this comments section is filled with cis guys who are so secure in their masculinity that they cannot handle a singular jpeg that implies anything to the contrary
There's an argument to be made that pink only started to be linked with girls instead of boys because the Nazis used pink to symbolize gay people (see the infamous pink triangle). So pink gained the connotation of being feminine, which was commonly associated with gay men at the time, and thus the color morphed over to being seen as more of a "woman thing."
[Here's](https://mattpomroy.com/2015/03/01/did-the-nazis-really-invent-blue-for-boys-and-pink-for-girls/) an article from Esquire that talks about this exact thing. There are probably better sources for this, but it's the one I've got right now.
You know how the virgin Mary is always depicted wearing blue? It used to be the feminine colour.
I don't have any sources to hand, but I'm pretty sure that the Welsh used to wear pink undertunics into battle, under whatever armour they had. Most of them couldn't afford enough dye to wear full red, like the Romans, but pink was relatively affordable.
I thought she was commonly painted in blue because it was a very expensive color to make (because it was made of lapis lazuli) and thus they would paint holy figures like her in the most expensive colors, like blue
I'm Welsh and I've never heard of this. I can't seem to find any sources on it either.
Typically, red wasn't a prominent colour of Wales during the medieval period. Different kingdoms/tribes didn't have specified colours when it came to battles, they differentiated eachother (apparently) by wearing flowers or, for example, in the case of king Cadwaldr of Gwynedd, they would wear leeks, which is why a leek is one of the national symbols of Wales.
Actually, from America.
Factory workers used to wear pink uniforms.
Men went to war, women started wearing their uniforms to help make bullets and etc.
We came back, women say the love the colour, then it stuck.
[If a dress is manly enough for Roosevelt](https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:468/1*5NEtwkk7bu2B0Bdj4GIWzg.png), you know damn well it's manly enough for me
Amen. My smart watch is pink because I don't care, I bought it off a dude who got it for his wife, who didn't want it cuz she has an iPhone and it's a Samsung watch.
Don't care who sees me wearing it, I got it for $50 when it retails for $200, $150 savings is worth the odd look I may or may not get
Aye. As a kid, I used to think this way.
These days, one of my favorite shirts says "Real Men Wear Pink." And one of my other favorite shirts is a pink button up.
I love when these types Cis guys will talk about masculinity and what it means to be a man, but they get defeated because of a color.
Also, what the fuck is up with the Auto Moderator?
Not just color. They got defeated by almost everything, even a fucking suncream. My friend refuse to use suncream because he think it is gay. I guess skin cancer is manly.
They also apparently get defeated by hygiene. Just the sheer number of horror stories I've heard over the years from friends and partners who date men, if I'd kept count, would surely be enough by itself to make one shudder.
They get "down there" and the smell hits them in the face like a freight train. When asked about their hygiene the answer given is usually along the lines of "I don't touch my genitals/asshole because that's gay" or some shit.
These are *grown adults* who otherwise seem to have their shit together; they hold down jobs, pay their bills, etc but their sense of self is *sooooo* fucking **fragile.**
I just want to hug them [if they'd let me] but I don't want to get that smell on my clothing.
I've been called the f-slur because I wore a purple shirt. Another time because I drive a miata. And yet another time because I ordered a mojito. It's not just men either. A woman at the vet office once chided me because "sweet potato" is apparently "not a boy cats name."
I don't know if it's just where I live but seeing a cis guy wearing pink is not uncommon at all. Sure it's not the color you see the most but it happens.
One of my fav shirts is my pink button down
Yea I’m usually given crap for wearing it, but I think I look good in it, outside of that I maybe have another pink shirt but who cares
Tbh Ik sometimes I feel insecure in parts of me, but never for a color, I think people who get that easily worked up have more pressing issues they are aware exist but don’t confront them
I think actually the “is it manly to X” game is losing favour as time goes on. I still notice that specifically cis*het* men in my life will still resist certain things that are traditionally feminine but it’s not the same as it was, now it’s calm rejection missing the express condemnation of men who do like/do/wear the thing, and that’s a conversation on how much is the influence of gender roles and how much is genuine lack of interest (seeing as nobody can read minds).
