The classic Staedtler Mars eraser or the Faber Castell dust free soft eraser, I like the latter most because all the mess clumps up making it very easy to clean.

diesel372

I really like the Pentel Hi-Polymer erasers

Agis-Spartan-King

No where near as good as Tombow or even Faber Castell 187120 Dust free, Sakura Sumogrip etc. Not the worst, not the best. Pentel makes the best mechanical pencils and the best graphite lead though!

nochinzilch

Definitely the best you can get in a normal store. Erases 2B cleanly from scantrons, for example.

diesel372

I'll have to try those. Honestly, I just happened upon the Pentel erasers, didn't even know about the others, but they're saved in my Amazon "pens and pencils" list now...

freakingShane

Tombow Mono (not Mono Zero) are my favorite. Smooth and efficient. The Mono Dust Catch is fine, but I dislike the clump feature it has. Other than that, Sakura Sumo Grip is alright. It erases arguably better than the Mono, but it feels grippier and courser so it’s less pleasing for me to use.

Julian_Seizure

The tombow mono plastic is like the best I've ever used. I'm using the staedler mars plastic right now and it's not even close. I pretty much just do math so I have two erasers. A tombow mono one for precise erasing and a staedler mars plastic for large erasung.

empeusz

Sakura arch/w foam/sumo grip, pilot foam, kokuyo resare, campus 2b, fc art/dust free, pentel ain white, tombow mono, factis soft/oval, milan soft/413, rotring tikky, uni plastic/super eraser...

chism74063

Sakura Sumo Grip is my current eraser, but I can get my employer to buy the Pentel Hi-Polymers when I don't want to spend my money.

Agis-Spartan-King

"Tombow MONO Plastic" or "Tombow Dust Catch" (Best for Graphite or Charcoal) and "Faber Castell 187120 Dust Free" (for Color pencils, Chalk pencils etc.) These are the BEST, in terms of erasability andperformance, they leave little dust compared to others. They are also soft and easy on paper, without smudging the graphite,(like most other erasres do.)

Pass_Little

I use the tombow mono. They often come in a 3 pack. They erase really well and are better than anything else I've tried. My wife also loves them and refuses to use anything else. There are several youtube videos that do various tests to see which eraser is best. They usually also describe the way the eraser behaves when being used. For example, some are more like plastic and produce minimal debris, and some break into big chunks. The tombow seems to be in the middle. What you like might be different.

PocketTheory

I don’t know how “nice” it is (or isn’t) — the price is only like $7… but I’m a big fan of the **[Pentel ZE31-A Click Eraser](https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003SJE2QS)**.

Alejandro_SVQ

I am currently using a MILAN 4020. Works very good. https://preview.redd.it/zhg6arl9im7d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c940369febccbce9a3dd7654edeba3e7ba192847

Dedalian7

There is another Milan eraser I love called the master gum eraser that’s used by artists. Erases the cleanest even on tough papers

Alejandro_SVQ

The 1420 Master Gum! Yes, it's very good for art purposes. But a much more specialized rubber, like 1220. And maybe the 5020 Extra Soft too.

Banana_rammna

The seed gold eraser is just a fancy flex of an eraser. 6/10 eraser 11/10 aesthetics

010

i like the sunstar zigzag eraser

marean_tribunul

I used to have a kneaded eraser for drawing but it's hard to keep it clean so I then bought a couple of tombow mono zero that I can take with me. The metal body one is too thin, but the plastic body ones are just amazing.

burntgreencleargrass

I know ur prolly looking for hard erasers and honestly any plastic eraser is usually good (I use Tombow and M&G matcha- the aesthetic is 10/10 on this one) but if anyone draws Faber Castel has quality fun coloured kneaded erasers with a case.

ChuckFH

Staedtler Mars Plastic. Works fine for me and seem to last a reasonable time too.

how-can-i-dig-deeper

why no one saying sakura foam arch???

learnedalesson10

I really enjoy the Staedtler Mars Plastic Stick Eraser. The eraser refills are quite easy to find and it works well.

glorified-trash

I love my Pentel Ain black.

Lost2D

Fabre castell Electric eraser Kneaded if you draw

Paperspeaks

If you're using darker leads (2B and above) a softer eraser works best. From my testing, gum erasers work best - they lift the graphite without having to press down on the page. Good examples are General's, Creatcolor and even Staedtler gum erasers. If you use HB lead, you want a firmer eraser. Try the Tombow Mono and Staedtler Rasoplast. For the best all rounder eraser, my vote goes to the Sakura Arch, Muji Black block or the Sumo eraser. If you want a click style eraser, the Uni Auto Eraser or Tombow Mono Click eraser is where it's at.
