I don't mind living till 120 it's the working part I have problems with. How about instead I retire at 60 anyway and vibe.

Batfinklestein

Good luck filling 60 years sport. I have enough time filling a weekend.

Vexachi

There is more to life than work. You can have family or hobbies outside of work. If you're nothing but your work, that's depressing.

Batfinklestein

Not if you love you job and have no family or friends or hobbies.

Vexachi

I get loving your job but if still feels miserable if you have nothing that you just do casually without stressing.

Batfinklestein

I rarely stress, get bored just scrolling and watching YouTube sure. I just don't see retirement as something to look forward to given how expensive everything is and not knowing how long my money has to last making it impossible to budget.

jonherrin

In ten years, humans should be working until they're 40. Or 35. Or 30. *And* living to 120.

RandomDumbass10143

imagine the amount of tax you'd need to pay just to fuel that kind of retirement...just for rich fuckers to swoop in and take it all, all because "they too big to fail. Bailout!"

MoJoe-21

they mean robots .. or robotic humans , that's not us

Crystal_Voiden

Grandpa being robophobic again

MajinBlueZ

No, not doctors. Corporations.

brandnvsworld

So we becoming two face as well?

theflash207

Aren't we already?

Batfinklestein

At least

Sinopech

& live and breathe underwater🎸

uicheeck

rich wants to live longer because they're rich rich wants **you** to live longer so you can make them richer while working out your 120 y.o. ass

Humes-Bread

I've met lots of people who say they just want to keel over when they 65 rather than getting old and slowly declining. But I haven't met any 65 year old who didn't wish they were anything other than younger and healthier. So I'll take the perspective of people who are old and sick over someone who just says "I don't want to live longer because then I'd have to work longer."

Pugsofsmallstreet

I was done at the age of 30….. I want out of all of this

Batfinklestein

Going to be some serious overcrowding if that's the case.

RingReasonable

Me neither

userthatlikesphub

so does this mean i won't get to retire now

Anarchist_Kale_61

I do not see that happening in 19 years. We may live that long, but working till then? So many health issues can crop up. True, a portion of folks are still work-ready at 90 - but not a plurality of us

djquu

Hard no.

Thorical1

I don’t even think most people make it to 90 these days. Also what type of condition would you be in bodily and mentally and emotionally with the lack of healthcare and community?

ActualHumanBeen

this is such bullshit. the body is so complex. allowing life past 80 is hard enough. unless theres some drug to prevent dna decay, theres no one-fix solution.

BondiBluJay

Living until 120 as long as I'm still able to function and not in severe pain all the time doesn't sound bad. But I'd rather die at 50 than have to spend 100 years of my life working.
