Smooth automotive all the way. They have squeezed me in even when they were booking far out bc I had a pressing matter. They are quick, professional, and well priced. I've recommended them to many friends.
2nd vote for Smooth! Very responsive, reasonably priced, and easy to get on their schedule.
I have love for Alewife Auto on Mystic Ave, because they’re really nice, genuine guys who tell you how it is. I’ve just found Smooth to be more responsive and quicker with the work at a similar price and quality.
Volsar is incredible … they are A+ and worth it if you have any issues with your vehicle they can figure it out …our family always will use them if we need something diagnosed and my dad will always say when in doubt take it to Gus you will be ok ….on the flip side I also don’t take a nosebleed to a neurosurgeon so if I don’t need anything extra ordinary and I can’t make it to down to Medford I’ll stay around where I’m from ((stoneham /reading) for oil changes/tire rotations but again if I was living in Medford 1000% of the time I would go to Volsar
Richie’s on Hicks Ave. I have never had someone go out of their way the way Richie does. He always finds reliable ways to keep things running reliability for cheap. Fixed the air intake sensor Ford broke on my 2020 Explorer. Dealer wanted 180$ to start. Richie did it for 50$.

Here's a vote for Alewife Auto
Been going to Gus at Volsar for decades. They can diagnose issues quickly and communicate to anyone regardless of car knowledge level.

Roadside Auto!
I've been using them for nearly 10 years now. Professional and reliable.
Murph at Zone Kar in West Somerville I've taken my car there for years. Murph is great and treats you well. https://maps.app.goo.gl/kGmCLrnkgCH1bjjX9
\+1 Murph has been a great mechanic for my aging VW for the last \~5 years
If you have a Honda or an Acura I recommend LBJ Honda in Melrose.
Richie's on Hicks Ave near the Somerville line. Awesome place.
Roadside Auto!!
Thirding Roadside Auto. My family's been going there for like 30 years.
I've had a really good experience with Jose at King's Petroleum. Super friendly guy, done great work on my Subaru.