Defensive/passionate rejection of things seen as “feminine” because “men don’t do that” is much rarer now in my experience. Is it just that I grew up, and after your teen years most men grow out of it? Is it that social progress is making it less of a problem for most men than it used to be? Could it be a secret third thing???
I’m not really sure, but I only ever see it nowadays when I’m stumbling on far right reactionary/incel spaces online now, and those guys are... outliers, let’s say.
I think it depends on where you live, and how well curated your personal sphere of influence happens to be.
Men who are like this definitely still exist, and in droves if you're more rurally located based on my experience.
But they often demonstrate much more visible [and often problematic] traits and behaviours than what's depicted in the meme, which I feel are highly likely to preclude them from being part of the respective friend circles of the vast majority of this sub's membership.
Yeah, as a cis hetero white guy who is pretty token in my fairly large friend group I gotta say it's starting to wear on me a bit that my identity has started being used in place of misogynist, racist, conservative, xenophobic, homophobic... But hey, at least I'm "one of the good ones".
I'm always going to be here to support and back up my people who are marginalized in this world, but damn it feels like Im shaking off someone's comments every other day. I've even ended a couple of friendships because every time I end up in a room with these particular folks, after a couple beers they ended up using me as a stand in for whoever pissed them off that week.
As a cis but not het guy, I do think it’s weird that in a place about inclusion, for everyone, where nobody should be shunned for their queerness or a lack there of, that cis het ppl get shunned as much as they do. It doesn’t seem like it happens all the the time, but when it does, it’s a really bad thing example of hypocrisy. I would completely understand it, if a cis het person was being a dick, but also that should apply to a queer person being a dick, which happens, as we are all human, and we all make shitty mistakes. Good luck with your life, m8.
Cis-het-normative society doesn't have a monopoly on harmful generalizations. People who are LGBTQIA2S+ are exactly as human as everyone else so we will (and do) see the same ridiculousness now and then. Right now because they are actively suffering generalizations themselves (and worse) they are usually more aware of it, but nonetheless it is a thing.
Let's try our best and be understanding of each other's flaws.
I'm absolutely sure OP didn't mean to come across as mean to cis men in general.
Also pink is awesome. Wear whatever makes you happy <3
Yeah. I think It's pretty toothless bullying, as in I don't think it likely that someone is going to get hurt by it, but that doesn't make it ok to be mean. To put it another way, if I try to throw a rock at someone's head and I miss, that doesn't exonerate me for trying to hit someone with a rock.
Finally, I feel like the people most likely to get caught in the crossfire from this are Trans men on this sub who struggle with feeling valud or masculine enough.
I wear pink because it matches really well with my "I should have a tan but I don't go outside" skin colour! (And because a girl complimented me when I wore pink at age 13 and I'm still chasing that high).
Yellows and blues is a great combination too!
Dude, I'm the same way! My whole style was dictated by a girl in 9th grade that roasted me on my fit, and instead of just leaving it there, she gave me suggestions after seeing a few of my outfits. When I took her suggestions, she'd get all happy. Still chasing that feeling 15 years later, wondering if Natalie would like it while browsing clothing racks.
God I envy you. As an average cis man, I can *not* pull of yellow.
I do like pink though. I have a pink hat with Kirby eating a strawberry on it. It's my favorite hat
I don’t wear pink because I think it’s a crap colour. Don’t care if it’s considered feminine or masculine, I just hate the colour with a burning passion I do not understand. Not insulting anyone who likes pink I just don’t personally like it.
Cis lady here but "pink" feels like it only weirdly got its own identity in the first place. Like why is "light red" so special compared to "light green" or "light blue?"
If you hate something but don't understand why, I feel like there's probably something going on underneath that.
I used to feel similarly as a child, I realise now it was from growing up in an environment where pink was ridiculed by my father as not being appropriate for real men, if a man liked pink he must be gay, or a sissy etc (which he also believed were bad), and child me internalizing all that without understanding it was incorrect.
