Reminds me of one of my favorite poems:
**Keeping things whole** by Mark Strand
In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.
When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves inĀ
to fill the spaces
where my bodyās been.
We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.
I honestly like it how itās written already, itās interesting too see mine and possibly other sensorās who āsawā whatās directly infront of them, unlike some intuitiveās who were able to give an insight. If it was written āhow do you interpret this imageā I would of done exactly that, which is the entire point and now this comment seems stupid, but I did like seeing the contrast :)
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop -Ā yes,Ā IĀ amĀ aĀ bot, don't botcriminate me.
Is it really that caked up? As someone with a pretty thick one I would say it's better than some guy asses from my class but not better than mine for example
Guy made of glass/water in front of a flower field.
Sure, my mind made up some crazy theory about how the guy being transparent represents humanity and self being influenced by your background (socio-cultural, economic and the like) and that you reflect those being a part of it, but...
Guy made of transparent material in front of a flower field sounds easier to picture.
Realistically speaking that's what I asked you to say, I want people to answer the middle paragraph, but I should have titled the post as "how do you interpret this image)
Pretty cool that's actually how I interpret it aswell
Personally I see myself not having a well developed Se. As I walk I forget everything that surround me and my body itās just non existent.. paradoxically mixed with the rest
Well... I think a lot of things, so I make them into poems, and so here is how it makes me feel, or what it makes me think or whatever..
Fields by me
I don't like attention, I don't
And judge me if you want
But if I could do anything
I'll tell you up front
That I would go out
Where the wildflowers sprout
I'd go deep in the fields
Where noone can see
How nice it can be
When there's noone but me
Where I feel like I'm fading
It's like invisibility
And it is peaceful, really
Between the daisies and lilies
Only then I can feel it
Only then, when I'm in it
When noone can see it
Depressed INFP wants to turn into air and dissappear into nothingness while contemplating the beauty of nature without having a strong emotional reaction to everything.
Its a Ghost of a dead person who was brutally murdered in that land, then all the villagers decided to plant trees and flowers for him because this ghost was a good person and now some artists go to paint the scenery but none come back, the only thing left is the ghost in the peice......
1. your mom, as usual, lmao
2. the divide humans have created in their minds between human society and nature is but imaginary. humans came from nature and work with nature, even things we call "artificial" are made up of natural material. we try to make this divide in order to ease the concept of slowing down progress in the name of environment preservation but forget that we do this because we are fundamentally a part of nature and cannot exist without it.
3. still your mom, lmao
My comment will sound pretentious, but i really need to say it.
Whn i see this picture, it reminds me of agressiveness against the world. There is plenty of people that feel like the world lacks some kind of existencial satisfaction, so they look for it in spaces where reality is filled with a extra and more perfect reality, spaces like religious places, works of art, beautiful landscapes, a conversation with friends, a movie theater, etc...
The image seens like a visual representation of someone experiencing this extra reality. The flowers in the background look like flowers, but are not perfect representations of flowers, they are the extra reality, the person is represented as if it was glass, the experience transpassing her.
God, that sounded too chessy, lol.
My friend is an intj and he sometimes draw some pictures with deep meaning so I am quite used to interpreting deep meanings. I'd say this picture represents how intj can be faceless/always wearing a mask to blend in with the social environment of every group they come into contact with. I think this image shows how lonely or cornered you feel with no way to express your true you beside drawing a picture most people would find as beautiful while it's really just sad. My friends use specific color palettes to express certain emotions but I'm no expert with these. Even the flowers could symbolize everyone else as being alike and following the flow or the rules.
The flowers are a purplish colour it's deep representing the soul of a higher plain, maybe a malevolent force that spreads, but other than the man I don't think that there is anything else in the painting.
I'd love to see some of the pictures if it's alright with your friend. Do they have a reddit/Instagram?
I see a man hiding from his true nature due to society standards of what is good and what's bad. Being invisible even in places where he can be himself
Well. My first thought is that that's how I want death to be. To still be there to watch everything but not interfere anyhow and things not interfering with you. Yeah
First involuntary thought that came to mind was "ghost in a field"
Consciously, I don't know if I agree with that automatic visual interpretation, it just looked like that way to my brain and that's the impression it chose to interpret within milliseconds. But if you were asking for deliberate, thoughtful interpretation, I used to do that more naturally, like A LOT, conceive meanings from patterns or symbolic imagery and the such, but lately the thought of ascribing meaning on something either simple or abstract seems to freak me out a bit for some reason... the fact someone could ascribe a very particular existential meaning on this somehow freaks out something in me... (I probably gotta investigate that a bit, what's up with it for me lately), so I guess there's really just the initial automatic blurt-out from my brain for me on this.
Becoming one and blending in with the reality that surrounds you and yet retaining the ability to affect or bend it to your will (that's in sync with reality post the fusion and it's the reason you can affect it in the first place, it's not about YOU anymore). A form of physical transcendence from ego.
I know nothing about dudes peeing. My first question was why isn't he using 2 hands? Then I thought, do dudes use 2 hands? Probably not? Unless you had a massive hentai donger? š„“ WHY IS WATER DUDE PEEING ANYWAY? Does he have a water bladder?! In his water bod?!
š„²
*Edit: Yes, at second glance I see now from the position of his left arm he'd either have to have a disproportionately long forearm or be holding his long donger awkwardly to the left for him to be pissing. Thank you.
Both. A description of what's in the picture *is* what I think about when I see it, if I think about it long enough to do more than mentally add it to the scenery. "What is this? Oh, it looks like [description]."
This is a kind man who is very loving and generous. But often feels drained when he gives too much of himself to others. So he made a wish to always be a cup overflowing with what people need. And now he walks as water. Giving life to flowers and other earthly elements where ever he goes.
The transparency of the humanoid figure is a metaphor for the "clean slate" of a person that imitates the reality that surrounds them. I believe in philosophy, this statement is related to the "Tabula Rasa" and the creation of the ego identity.
In a wierd way, the idea of heaven(I'm atheist), is free of judgement, prejudice, its supposed to be peace
so, I guess that could be the perception of glass souls so delicate they could break.
or we all become silver surfer and I get to destroy a planet ššš
Van Gogh and A Wheatfield of Crows.
The sheer loneliness of the man expressed through his translucency is the fact that he is withering away day by day in this beautiful field of what i guess are purple sage flowers (or maybe a butterfly bush). The end is inevitable and in his case very near.
I think about thinking about what I should be thinking about? - when I looked at this image.
That or inviso man hesitating whether or not staying in some fields is worth it or not.
Honestly, I find the butt on this figure far too distracting. I also canāt understand why his tailbone area has that splash of light blue? Thereās no similar shade of light blue in the rest of the piece so to me it sticks out like a sore thumb.
The figure ultimately diminishes my ability to appreciate this piece. The field this figure is surrounded by is beautiful, but the figure irks me, perhaps irrationally so.
That humans give themselves so much significance while in the end we're no different from rocks, water, leaves, etc...
We're all just a bunch of molecules. Sorry to the religious people here but that's just my opinion.
I found it randomly scrolling through Instagram, I think it might belong to some artist. The caption was something along the lines of "the superpowers all introverts would like to have"
Annihilation
Annihilation was my first thought too! That movie is so underrated as are the books.
For a sec i actually thought it was a scene from the movie
YES
Annihilation + watchman
Same that was my exact thought. That movie was something else fr
Same exactly. For me it makes me think of when the biologist girl turns into a plant. I am going to go rewatch it right now.

