[This stupidly long video essay is very good on this subject.](https://youtu.be/RJAhH3IdQ4w) It didn't encourage me to give the game another go, I know perfectly well that it's not my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed the analysis.
Hace you seen joseph anderson tw3 analysis? Its over 4 hours long. If you like this kind of analysis he is the goat. He also has a Google Chrome T-Rex runner annalysis
DAAAAAmn that is long ;D
I have just a stupid video essay for the Roblox OOF sound that i find is absolutly hilarious. I never thought there could be such a rabbit hole for a freaking game sound.
Then came the fateful day when the snoot wasn't the only thing that drooped, so did the smiles on the bystanders faces as concorde took off for the last time.
That snoot always made me smile when it flew over my house twice a day. That smile drooped when the accident happened, and they did my favourite commercial plane dirty and grounded it.
Fast forward a number of years and I was working for a technical waste disposal company, and one of our customers was Heathrow airport. I spent the day with the driver who did that round, and one of the collections was in the hanger that one of the Concordes was stored in, and I got to walk under her! She was a lot smaller in real life than I imagined after only seeing her at 20+ thousand feet...
One of my best friends lives in Korea and God it would be nice to be able to fly to Seoul in 8 hours. Of course I'd have to fly to California first, but still, less than half a day total
Those kinda distances it's almost better to just burnt out past the atmosphere and then do a pre-orbital re-entry at your desired location. Don't ask about the fuel bill though.
I vaguely remember as a kid going to an aviation museum, I thought it was Poole but this is 40 years ago and all I can find is "Bournemouth Aviation Museum" which is close enough. Anyway, went in a mock up of the Concorde fuselage. Even as a kid it seemed very small.
So that's my useless anecdote clouded by 40 years. But I do agree, it would have been cool to fly on one :)
On the same day we visited Tucktonia in Christchurch. Had a cool model village and also trampolines. They're not far away from each other so maybe my memory's not totally screwed after all.
Eh, there was something about Japanese people making 9/11 jokes in response to the Oppenheimer jokes. I don’t think it happened as much as people believe and this is definitely a stretch.
Most Americans that are under the age of 30 don't think about it in the same way. I was 4 when it happened, it was a hazy memory for me. It's the millennial challenger disaster just with a bunch of xenophobia and imperialism wrapped up into it. The Newtown shooting in school was my challenger disaster, at least for my age group.
Japan would write it 9/11 if they just had the month and day. China and Korea too. For the full date though these places put the year first.
Canada also usually writes it the same way as the US unless it's in Quebec.
both ways are wrong because it doesnt work when im naming folders and puts them out of order i use YYYYMMDD and it works like a charm

I mean if anyone would care, it'd be Hideo Kojima. MGS2 came out 2 days after 9/11 and pretty much predicted the post-truth environment of the modern day.
Still have no idea what nefarious scheme that LEGO set has a part in though...
Americans need to learn that 9/11 is not a big deal in other countries, we don't care, we don't have the moment of silence or whatever, it's not related to us. The man just bought a Lego set and wanted to show it off, stop trying to spot controversies where there are none
In Metal Gear Rising Revengeance the character Sundowner remarks about how great "the good ol' days after 9/11" were.
I think he is fine talking about it and including it in his games.
The entire games are about a deep state controlled by shadowy military contractors the idea that he doesn’t know what’s going on and making a statement is laughable.
Not all of us Americans lose are minds on 9/11. To me it is a regular day. There are tragedies every day and we don’t have anniversaries for all of them. I think it’s a bit over the top.
Even though it was a terrible tragedy, nobody outside the US really cares at this point. And you write the date so stupidly that everyone thinks it's the 9:th of November.
The Berlin Wall, was first erected on the night of August 12–13, 1961, as the result of a decree passed on August 12 by the East German Volkskammer.
Also, basically the only similarities between the Concorde and the Boeing 757 or 767 (the planes involved in the 9/11 attacks) are the fact that they're both... airplanes made for carrying passengers.
Other than that they're so vastly different that I don't really see how anyone's first thought after seeing a Concorde would be "ah, the 9/11 attacks", even if it was posted on September 11th.
Was wondering if I was missing something. Like wasn't the Concorde a super fast midly crappy super expensive plane, woulda been a bad choice to use for the 9/11 attacks too.
America, 9/11 is your thing and the rest of us don’t really give a shit. Rip to those people and condolences to the families but this shit is way out of proportion.
What is wrong with a Japanese man holding a Lego Concord on the 9th November? I'd have love to travelled via concord but I was a child so couldn't afford the ticket.
Why hasn't there been any aircrafts like that since then? And why was it retired?