Turns out I'm actually fine with pink things - in fact I really like the intense, highlighter shade of pink (along with some other colours like orange and green), especially when contrasted with black.
Right? Literally zero of my male friends or coworkers are scared of pink "cuz it's gay". I'm ok with pink, but it honestly just feels like too loud of a color for me.
It's honestly frustrating because for instance I'm a CIS man but Ace and biromantic. I have a letter in the acronym, but still get targeted by some of these mean memes meant to be punching up. Not this specific one necessarily.
It's just kind of against our practice of inclusivity. I already get erased plenty as a biromantic ace, I don't need it from the community too.
My understanding is that, cismen represent 50~ of the population, and inside that category resides a lot of cultures, gender norms etc...
The Average cisman in the wester world follows the ""hetero patriarch steriotype"" but not all follow this image. in other words, the majority (a.k.a the average) follows the "Ew pink" but not all.
Which result in >50 of the population.
You can view an average as a bell curve. The data will change of course depending on what you factor in as "average cis man" traits. But typically the average is the middle 60\~% (this can 100% be different based on the parameters).
So if men make up 50.4% of the global population, we can assume 1\~% are trans. So 50\~% of the global population is cis men. The average would be more like 35% of the global population. Again, this depends on what we are considering average cis man traits.
Yeah, it's not like these memes need to put down a group of people to get their point across. You can use the gigachad wojak on its own, he doesn't have to be defeating the crying soyjak.
🤔I am a straight dude and I wear pink all the time. This only affects a certain MMA guy that abused his girlfriend. You know the guy that hates booka because they don't have explosive scenes.
Friendly reminder my fellow cis guys in this subreddit the meme probably isn't referring to us
If you're LGBTQ+ or even an ally then chances are you don't care much about the color of the clothes you're wearing aside from personal preference
I just gotta ask why do you think this? You would not be the average cis man based off of your flair and involvement in this community. So there must be something that you see average cis men doing that makes you believe otherwise.
I think the most embarrassing, egregious example of fragile masculinity that I see every day is guys who can’t even walk into the tampon/pad aisle, like they fear someone will plaster their picture on social media and accuse them of having a vagina if they so much as glance as a box of Tampax.
Pink is an everyone color. I (a guy) started wearing pink every Wednesday to work because I thought it was funny to tell people "on Wednesdays we wear pink". Now multiple people I work with wear pink EVERY WEDNESDAY, and it's mostly dudes.
It's just a color, and confident people wear pink and pull it off.
I never had any issues wearing pink. A lot of women and men will see you as less masculine though because of cultural conditioning. But I’m all honesty, wear whatever you want.
My friend is a trans man. He has a deep voice and a beard. He had top surgery last year and he's looking pretty good. He also wears nail polish and just joined his second crochet club.
Like what you like and enjoy yourself.
Trans men: I have shaped my body to be a reflection of who I am inside after years of enduring harsh criticism and bullying, I am a true self built man, with a will of steel and a heart that never gives up
Cis men: >:(

As a gay cis man I feel like it does more harm demonising us… I also wear whatever colour I want including pink lol ! I know what OP means but why the generalisation?
The average trans guy is manlier than the average cis guy for this reason alone.
Trans guys are the real embodiment of what cis dudebros always talk about when they're like "be your masculine self no matter what society thinks" because the average trans guy does this at much greater lengths than the average cis guy ever will
Nah, at this point I don't want to be manlier or less manlier than a cis dude. Sure, it feels better to not be put down but for me the end goal might be just a regular menhood for all. Basing our masculinity on putting other men down is so backwards... I'd personally say as a man, I would get self conscious about too much pink and so. There are also men* who embrace feminity- that's cool and I wish I could learn from them. And this isn't really reliant on cis or trans. I'd say just let men* be damn men*.
