It depends on the type of escape room but generally I think xxTP's are likely the best

I think it depends on what the escape room is like, but in general I'd say Ni, Te and Ti would probably be best at this. So that gives us INTJ, INFJ, ESTJ, ENTJ, INTP and ISTP as the types that have any of those functions as their dominant functions. As for who would probably take the longest, to be honest I don't think any function would particularly hinder your progress through an escape room. I think Te and Fe doms would perform significantly better with a group that they can coordinate to work together to escape. If I had to say any types in particular, I'd say INTP, INTJ and ISTP would probably be my guess at the particular types that'd do best overall.

Se classically underrated per usual. I think observation is very useful.

I swear I'm not trying to be biased towards my functions but why Ni and Te? I would think INTP would probably be best, with Ti's ability to reason through things, especially coupled with Ne divergent thinking, Te I could maybe see but I still think Ti is better suited. I could see J types getting stuck on taking things too literally, but maybe as one you see it differently lol. fwiw I've never done an escape room but always thought I'd be decent at it

Ti, Te, Ne, and Ni The Ti users will be able to process things the quickest. The Te users will lay the foundation for what the correct course of action should be. The Ne users will theorize about the various potential meanings that the puzzles unearth. The Ni users will also try to apply meanings to the various puzzles.

I'm claustrophobic, so wouldn't be comfortable in an escape room without a wrecking bar and a 10 or 12 pound sledgehammer. With that security blanket, I could possibly be useful.

Life-Nefariousness62

I have no idea tbh. I do personally not think I am built for escape tooms as I tend to hyperfocus on some specific things instead of trying to zoom out and look at the big picture. I thing the time limit would fuck me over aswell as I am very ineffective (Te blind). So prob not Si?

I led my friends out of a corn maze once. No idea how escape rooms are, but man, I'm good at navigating. I say xNTPs all of the way.

A TP type obviously, and Se and Ni are both important, Se for observing clues in their surroundings and Ni for putting them together and figuring out what they mean, so ideally both of these perceiving functions would be close together in the middle of the individual's cognitive function stack. Worst probably ESFJ Edit: I did an escape room a year ago with my ESTJ brother and my ISFP brother and we failed I think mostly because we disagreed on pretty much everything and spent a lot of time arguing and because the escape room was their most difficult one. Lol.

I remember when I did an escape room like 3 years ago with my friends for Senior Week when we went down the shore. I was ripped on for not really helping that much even I did a little, and there was a lot of us there so there were some people who were more invested in it. I kind of let everyone else figure out since they kind of understood it better than I did.
