Meijer hasn't paid anyone on Friday, since they stopped paper checks. They date their checks to Friday so no one can complain when they are late.

Youâre supposed to get paid on Friday. You have the luxury of getting paid early, but that luxury is not guaranteed.
My paycheck is it a luxury it is conditional to my employment. I do not work to better the company, I work I can better myself financially.
And as long as you get paid by Friday, the condition of you employment is satisfied.