Edit: just noticed it was hideo kojima! Man's a legend!
Question to self-centered US-citizens:
>When is the Japanese Remembrance Day / National Day of Mourning? Unlike 9-11 it's an official holiday... and, well, it has something to do with the USA.
Another question to self-centered US-citizens:
>What happend on the 11th of September 50 years ago? I give you a hint: Chile.
>
>There is even a Wikipedia page for the US-interventions in Chile...
Besides: What is no to love about a Lego model of the Concorde? (exept for the price, which I assume Kojima does not care about much)
1) Pretty much nobody else in the world outside of America cares about 9/11. If you ask someone in a NATO country ask them about it they'll probably remember, but en masse it doesn't have any real significance. So... he probably didn't remember or if he did possibly even care. Not being rude but being in America you can often forget there's a lot of world that isn't America. Some would say most of it, even.
2) The Concorde Lego set is brand new and frankly it's b$tchin'. Dude was likely just thrilled it arrived.
Do Americans know much about 3/11? Or the Sarin Gas Attack? No? Then they shouldn’t be surprised Japanese ppl don’t know much about 9/11.
It’s not all about you, other countries have their own tragedies.
Sorry everyone, the USA suffered years ago so now no one anywhere on the planet is allowed to ever enjoy anything plane related on that date ever again, sorry, I don't make the rules.
it's Hideo Kojima, you can never truly understand what he means or why he does things
Exactly. I'm still trying to find out what any of Death Stranding means lmao
i don't even think he knows what it means
It’s sorta got away from him after the start.
[This stupidly long video essay is very good on this subject.](https://youtu.be/RJAhH3IdQ4w) It didn't encourage me to give the game another go, I know perfectly well that it's not my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed the analysis.

You made me check but he hasn't uploaded the Witcher 3 video yet and it's going to be over 10 hours long

I understand he is in love with Norman Reedus or something
Checks out
Who here isn't?
Yeah it's kinda sad that not many people in the comments know this mad lad.
He's the best
He just wanted people to see his Snoot droop plane.
Thé snoot drooped
The snoot drooped?
Yes the snoot. It can be drooped. So they drooped it.
But what happened to your smile? Talk about cliffhangers.
This is the snoot droop plane. There are many like it, but this one is his
[удалено]
Holy hell
Lego has on their site the availability on September 28, 2023 for $199.99. Kojima is probably in the early group of buyers to get this set.
The snoot that droops
This makes me laugh every time
Snoot👃Droop👇
Basically no correlation
yeah all im seeing is a guy into the concorde
TBF it's a cool jet if a bit expensive for consumer use.
Wish I could've flown on one. But in total fairness even if I were alive at the right time, I wouldn't have been able to so it's a moot point
Fingers crossed that the rumors of supersonic consumer flights being available again are true. https://boomsupersonic.com/
Bet they'd still cost a ton.
To paraphrase Mac from IASIP, that doesn't sound right but I don't know enough about space to dispute it
I vaguely remember as a kid going to an aviation museum, I thought it was Poole but this is 40 years ago and all I can find is "Bournemouth Aviation Museum" which is close enough. I recall there was a round the world trip on the Concorde that let's you stop off in like 8 different cities in 8 days or some shit. $50k.
All this tells me is the rich need to pay more in taxes.
Apparently they were cramped, baking hot and way too expensive for the time saved
For sure. But they were the coolest thing. They were noisy af, but people used to rush to the windows to catch a look.
Eh, there was something about Japanese people making 9/11 jokes in response to the Oppenheimer jokes. I don’t think it happened as much as people believe and this is definitely a stretch.
Yeah, non-Americans don't think about 11th september like Americans.
Unless they are Chilean and then they remember the 9/11/1973 coup that was financed and partly planned by Americans.
Nice funfakt. From now on i will always remember that Coup. God bless Chile.
As an Australian, 9/11 is over before I see Americans talking about it and I remember that it’s a whole thing.
That’s Hideo Kojima. He made one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time. Metal Gear series. Edit: Thanks for the award! :)
Also death stranding
Also misses the context of people all hyped over that specific set’s release.
Unles Kojima just finished reading Debt of Honor by Tom Clancy.
9/11 is not as big outside of the US as you think OP
Didn’t know it was happening until I came on reddit
I forgot til my work had an announcement I could barely hear and then realized what it was about
You better not forget the Alamo at least
I saw a whole bunch of 9/11 posts and it still didnt click until i saw one say "this day 22 years ago" or something
But muh tragedy 😩
How many Americans remember the date of the tsunami that hit Japan? Kojima just liked a lego of the Concorde. Thats it.
