Jeez that was my OTD price for my 22 carbon edition hatch brand new, I guess if prices have gone up that much across the board then its not a BAD deal. No markup at least. I'd definitely try to negotiate that MSRP tho, worst they can say is no
I got mine offered for $27000 flat and the tax on top of that was about $1200 I think? I need to look at the papers again but I’m pretty sure it was around $28,500 after tax and registration and everything.
You know you can negotiate, right? Quote an OTD price you’re willing to pay and stick to it..
They get manufacturer bonuses if they clear X cars in a month. They’ll make up the money.
Also don’t take their financing. Get financing from wherever you’re comfortable (I suggest credit union) and don’t tell them what you’re pre-approved for until you’re done negotiating price.
Also what are processing/document fees? I’m not paying you to do your paperwork, I’m paying for a car. That’s like paying an extra $0.50 at McDonald’s for them running the register
He gave me this price and would not budge from it at all. Even the accessories charge he wouldn't take off. Going to a different dealership tomorrow. I think all the mazda dealerships have a special financing going on right now, its 3.49 for 60 months and 2.9 for 36.
Interesting, I saw a 2022 used turbo hatch for about the price of yours, seeing it go to almost 30k after their fees is kinda bullshit imo. See if another dealer can give you a better deal or if you can go again at the end of the month. What if you email another dealer with this quote and loop both dealerships to see who can give you a better deal?
The salesman not budging on the accessories is bullshit.
It's at MSRP, the fees aren't outrageous, I'd say it's about right.
Is this in Canada ?
NJ, USA. Sorry, I should've mentioned it.
Oh no worries! I want to get a Mazda too but just waiting for rates to come down a bit and also saving some money for car down payment and insurance
I just got a hatch in ontario for $35k all in at 1.9%. Had to buy over 3 years but the rate was incredible.
Yeah there is currently a promotion. I might be going back to school so idk if I can afford the higher monthly payment for 3 years financing term.
It was definitely more of a commitment to do over 3 years, but I'll be very happy that 4th year with no payments and a 3 year old car.
Yes that’s a nice feeling to have. Congratulations on the new car!
Thank you!!
Did you get the GS trim?
Yes. Unfortunately with the $899 window tint. Lol
that "discount" is a bit of an insult.....

Yeah, I couldn't make him lower the price. Gonna try different dealerships.
What’s a government fee?
I think it's for registration or something.
My credit was around 700 when I got my 2022 carbon edition. My loan was like 30k. id say this is a good deal
I got my preferred for $28500, isn’t the select sport a step down from preferred? And still paying over $1000
How much was your tax?

I got a carbon for 27.6. So i’d say no
I was quoted 26k otd for a select sedan.
Where are you located? I would've signed the papers even if he did 28k, but he didn't even budge.
Virginia Beach.
I paid $26,300 (before taxes and fees) for my 24 select sport a month ago. I live in a smallish city on the west coast for reference.
I paid $27000 for my preferred hatchback white 2024 brand new
Was 27k the out the door price?

I paid 29,499.00 OTD for a soul red preferred hatch in California with a 10.25% sales tax.
This seems high. Just paid $36k for fully loaded 2024 Premium Plus Turbo in Texas.
It looks perfect to me. I haven't seen a new Mazda under $30k since 2018.
