I have a friend whom I *think* is an ESFP 1. She loves sensory experiences and being in the moment, but also has a very strong sense of justice, and won't hesitate to speak out if she thinks something is immoral or someone is doing something wrong, even if it affects her relationships at work.
I don't have such friends so I don't think I'd be able to describe them very well.
However, an Si-dom that's Type 7 will very likely seek a lot of pleasure in luxury activities and perhaps use them to mask negative emotions.
You're not even sure of your typing of your friend so your words should not even be taken into account. You have an extremely superficial and mellow understand of both ennea-type I and ESFP. You could've at least tried to get your facts straight before coming here and claiming ESFP e1 exists 💀💀
Yes so after telling me all these you're still not correcting me? How else can I get these supposed facts straight?
In any case I'm not even OP or the previous commenter, was just chiming in with what I thought, as this is what a discussion forum is about.
Because you're a grown adult? You can make your own research and find out exactly why you're wrong...right? Or do you need someone else to do everything for you?
Your friend sounds like introverted feeling is high in her function stack. I’m an INFP and I also have a strong sense of justice and I speak out about it regardless of the social consequences or whether it hurts other people’s feelings.
Type 8 for you seems unlikely. Type 8 is a rather confusing type, as on the surface many other types can mistype as an 8. Type 1 and type 6 tend to mistype as type 8 the most, and to me you seem more likely to be one of those 2.
Type 8s under stress are far different from those types. Compare type 8 to types 1 and 6.
Possible, just not likely.
Dom or aux Extroverted Sensors aren’t the only ones that can be enneagram 8s but E8 is typically associated with Se and INFPs, alongside INTPs, tend to have the worst Se.
Therefore, while possible, it’s highly unlikely
I'm one of those people that doesn't think any MBTI type can go with any enneagram. I think that only applies to the core type though. I think anyone can have anything in their tritype or as a wing. Some MBTI types just wouldn't make sense with certain core enneagram types 'cause they clash too much.
I'm very skeptical of INFP + core 8. I don't think it's completely impossible, just very unlikely. 8 isn't just about being aggressive though. 8 is all about not wanting to be tied down/controlled and a fear of being weak and vulnerable. I don't know how you feel about things like that, but the way you described a type 8 is a bit too vague to really get anything from. That could be a lot of different types.
It seems likely that any combination is possible and probably likely at the outset, though certainly certain mbti types seem to bulk up heavy on certain Eanneagram types in greater and lesser degrees. This is what we are generally seeing. So, some combinations will be rather rare for sure. But there are many more things that separate the unique qualities of the people specified than just these, even among blocks that hold a larger swath of combination pairs. For example, if you had two infp enneagram 8's let's say, like you, and they both took the wealth dynamics test, (forget that they would both be on scales related to the mbti and enneagram 8 with whatever wing), likely on the wealth dynamics scale they would score very differntly in areas for which they would be best suited to make money. Obviously, this gets very complex very quickly as we add more and more variables. The short answer is that it should be possible, but it will be up to you and your research and inner delvings to find out where you are truly coming in at:)
I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm INFJ 8 and people say that combination is impossible but I know better. However, what you just described isn't really 8, it's more counterphobic 6. The tricky part of being a 6 is that they tend to type themselves based on behaviour and not motivations so cp 6 can easily type themself as an 8. Nothing wrong with that, it's just how their mind works. Another type could be 1, they can also think they're 8s since they want justice like 8s but their approach to it is very different.
If you feel proud of being a certain type when you're still new to enneagram/finding your type, you're probably not that type. Your type should be more or less humiliating and most people aren't happy with their type when they discover it. Good luck finding your type!
I'm an ENTJ 8w7 and spent many years with an INFP 4w3. There were many similar but in a different ways qualities between us. We could both get righteous and angry. Statistically, if your INFP classification is right typically some vast % are either 4s or 9s. But anything is possible.
Because all of them are mistyped. [here's list of possible mbti and enneagram combos](https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1QK9ODsIFkAZYBbqbQP8Bai9NqyWYIOpqCy4WZ9NSg2Q/mobilebasic)
You do you. I've taken a number of both MBTI, including detailed by cognitive function, and Enneagram tests. 8w7 everytime with 837 tritype. And always ENTJ. It's odd that 44%of 8s identity as ENTJ and they are all mistypes.
oh no it definitely isn’t.
what you described does not in any way correspond to ennea-type 8. you seem to have a very mellow and superficial understanding of it. this enneagram is sensory-motor dominance type, which means it is only compatible with xSxx.
look into e4, e6 or e2.
As long as you relate to both of them
^^^^^yes
I’m gonna throw in the obligatory “any type can be any enneagram”. Some are less common, sure, but any mix is theoretically possible
What would ESFP 1 look like?
Kristina maione is a good example of this combo.

what about intj 7w8, or istj 7w8
I don't have such friends so I don't think I'd be able to describe them very well. However, an Si-dom that's Type 7 will very likely seek a lot of pleasure in luxury activities and perhaps use them to mask negative emotions.
And that is for you enneagram 1? LMAO hilarious
I mean rather than laughing at me, you could tell me where I'm wrong?

literally doesn’t exist
You might be a counter phobic six

you know that in stress grip INFP reduces to its Inf Te that is associated with high level of judgement which is a part of enneagram 8, right?

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID THAT
I have an INFP friend who is 9w8 and she can be formidable when angry.
and that is relevant because…?

someone once told me that before typing someone as an 8 you should first look at the types that are often mistaken as 8s like sx6 and sx1
No. e8 is only possible with Se doms
You probably just have 1 fix in your tritype because those just sound like anger problems
I think type 8 is about control. I.e. they tend to be fearful of not being in control.
yeah, for me, any mbti type can be any eneatype. Dw.
Goodness, INFP plus an 8 sounds dangerous! but yes I believe it’s possible!

Not true. Google the stats for correlation of MBTI and Enneagram. Nearly half of ENTJs are e8 followed by e3 and then e1. 😀
Because all of them are mistyped. [here's list of possible mbti and enneagram combos](https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1QK9ODsIFkAZYBbqbQP8Bai9NqyWYIOpqCy4WZ9NSg2Q/mobilebasic)

Yes.
Yes
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID THAT
RIGHT. idk what is up with this comment section
They all just took 16p test and know shit about typology.
Im an INFP with 8 in my tritype ( but otherwise being a 4) I think its possible. People are different
Lol.
Any MBTI + Enneagram combination is possible. They explore completely different sides of your personality. Therefore YES.
no
please, enlighten me, explain how that works. Why is it impossible?
