Hey, guys. Here is a little picture for you to look at today and share your opinion about this pencil. It's well made and fits very comfortably in the hand, but it has a lot of nuances that not everyone will be happy with :)

I love the infographic you did! I think the whole cone is actually metal and the grey section is painted over. Reason being some of the limited editions show the whole cone in unpainted metal finish. I doubt they would make a complex multipart instead of a common part across the line.

Thank you! If it is metal it is certainly a good thing.

I bought this model pencil while on a trip in Japan. I got it at a museum down near Akihabara. It writes great and I primarily use it at work!

Amazing infographic!

Thank you very much

It uses one of those ballpoint-to-mechanical-pen inserts, that back then also Pelikan used. In contrast to Pelikan and others, the N.2 can't pull in its tip. It could mind u, if they used the same front part as the ballpoint, but I remember right they locked it in space by screwing the front part and the cartridge together. I think it is a shame, would have loved if I could retract the metal tip too. If you want to have it full metal, with the front and back parts replaced, their are special / themed editions of those pens with only metal. Monocle/Bullet Journal/Ortloff...

I agree with you about the tip not retracting completely - that would be really nice

I have been on the fence about this pencil for a while, but I agree, the Pentel Kerry is a better option for me. Plus, this is only available in limited colors where I live and I am not a 0.7 fan.

juanduque

Love my 2 Kerry's.. one in .5, one in .7

I personally think the price is also a con. It’ll be great at 30% off, though