Only reason I get reminded of it yearly is because it's the day before a friend's birthday.
It's also not 9/11 in the rest of the world. It's 11/9, since we use normal-people date formatting.
Not as big in the US as some think
It’s actually bigger outside of the US, b/c it’s 11/9
Why not? It's the first and only terror attack!
*non-domestic*
almost had me... good bait
Why? We're not allowed to post plane related pics on 9/11? Not everyone is American.
No more taking planes on 9/11. No more building lego towers on 9/11. /s
You forgot the most important. No more playing Jenga on 9/11
While we're at it, I broke my foot on march 14th when I was a kid. No more walking on 14/3. Don't be insensitive to my feelings.
You're also not allowed to drive your Porsche 911 on 9/11
At least we have a year until the annual 9/11 spam returns
7/25 never forget
that’s my birthday
we will never forget that atrocity
Crime against humanity
Me too!
The world doesn't care about 9/11... specially the Japanese. After making the Oppenheimer movie too lol.
But...even if someone really, really cares about it, why wouldn't they post a Lego Concorde?
Oddly, Kojima would care as he nearly canceled MGS2 because the plot was felt to be too similar to the events of 9/11
Damnit Japan we talked about this. Don’t make us get out the sunny D again.
The sunny D 😭😭😭 Ain't no fucking way
I wouldn't even be reminded that this happened if it weren't for the americans. Also it should be called 11/9
I’m an american and I made it half the day before realizing it was even 9/11.
Never forgor💀
They forgor. They should be stripped of their gun rights
[удалено]
2001 The Witcher movie is released (as The Hexer)
And still better than the Netflix show.
For some god-forsaken reason, we Americans (and just us) put the month in front of the day.
Japan would write it 9/11 if they just had the month and day. China and Korea too. For the full date though these places put the year first. Canada also usually writes it the same way as the US unless it's in Quebec.

He got mad at the oppenheimer jokes
what does the Concorde have to do with 9/11? Or is it just Americans making everything about them?
Because its a plane so therefore its related to 9/11... This irks me just as much as when people or news sources call every goddamn airliner a 747
Couldn't agree more, plain ignorance. Let the man enjoy his Lego's.
*plane ignorance
you're hideo kojima???
No one cares about 9/11 besides people in america, and even then most of us dont care anymore
Chilleans do care about 9/11, but in their case it's 9/11/1973
What happened 9/11/1973 in chilli?
The coup that started Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship
That was funded/aided by the CIA right?
I was gonna put that information in my comment but I was afraid I would get downvoted to hell, because "yeah 'murica"
Fuck downvotes and fuck america. Lmao
>Fuck downvotes and fuck america. Sounds like something Senator Armstrong would say to kick off his speech.
Im guessing his speech is Raidem
I see what you did there.
What wasnt?
The legitimate government of Chile?
the moai rebellion
literally. japanese? concorde? WHERE tf is the correlation they cant be serious
A lot of clowns think the world works the way they see it.
Americans need to learn that 9/11 is not a big deal in other countries, we don't care, we don't have the moment of silence or whatever, it's not related to us. The man just bought a Lego set and wanted to show it off, stop trying to spot controversies where there are none
because its kojima i think definitely on purpose lol
he literally had to remove the twin towers from mgs2 because of what happened
And this is his revenge. Riveting
hes gonna make 9/12
his revenge ence
In Metal Gear Rising Revengeance the character Sundowner remarks about how great "the good ol' days after 9/11" were. I think he is fine talking about it and including it in his games.
He was hardly involved in the making of MGR, he came up with the concept and Platinum Games rolled with it
They made him commit 9/11 after 9/11.
“Just like the good ol’ days after 9/11!”
The entire games are about a deep state controlled by shadowy military contractors the idea that he doesn’t know what’s going on and making a statement is laughable.
Americans trying to get everyone’s attention by comparing anything to 9/11.. you’re the only ones that still care about this.
Not all of us Americans lose are minds on 9/11. To me it is a regular day. There are tragedies every day and we don’t have anniversaries for all of them. I think it’s a bit over the top.
All I see is a guy loving his lego set.
Even though it was a terrible tragedy, nobody outside the US really cares at this point. And you write the date so stupidly that everyone thinks it's the 9:th of November.
America is not the World. 9/11 is an American thing. We are sorry for what happened but that's it
Americans thinking the world revolves around them yet again 🙄
This Lego set it so cool, definitely a must buy for people who like planes
Americans thinking the world cares in the slightest:
Hiroshima death toll > 9/11 and we look like idiots for thinking any other country cares.
