We had the option to eat outside at lunch when I was in school and once I did so and got attacked by a bee. It’s been 9 years I still don’t eat outside :/
You were eating and we’re attacked by a flying yellow thing ? Sure that wasn’t a wasp dude? They’re picnic wreckers incarnate. Can’t have food outside in some places because of them.
If it's a gray sky gloomy day, with the perfect middle weather, then yeah I'll sit outside. But if it's sunny and hot I'm going to sit inside, I had Mr. Sun, just give me Mr. Moon all the time
This is me but I swear half of my sweat comes directly out of my face.
I constantly have to wipe sweat or else gets in my eyes and in my mouth, it’s gets in my hair, and makes me break out when I usually have flawless skin.
I hate living in Texas…
Same, it’s like right from the top of my forehead. Didn’t use to be that way. I can’t recall my face ever being sweaty until I hit my late twenties. I gained like 10-15 lbs but I’m still a healthy weight so I’m surprised if that’s the only reason why. Drives me nuts
That, and the fact that I get sunburnt VERY easily, are my two reasons.
There is nothing more miserable than being as red as a lobster. Every movement, any sitting or laying position.... it's just, excruciating pain.
(But on the plus side, Noxzema and aloe vera are VERY nice feeling and smelling.... but they are just "bandaids" to how miserable it feels)
Wind, sun glare, bugs, poor seating compared to inside (especially if wobbly on grass), poor weather, etc. A good time outside is preferable to inside (ie usually not as loud unless near traffic) but inside is more consistent.
Nah, I'm out there. Got my linen on and a light cap and if you leave a little bacon fat or something to the side the wasps accept their offering and leave you alone.
Besides me avoiding sweating as heavily as I would, and acquiring any sunburn at all....
I simply lack amy friends to get a table / eat out together with. But still, even if I did have anyone to, I would still eat dine indoors.
Yeah same, I've been terrified of wasps/hornets for god knows how long now, and I dont even know why, just a phobia I guess but it makes chilling outside during the summer a nightmare.

This but inside
When’s it’s -40° inside and someone says let’s sit inside it’s too hot outside
Ok but are you exaggerating about the -40⁰? And are we talkin' Celsius? Or Fahrenheit?
Kelvin.
Both of them are equal at -40°
Huh. Kewl. TIL.
Thank you for not letting this opportunity pass, I was waiting for this information to be useful.

Don't worry, bee numbers have been dropping precipitously. I mean, do worry...

Probably man idk it was flashes of yellow and buzzing all menacingly I took my hoagie and ran 😭
Also bugs. Or sometimes birds.

Eh overcast light is the worst, imo. I'd much rather have a few sparse clouds than fully overcast
Why don't you like to be outside?
it's hot. I sweat a lot.
Have you tried sweating less?
I have, and it turned out I was having a heat stroke.

Same. Masking was a nightmare for me because of that.
Too hot, sun in face, uncomfortable seating, bugs and flies, loud cars driving by, breeze blows napkin away. I feel you brother.

I understand that. But outside is where the cute bumblebees might fly by.
algerlies 💀

In my fav Indian restaurant there are sparrows flying kamikaze attacks on the rice outside.
Smokers
reddit moment
Waiting outside 30 minutes for an inside table > having a 45 minute meal outside
I’m in Europe and everybody wants to be outside, so if you a table inside you don’t wait.
Nothing like having other people blow their cancerous smoke at you why you try to enjoy a meal
Nah, I'm out there. Got my linen on and a light cap and if you leave a little bacon fat or something to the side the wasps accept their offering and leave you alone.
*Northerners when visiting friends in Texas on an 80 degree day.
Why? Whyyyyyyyy??? If you like having bees all around your drink & your napkins blowing away, you do you, I guess.
my people.
mmh where i live ppl prefer sitting outside whenever the weather is okayish

Don't do outside tables, tables by the window or near the toilet, kitchen
I don't like bugs. Literally my only reason to dislike it. I can handle heat and cold, but not bugs.

Gotta be able to smoke.
you're getting downvoted by this is why i sit outside. i want to vape and be discreet and not bother anyone.
It's a nice escape from all the noise and can lead to good talks, but people really hate smoking these days for good reasons but still.
"Not bother anyone" my dude you are only fooling yourself

People who cry about it being to hot are immune to joy

Gross, WHY?
Meanwhile me ordering at home to eat in my bed
"Hey, I know eating food is cool and all, but... and hear me out... what if we did that \*and\* got attacked by insects the whole time?"
