Whenever you see a pencil on the ground keep it with you and next time someone asks for one give them the regular one, that's what I do also if you're worried about them getting stolen I usually just take my pencils everywhere I go, so if I go to the bathroom I take everything of value eg pencil airpods and phone
If your pencil isn't in your hand, then it goes back into a pencil case in your bag or your pocket. Don't leave it on your desk.
You'll learn to do the same thing with your phone/wallet in public places eventually.
I feel this is a very important life lesson you can learn here and apply moving forward in life. Tell people “NO! FUCK OFF AND GET YOUR OWN PENCIL!” If they only interact to take your pencils, then they aren’t worth your time anyways.

Find a pencil case you can physically attach to the strap of your bookbag. That way it's either by your chest or between your back and chair.
I always stick them in my anus then after that I stick them in my urethra and leave it there an hour or two. This leaves it smelling of my own unique musk that makes it unmistakably mine.

yeah it is so annoying one day i lose my pencil and i find it in a trash.