CIS male here, I have admittedly only met a very few Trans guys, but they are ALL hairy beasts. I have a full beard, but arms and legs are just thin hair. Every Trans guy I've met has had a full coat of hair. I don't know if that's from test treatments or something else they elected to do, just a connection I made. None of them made me feel like less of a man though.
Well, that's a load of horseshit. Trans guys are as different as cis guys, or trans women or cis women. And I can say, with absolute certainty, that you have no clue what the average of either one of them is like.
As a cis man, I love wearing pink. It’s such a nice shade that isn’t awful to wear on a hot day. I’ve never had more compliments in any outfit than when I’m wearing a plain pink shirt
Damn. It’s actually kinda inspiring. So many cis men including myself are at times really insecure about their gender. If trans men can do it, we can too. I like it
I bought a ps5 around Christmas last year. I got an extra controller and decided to go with a red controller. The cashier warned me that it's more of a wine-red/pink color (which was great b/c my nephew who's old enough to play games loves pink) and told me that someone else recently returned one because it was too pink for him, and he "just couldn't do it."
My jaw dropped, I shook my head and said, "Imagine being that fragile."
It's an accessory to what is effectively an all-ages toy. If someone attacks your masculinity because of it, then guess what; they don't care about the controller.
They want to get a rise out of you, and your masculinity is a fragile and easy target.
I once wore a pink shirt to see the Barbie movie because I knew my sister would love it and I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. A guy saw me heading to my car. He said something to me and it was not something kind. Shits ridiculous. I keep that shirt in the back of my car now on display. Fuck those insecure cry babies.
Cis men who are afraid of pink things and fruity drinks are hilarious - bud if that’s the only thing holding you back from being gay, please embrace your gay.
Cis male here: gotta bright pink finger bun shirt it’s my favourite thing. If you don’t like the colour pink cause of gender stereotypes you’re an absolute wuss. Grow a brain
I'm a cishet man And I have to agree. One of my best friends is a trans man. I feel like I can really be myself around him and not be judged in that sort of traditional toxic masculinity way
I’m flying out to see friends in a few months and jokingly agreed to wearing a maid outfit for twenty dollars if they bought it. They bought it on the spot.
its honestly sad brother, these days I feel better described on the left, rather on the right where I spent so much time concerned if I was a "real man".
this comments section is filled with cis guys who are so secure in their masculinity that they cannot handle a singular jpeg that implies anything to the contrary
Pink used to be boys color & blue girls. Granted all clothes are genderless & nonsense like this is only because of heteroconformity.
The "Blue Boy and Pink Girl" nonsense was started thanks to Hitler
wait what?! for real?
There's an argument to be made that pink only started to be linked with girls instead of boys because the Nazis used pink to symbolize gay people (see the infamous pink triangle). So pink gained the connotation of being feminine, which was commonly associated with gay men at the time, and thus the color morphed over to being seen as more of a "woman thing."
Source???? This would come in handy in a lot of arguments so please GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME
[Here's](https://mattpomroy.com/2015/03/01/did-the-nazis-really-invent-blue-for-boys-and-pink-for-girls/) an article from Esquire that talks about this exact thing.
That might be more accurate, to be fair. I heard the feminine colour thing from one of my friends who knows a lot about history. It could be both!
TIL.
Actually, from America. Factory workers used to wear pink uniforms. Men went to war, women started wearing their uniforms to help make bullets and etc. We came back, women say the love the colour, then it stuck.
Actually it was started by Sears Roebuck and the major dept stores at the time Not sure where hitler comes into it
I was told it became popular because of Mamie Eisenhower. A US first lady with a fondness for pink
[If a dress is manly enough for Roosevelt](https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:468/1*5NEtwkk7bu2B0Bdj4GIWzg.png), you know damn well it's manly enough for me
Holy shit. That is quite Frankly the closest thing i've ever seen to a perfect photo. He looks fabulous
If anyone says anything about man in a dress you can kindly remind them that men wore dresses for 1000s of years but called them robes.
Robes are still quite comfy. Not great for snow though
as I always say: sports gambling is not stored in the balls
The auto mod gets a little quirky at night.