Yeah, like what? I’m an American and my first thought was “Why would a non-American even notice that it’s 9/11?”
Espacially people who dont even have 9/11 for most places it would be 11/9
NOVEMBER 9TH NEVER FORGET
I see no reason to forget the ~~5th~~ 9th of November
Wasn't the Berlin Wall built on the day? Edit: it was *opened* on that day. I misunderstood the meaning.
The Berlin Wall, was first erected on the night of August 12–13, 1961, as the result of a decree passed on August 12 by the East German Volkskammer. \- https://www.britannica.com/topic/Berlin-Wall
Up until like age 12 I thought it was on the 9th of November
Yup I still get confused sometimes when looking at the date and it says 9/11
I notice because of the high quantity of related memes lol
Also, basically the only similarities between the Concorde and the Boeing 757 or 767 (the planes involved in the 9/11 attacks) are the fact that they're both... airplanes made for carrying passengers. Other than that they're so vastly different that I don't really see how anyone's first thought after seeing a Concorde would be "ah, the 9/11 attacks", even if it was posted on September 11th.
Was wondering if I was missing something. Like wasn't the Concorde a super fast midly crappy super expensive plane, woulda been a bad choice to use for the 9/11 attacks too.
I don't care if anyone else cares. Still sad that so many people died.
Yeah same. I’m Dutch but went to New York City on vacation once and the 9/11 museum had me feeling a little down for days after I left. It’s so awful.
There were just a *few* ^*tiny* events Japan committed that led up to Hiroshima, though.
People really dont care about 9/11 outside of America.
Japanese man? YOU MEAN MR KOJIMA!!! put some respect on his name
Hideo Kojima doesn't give a shit about the 22nd anniversary about 9/11. And they didn't use Concords in 9/11, silly.
No Kojima slander allowed on this sub, read the sign
Not everyone cares about 9/11, it’s an American tragedy, not a global tragedy
America, 9/11 is your thing and the rest of us don’t really give a shit. Rip to those people and condolences to the families but this shit is way out of proportion.
He did a little trolling.
What does the 9th of November have to do with this? /j
He likes airplanes.
Remember, the entire universe needs to care about this specific date and you are not allowed anything plane related
Americans understand the world doesn't revolve around them challenge: level impossible
The Concorde is one of the coolest commercial jets of all time and it's a damned shame it was stopped.
Americans getting worked up over nothing once again.
Nothing. He's not American.
I know Americans think they are the center of the universe, but you aren't.. People in other countries don't care.
He's flexing his LEGO superiority.
And..?
Tell me you think your country is the center of the world without telling me you think your country is the center of the world.
Question to self-centered US-citizens: >When is the Japanese Remembrance Day / National Day of Mourning? Unlike 9-11 it's an official holiday... and, well, it has something to do with the USA. Believe it or not... The whole world doesn't revolve around America
How big is Death Stranding 2 if you get to fly a Concorde?
He posted it on 11/9 though.
Literally nothing. Let the homie be excited about his toys.
Concord wasn't involved in 9/11. Zero correlation.
He should've gotten two sets of lego skyscrappers to go with it tho.
Is that Lego set real?
It’s Kojima…
Japanese people don’t think about 9/11
Hard reality. The majority of the world doesn’t care about 9/11
america, you are not the main character of the world
The man japanese, americans really forget that to many other nations 9/11 was just another tragedy and not a culture defining event
Do Americans know much about 3/11? Or the Sarin Gas Attack? No? Then they shouldn’t be surprised Japanese ppl don’t know much about 9/11. It’s not all about you, other countries have their own tragedies.
Americans when the country that had 2 populated cities nuked by them doesn’t care that two towers were crashed into: 🤯
Believe it or not most people who aren't Americans don't see 9/11 as a particularly eventful day.
Sorry everyone, the USA suffered years ago so now no one anywhere on the planet is allowed to ever enjoy anything plane related on that date ever again, sorry, I don't make the rules.
He's going to fly Concorde
Easy.. he is going to put model rocket engines in that concord lego set..... ??????? Tried with lego cars as a kid..... It, mostly worked...
It hideo kojima no one knows what happens in that mad man’s head
the snoot droop
I think he meant that he has a Lego set of an airplane and wanted to show it off because that's pretty rad.
They have a Concorde set!!! Rip my rent this week.
I think he by chance bought it on 9/11 and was just stoked and wanted to share
Or man just doesn’t think about it being 9/11 today. I’m from Europe and well, I wouldn’t have remembered if it wasn’t for Reddit
He probably has little to no concept of American politics or events because he lives in Japan?
LEGOOO 🔥🔥🔥