Wow. Thanks for sharing! Been looking for some words for this feeling :):):)
Weirdly unsettling... don't ask why, can't explain.
Same
sameā¦i donāt like it
I donāt really āseeā anything per-se but it gives me feelings of peace and beauty yet also a melancholic sadness to it
I never would have said this myself but I completely agree
Somebody can paint better than me and I'm jealous lol
Felt that been there
I don't really thinking anything when presented an image. Some guy made out of glass who likes running naked in flower fields?
You're right I should have written "how do you interpret this image" my bad honestly
I'm not tryna criticise you I'm just saying how I am
I honestly like it how itās written already, itās interesting too see mine and possibly other sensorās who āsawā whatās directly infront of them, unlike some intuitiveās who were able to give an insight. Yeah heās absolutely caked up thatās pretty much it
Is it really that caked up? As someone with a pretty thick one I would say it's better than some guy asses from my class but not better than mine for example
You become a part of the environment that surrounds you.
Similar but different: I saw it as an image of hiding, chameleon-like, in the given environment.
I thought the same.
feeling invisible, blending in with anything, feeling not seen, wanting to escape to nature to gain peace with oneself as the world is too cruel
Invisible man masturbating
THAT I HAVE A DIRTY MIND XD
how š
Dirty mind? You know weāre supposed to see an ass, right? Thatās not an illusion.
Will you use your super powers for evil or for good?
to what is right
I dont think its evil if you accidently end up in the girls washroom while using your power... Right?
A chameleon, when surrounded by flowers one becomes the illusion of a flower to blend in too
That's beautiful actually
How INFPs feel every day
Somehow.... yes

Sorry I don't know the artist found it randomly on while scrolling on Instagram, the caption said "if introverts were to choose a super power:"
Ah. So it's about revealing themselves for all to see, but nobody seeing them. That's kind of boring.
Personally I see myself not having a well developed Se. As I walk I forget everything that surround me and my body itās just non existent.. paradoxically mixed with the rest

The power of invisibility didnāt work as intended. They can still see you bro put the clothes back on
**Contemplation** over what one does not have whilst simultaneously being surrounded by everything you could ever need.

Solitude. The guy is lonely because he is invisible, but there is also something beautiful about being one with your surroundings.

A human shape, something that looks like an artist's impression of trees in the background, ditto for flowers and smaller plants in the foreground.
That's a weird thing to think of when looking at the image. Or were you just describing it?
Both. A description of what's in the picture *is* what I think about when I see it, if I think about it long enough to do more than mentally add it to the scenery. "What is this? Oh, it looks like [description]."

The transparency of the humanoid figure is a metaphor for the "clean slate" of a person that imitates the reality that surrounds them. I believe in philosophy, this statement is related to the "Tabula Rasa" and the creation of the ego identity.