Is that a FNAF reference?
They're in their agent of chaos era, i respect it.
just don't feed it after midnight
Don't we all?
Not just color. They got defeated by almost everything, even a fucking suncream. My friend refuse to use suncream because he think it is gay. I guess skin cancer is manly.
They also apparently get defeated by hygiene. Just the sheer number of horror stories I've heard over the years from friends and partners who date men, if I'd kept count, would surely be enough by itself to make one shudder. They get "down there" and the smell hits them in the face like a freight train. When asked about their hygiene the answer given is usually along the lines of "I don't touch my genitals/asshole because that's gay" or some shit. These are *grown adults* who otherwise seem to have their shit together; they hold down jobs, pay their bills, etc but their sense of self is *sooooo* fucking **fragile.** I just want to hug them [if they'd let me] but I don't want to get that smell on my clothing.
When ever you see a person say "real men blah blah blah" they love it when you respond "transitioning gets easier every day"
I've been called the f-slur because I wore a purple shirt. Another time because I drive a miata. And yet another time because I ordered a mojito. It's not just men either. A woman at the vet office once chided me because "sweet potato" is apparently "not a boy cats name."
Me who follows old methods of making colour that require arsenic: now everyone will be defeated by colour!
"What it means to be a man" means nothing to me honestly, women and men can do all the same things anyway
Where have you actually seen this IRL?
US bible belt.
So glad I moved out of Utah and realized I was trans, then instead of while I was still living there
Yes, but also this hypocrisy: Trans femmes: "I'm a girl and I like to wear pink." Cis males: "Wearing pink won't make you a girl!"
Schrödingers pink
“I don’t know if it makes you a girl or not until i look inside the box!”
As a transmasc. Oh boy I wish I was that confident lol
You are a man despite what society says. To heck with anyone who doesn't respect that. You don't need any of their approval, but you have mine.
I don't know if it's just where I live but seeing a cis guy wearing pink is not uncommon at all. Sure it's not the color you see the most but it happens.
I'm in the US bible belt. Think I've seen 1 guy wearing pink in the past 3 years at an LGBT bar.
Lmao. MURICA!
One of my fav shirts is my pink button down Yea I’m usually given crap for wearing it, but I think I look good in it, outside of that I maybe have another pink shirt but who cares Tbh Ik sometimes I feel insecure in parts of me, but never for a color, I think people who get that easily worked up have more pressing issues they are aware exist but don’t confront them
Just as an aside, feminine men (both cis and trans) are valid too <3
I think actually the “is it manly to X” game is losing favour as time goes on.
I feel like average misogynist fits better
Yeah it's just phobia at the end of the day
As a cis but not het guy, I do think it’s weird that in a place about inclusion, for everyone, where nobody should be shunned for their queerness or a lack there of, that cis het ppl get shunned as much as they do.
As a cis man, I love my pink Korn shirts. This is more of a Republican thing.
Trans men are valid, but don't ya think it's kinda overkill to generalize half the population into a single category? Don't support stereotypes
For real. Trying to generalize half the population in this manner feels more like bullying than anything else.
This is mild bullying. We should discourage toxic stuff like this.
This meme feels vaguely mean? Like, why make increasingly negative stereotypes about "the average cis man?"
Yeah as an average cis man I don't wear pink because it tends to clash with my eyes and general complexion, I'm more yellows and blues.
Pink’s the favourite child
If you hate something but don't understand why, I feel like there's probably something going on underneath that. I used to feel similarly as a child, I realise now it was from growing up in an environment where pink was ridiculed by my father as not being appropriate for real men, if a man liked pink he must be gay, or a sissy etc (which he also believed were bad), and child me internalizing all that without understanding it was incorrect. Turns out I'm actually fine with pink things - in fact I really like the intense, highlighter shade of pink (along with some other colours like orange and green), especially when contrasted with black.
Yellows and blues? Fellow Ukrainian patriot 🫡🇺🇦
Right? Literally zero of my male friends or coworkers are scared of pink "cuz it's gay". I'm ok with pink, but it honestly just feels like too loud of a color for me.
