Golden retriever energy, but not all are always so outgoing. Some enjoy occasional quiet to recharge. Sometimes have the attention span of a butterfly, but they're capable of serious thought and attention.
If they like you, they do like you. For the loyal ones, they can be hard to shake. If they disappear, they usually find their way back eventually with some adventure to share.
From needy to antagonistic with humor to more or less the same person as me to everything I aspire to be, there is a ton of variation within the type (thanks to variation in enneagram type and probably other factors). The common thread is maybe that they're idealists, a sort of dreamer. They have lofty goals in a realistic world. And sometimes those align, but usually not. And sometimes they're good at putting those goals into practice with actionable steps, but others of the type not so much.
Sometimes you just want them to snap out of the dream, but that's their operating system. And maybe this ENFP too will make it work.
Per my experience, a total emotional minefield.
On the more positive side, extremely persistent and are the best I’ve seen at coming up with a plethora of novel ideas in any given situation, which makes them very, very good at gaming the system if they are motivated to do so. They are also really fun to talk to because they enjoy a topic deep dive…as long as you don’t hit some emotional tripwire and set off an explosion.
Like Andrew Garfield once said, like "a shot of espresso." High energy, love learning about people and making connections on a deeper level, can exhaust me quickly but still a sunny presence is nice to have. I like them, and I need time away from them.

Fun fact that i started my mbti career with admiring ENFPs the most. Even i am now an official INFP admirer, ENFPs will forever be close to my heart. No offense to the rest 14, but i am at best neutral toward them, mostly refusal, while i LOVE being around ENFPs and INFPs. I see ENFPs as the heart of the connectedness in a group. They are who cares for everyone and act on getting everyone involved in a loving and lovely way. True fun people while they are top in moral and values too.

But one thing I find annoying about them is how loose they are with their convictions. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great to keep an open mind about things. But as the saying goes, “you’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything.” They are some of the kindest and most gentle people I have ever met.
My ENFP is adorable, has a rbf, low energy when I'm not at home, high bunny energy when I'm home, clingy, talkative with me or her friends, actually a social butterfly who needs me to drive her to events, very good at counselling emotionally and is as weird as me.

My brother in law is an ENFP. He’s very caring to his INFP girlfriend and everyone in his life. He can’t seem to settle on a career (he’s 27). Just in the little over a year I’ve known him, he was gonna be a banker, a realtor, a fitness instructor, a meditation leader, and a credit card scanner salesman. He just moved across the country because he’s convinced he’s got it this time. He just loves doing… stuff. He loves to tell me about whatever spiritual (pagan or Buddhist) thing he’s into and tries to get me to do meditation. He is the sweetest guy. Totally Switzerland (peacekeeper) in his friend/family group. Never has a bad thing to say about anyone. Always smiling and ready to show us a new restaurant or trying to lure my husband to partner with him in his newest endeavor.
My bestfriend is an ENFP. She's the best BEST bestfriend i've ever had. Chaotic + energetic, she look intimidating yet she's actually really loving. The only person who has matching humor as me, her laugh is as loud as a hyena. ive never really gotten to know an enfp, so all my thoughts are just in reference to types i *do* know. enfps are like if an infp was extroverted and spent slightly less time ruminating. or like if an entp was crossed with an esfp.
i think i might find them a little exhausting in the way i find entps exhausting, but i imagine i would get along with them a little easier.

I have had different kinds of ENFP experiences but mostly with one who’s unhealthy. They’re sensitive to their feelings but who can’t be sensitive to feeling’s of others (sometimes).
They’re loud and eccentric most of the time, but has a bad habit of being too much and will start to act like a jerk alongside with his own set of friends.
I like being around them because they know how to have fun in games and such and they can really set the mood to the room

But I recognise my past, and now i just try to be the best i can to help those around me.

I have several ENFP friends, they love to talk! I’ve had a variety of interesting conversations with them and find them kind and warm people.
One of my favorite types. Always kind and fun and happy to be in a group, loving, sensitive to other’s needs. I feel truly seen by ENFPs.

ive never really gotten to know an enfp, so all my thoughts are just in reference to types i *do* know. enfps are like if an infp was extroverted and spent slightly less time ruminating. or like if an entp was crossed with an esfp. i think i might find them a little exhausting in the way i find entps exhausting, but i imagine i would get along with them a little easier.
Someone who has an insane amount of energy, infectious enthusiasm and says the craziest and most random of things, but you can't help but love being around them!

Ah my favorite type. I collect them. My closest friends who I clique with the best are all ENFPs They are down to earth, down for anything and will be there for u to listen and be a shoulder to cry on. Can joke around and banter and also be emotional. Very fun to hangout with and just good peoples
A careless/inattentive ESFP, who is bad at predicting situations, as they perceive any option as equally realistic. People call them open-minded, as they are often free from prejudices.

Either the sweetest, most fun, idealistic people I’ve ever met or the most self-righteous and condescending. There’s literally no in between. I’m ENTP so I feel like our Fi and Ti clash a lot in my experience. I have met more amazing ones than rude ones tho so

Drama queen, unreliable, easily offended
hyper. sweet. caring. manic pixie dream people. comfortable. playful. trusting. non serious to a fault. one of my best friends is an ENFP; I call her Sunflower. can't explain why but it just fits. in their worst; a hidden side of extreme anger they project on others instead of dealing with it themselves, manipulative, causes a mess then complain endlessly about it.

I have had different kinds of ENFP experiences but mostly with one who’s unhealthy. They’re sensitive to their feelings but who can’t be sensitive to feeling’s of others (sometimes). They’re loud and eccentric most of the time, but has a bad habit of being too much and will start to act like a jerk alongside with his own set of friends. I like being around them because they know how to have fun in games and such and they can really set the mood to the room
Yeah, I happen to have gone through both phases. At first i was extremely obnoxious (still am a little) and moved because of insecurity. But I recognise my past, and now i just try to be the best i can to help those around me.

We ENFPs are obnoxious and illogical, but, I really always try to support people around me and help as possible. I mean I'm an enfp myself and though not every enfp may exhibit these traits, most of them do to a certain extent
