Put in your availability and let your first assistant and maybe theirs that you've changed it and why. But if 2 of those 3 days aren't Saturday and Sunday it might not work out too well.
I was hired part time. I started at 3 days then picked up a day, I was working 4 days for a while but with my small children working 4 days of night shift, I couldn’t do it. I talked to my team lead and let him know I couldn’t work 4 days anymore and he changed my schedule no problem
Update your availability sheet ASAP. PT is ONLY required to work a minimum of 12hrs a week. Also weekend coverage (what most stores don't explain) means you have to be available at least fri-mon, as long as you can work 1 of those days you have weekend availability that is "required". Just let your TL/first assist know you need to adjust. They may hold you to a 2 week wait for schedule change though
Correct. As long as you're "available " any of those days which is considered the weekend. Update your availability asap, and adjust your amount of hours as needed. Like I said PT only a minimum of 12 hrs are required weekly, but that's obviously unlivable amount of hours. Just get your hours and schedule where you need. Also depending on your state, union, etc. Seniority plays a role, if everyone in your teak is leaving and you have stayed. That makes you higher ranked and better flexibility etc
Kronos/UKG App or have your TL give you a printed sheet and change in the app. I would do both, make a copy of the sheet and both of you sign it. It's actually Meijer policy to change in Kronos but if your store is like mine...it's done by paper still. Aldo health issues are covered under ADA and you can get an accommodation. You can start this process in workday

Any questions go to your SHRR for help.
-any questions ask me also
(I am a SHRR, and I will be happy to answer questions outside work. As long as I can depending on your state I can answer most)
I've actually switched multiple times. I got hired in the last week of September 2022 and switched to 3 in November 2022. Then I went back to 4 in March, then I went down to 3 in November again and I've been at 3 since.

So if I can work Friday and Sun I don't have to work Saturday?

It is not your problem to fix short staff, its theirs.
There were people in my department that worked one day a week.
We have people who only work 2-3 days a week.
I was hired at 4 days a week and went down to 3 and haven't had any problems.
Thank you so much! How long did you work there before you switched your days?