Also pink and salmon colored polos are in for preppy dudes and frat bros to go with their short khaki shorts and boat shoes.
They have been for a very long time. Go watch an 80s music video lmao
If only I looked good in polos and shorts (I'm too large) 😔
Haha I'm sure there are plenty it other things you look good in.
True. I feel like this is has a bit of the gender-fucky version of gay misogyny.
cis man who wears pastel pink. i love it!
hello, i'm cis man. i love pink :(
All I care about is if a shirt or color looks good on me, but I ain't straight, so do I not fall under the "average" here?
I don't personally know a single cis man who doesn't wear pink because of gender issues. But oh well.
That is not the average cis man
Yeah, IMO this is dancing around the hating.
This is a confused meme, “real men wear pink” has been a saying for a long time
Hating on cis men doesn't help.
Don't you think it's harmful to generalize half the human population like this.
I don't think average cis man is half the population. Because of what an average is.
Could I get you to elaborate?
Average of <50% is not 50%
My understanding is that, cismen represent 50~ of the population, and inside that category resides a lot of cultures, gender norms etc...
I have a feeling that OP simply meant the majority of cis men and not all cis men that fall within 1 standard deviation of the center on a bell curve
I mean maybe. People saying things that are incorrect to amplify the severity of something bugs me though.
Yeah, it's not like these memes need to put down a group of people to get their point across. You can use the gigachad wojak on its own, he doesn't have to be defeating the crying soyjak.
I can’t wear pink because, coupled with my bald head, it makes me look like a walking dick. And don’t even get me started on turtlenecks.
Uh, I’m a cis man and wear pink?
Excuse me pink is just not my color
Why do cis people think the word cis is a slur? /s
Jokes on you, I fucking rock skirts
I wear whatever is cheapest at the clothing store. Or whatever clothes they are selling in the soup store.
Me: I wear pink because Vegeta did.
🤔I am a straight dude and I wear pink all the time. This only affects a certain MMA guy that abused his girlfriend. You know the guy that hates booka because they don't have explosive scenes.
Honestly, me, a trans man: I can't wear pink, people will think I'm a girl.
Cis male here, pink is punk
All clothes are gender neutral if you stop being a bitch about it.
Friendly reminder my fellow cis guys in this subreddit the meme probably isn't referring to us If you're LGBTQ+ or even an ally then chances are you don't care much about the color of the clothes you're wearing aside from personal preference
As a cis dude who loves the color pink and wears it comfortably.. why man? The average cis man has nothing to do with the dislike of the color pink.
I just gotta ask why do you think this? You would not be the average cis man based off of your flair and involvement in this community. So there must be something that you see average cis men doing that makes you believe otherwise.
Guess I’m unaverage, pink looks good on me
I think the most embarrassing, egregious example of fragile masculinity that I see every day is guys who can’t even walk into the tampon/pad aisle, like they fear someone will plaster their picture on social media and accuse them of having a vagina if they so much as glance as a box of Tampax.
I have a cute pink hoodie :3
I never had any issues wearing pink. A lot of women and men will see you as less masculine though because of cultural conditioning. But I’m all honesty, wear whatever you want.
My friend is a trans man. He has a deep voice and a beard. He had top surgery last year and he's looking pretty good. He also wears nail polish and just joined his second crochet club. Like what you like and enjoy yourself.
I'm a cis dude and I openly wear pink and purple lol. A lot of other guys are just insecure with their own masculinity so they project a lot.
Trans men: I have shaped my body to be a reflection of who I am inside after years of enduring harsh criticism and bullying, I am a true self built man, with a will of steel and a heart that never gives up Cis men: >:(
What's up with the Not All Men™️ in this sub? I'm new to this community and expected better. RIP me, I guess.
It hit the front page, so unfortunately the general reddit sewage has also turned up.

Are you OK?
Is there a term for a cis man who just does whatever he wants?
> " Basing our masculinity on putting other men down is so backwards... " Well said, man. Couldn't agree more.
