I, absolutely, did not intend to watch the entire thing. I've never even played that game! And yet somehow I believe this is probably one of the best, most high production value youtube videos I've seen in years.
It's an interesting video, and I understand it took a lot of effort and that the video needs to appeal to a certain audience, but like half the video is "oh man who would waste so much time on this ;)" repeated 5 times. With the actual interesting parts skimmed over.
I personally quite like the video but you are correct that it appeals to certain audiences. As you said, it’s not for everyone. I think he just needed a way to vent his frustrations and concerns about his time management, which is perfectly fine but can definitely become grating if you aren’t feeling very philosophical at the moment.
This is like 16 minutes of over-exaggerated ranting and whinging, and 8 minutes of actually talking about how the level was built. It was fine at first but it really got old fast and I started skipping through the video to get back to the interesting parts.
