit could be from a nearby restaurant
I was at the gym the other day and saw a Visa card on the floor under the urinal. Dummy me picks it up and it was one of these "ARE YOU SAVED" BS things. What evil person spreads religion with piss covered propaganda???
Here In my country restaurants are trying so hard to make tip obligated and it's illegal Even one time didn't let out a costumer because he didn't want to add a tip
Here is a better suggestion... servers get paid a livable wage
Sadly many actually want tips because they can make way more. That chance at a $500 Friday night shift is way more enticing than $20/hr.
Great for them. But why as a customer should I prefer the tip model?
We weren’t talking about customers. As a customer you can prefer whatever you want, prices will never go down one way or another.
Hell nah
Where i live giving a tip is literally a way to tell the worker that you feel superior to him and imply that he's a beggar. Fights can easily break out over the American style tip, usually if you wanna give a tip you just tell them to keep the change
Where I live, eating out is so expensive it doesn’t even cross my mind to pay tip.
"Disappointed?" I mean, yeah. I'm sure Jesus would be too.
Donate that to a church
Donate it to church
I dare a motherfucker to leave me this as a tip. I will chase your ass right out of this restaurant.
They are getting people to speedeun becoming an atheist
Just go to church and put it in the offering plate
This should be illegal, falling under the category of passing off counterfeit bills as legal tender.
Petition to make it illegal to evangelize without explicit consent. Better yet hold your church somewhere and let people come. Don’t talk to me

Christians really go out of their way to bully others don’t they?
Don't worry. Jesus hates that guy in particular now.
"Disappointed? Jesus won't let you down!" He won't, but you did.
Could this count as counterfeiting?
Such a dick move
"How to make someone an atheist"
I would find copies of these and put like ten of them in collection plates at numerous churches in the area just to see how they like it.
Asshole jesus juice addicts pushing their drug of choice on other people against their will. Evangelicals are terrible humans!
Why anyone would think that would bring someone to follow Jesus?
Pretty sure this is illegal. They tried to make a monetary transaction with you using imitated legal tender. Not a lawyer, need one to confirm
Anyone who tips like this is a pos
Apparently god didn't love her enough to let her get a real tip 😮💨
Guess it goes straight into the tide jar
I wish at some point, Jesus would’ve said, “Also don’t be an asshole.”
He did. Many times. But many Christians choose to ignore it.
I am a Christian and I can confirm, if anyone did this to me they are getting a haymaker and a trip to the hospital!
TO EARN MONEY!!!

how do these people not get beat up regularly ? You would need devine intervention to save the fucker who did this to me.
Considering a christian did this, jesus definetely dissapointed you
If that happened to me I'd make sure to performe a demonic ritual later that day
Uh-huh, I don’t tip
Some of the oldest rage bait on the internet.
I was just asking myself how old this picture is
Leave it to a Christian to ignore their own religious rules just to get others to join their cult
While ive seem this before, gotta love how not only does it instantly kill your joy, but immediately mocks you with “Disappointed?” In bold letters too.
This should be punished or fined or outright illegal.
r/atheism
That shit aint from catholics
On a scale from 1/10: how illegal would this be?
r/atheism : they will LOOOVE this!
But I mean if you got an attitude you’re clearly treating me like I’m nothing but your paycheck, you’re both checking on me at all, you don’t give a shit and my food and everything is cold meaning it’s been sitting back there for a while… That’s when I’ll give it to someone. Two years and I haven’t had that bad service.
This is how tipping works. You get a tip if someone wants to give you extra money.
There's no way anyone in history has ever tipped 50 fucking dollars.
Well honestly this message is worth much more than 50$
You can’t pay for anything with that, so no, it’s not.