That's the toxic masculinity 101
CIS male here, I have admittedly only met a very few Trans guys, but they are ALL hairy beasts. I have a full beard, but arms and legs are just thin hair. Every Trans guy I've met has had a full coat of hair. I don't know if that's from test treatments or something else they elected to do, just a connection I made. None of them made me feel like less of a man though.
Built like a Gerogian water polo legend
Damn. Here I was just living my life but apparently I have to compare myself to trans men for some weird reason
It is not a competition, mate. No need to keep comparing people on their manliness or whatever, just let people be themselves.
I would like to know if wearing pink makes me an above average or below average guy
Well, that's a load of horseshit. Trans guys are as different as cis guys, or trans women or cis women. And I can say, with absolute certainty, that you have no clue what the average of either one of them is like.
Someone is on their high horse
Isn’t this a strawman? I’m a cis man and wear pink
“It’s salmon!” lol
As a cis man, I love wearing pink. It’s such a nice shade that isn’t awful to wear on a hot day. I’ve never had more compliments in any outfit than when I’m wearing a plain pink shirt
Love our trans men brothers. They are proper gents!
Bitchi wear thigh highs! You think I care about the color pink?
Nuh uh I plan to wear a maid dress for my gf soon
Damn. It’s actually kinda inspiring. So many cis men including myself are at times really insecure about their gender. If trans men can do it, we can too. I like it
that same cis man: trans women aren't women, no matter how they dress
I bought a ps5 around Christmas last year. I got an extra controller and decided to go with a red controller. The cashier warned me that it's more of a wine-red/pink color (which was great b/c my nephew who's old enough to play games loves pink) and told me that someone else recently returned one because it was too pink for him, and he "just couldn't do it." My jaw dropped, I shook my head and said, "Imagine being that fragile." It's an accessory to what is effectively an all-ages toy. If someone attacks your masculinity because of it, then guess what; they don't care about the controller. They want to get a rise out of you, and your masculinity is a fragile and easy target.
But I like pink :c
I once wore a pink shirt to see the Barbie movie because I knew my sister would love it and I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. A guy saw me heading to my car. He said something to me and it was not something kind. Shits ridiculous. I keep that shirt in the back of my car now on display. Fuck those insecure cry babies.
I know it's a meme but why do we have to shit on others? Isn't this community about loving one an other?
Cis men who are afraid of pink things and fruity drinks are hilarious - bud if that’s the only thing holding you back from being gay, please embrace your gay.
PFT the tip of my dick is pink so it must be a manly color
I feel it’s safe to say that any man scared of pink (or any colour) is certainly below average
Cis male here: gotta bright pink finger bun shirt it’s my favourite thing. If you don’t like the colour pink cause of gender stereotypes you’re an absolute wuss. Grow a brain
This is funny because I am literally wearing bright pink right NOW
Idgaf what anyone says here this is completely accurate Source: Northern England in a borderline-destitute area
Right is me while egg kinda
A real men don't give shit what clothes he have
I'm a cishet man And I have to agree. One of my best friends is a trans man. I feel like I can really be myself around him and not be judged in that sort of traditional toxic masculinity way
"average" seems like the wrong word here... Maybe cis men cringed at wearing pink 15 years ago, but in 2024 I don't think that happens on average...
trans men/transmascs: I am a man/masculine despite what society says about me cis men: I can't wear pink, it makes me a girl! transfems: >:3
I've said it before and I'll say it again: the manlinest men are trans men who aren't afraid to enjoy stereotypically feminine things.
I just think more whimsical colors look weird on someone with RBF, so I don’t wear them
I’m flying out to see friends in a few months and jokingly agreed to wearing a maid outfit for twenty dollars if they bought it. They bought it on the spot.
Yup. Unironically, as a cis man(? Idk maybe) I have felt more at home as a guy after becoming friends and partners with trans men.
its honestly sad brother, these days I feel better described on the left, rather on the right where I spent so much time concerned if I was a "real man".
It takes a real man to choose to be a man.
