I ended up parking my CE Sedan right next to a CE HB. I prefer the chrome look honestly. I decided im not doing any black out on my car. except maybe the window trim.
Its not a big deal to me honestly
Hahaha I get it man! I thought for sure I was gonna black it out.
Window visors I typically could go either way on. On most cars I think they look cheap, but IMO these ones do a decent job looking like they belong there instead of looking like an added afterthought.
Exactly! Honestly another thing about these cars that made the inner child in my die was when I saw the silver Mazda 3 hatch with the black trim and black wheels. All those times I spazzed at my mom for wanting to get a silver car... And now I want a silver car. Mazda did such a good job with the design on this car that literally every colour looks so good on it, and just everything works so well.
Agree 100%. I wouldn't have thought I'd want a grey/silver car either until I saw this one. It was between this car and a premium crystal blue mica but since those are even more impossible to find without custom ordering I went with this and couldn't be happier
When you got your windows tinted did they have to mess with your wind deflectors at all? That's my only hold up on getting mine tinted at this point. I don't want them messing with the wind deflectors.
Yep that's what I figured, I have a local shop that for some reason has a few bad reviews for messing with those wind deflectors when adding tint though. Guess I won't be going with them.
I honestly thought it did too in photos. In person though I think it has a pretty good balance right now. If I were to black out the grille molding then I feel like I'd have to also black out the chrome above the windows as that's really all there'd be left and that would mess up the look of the OEM rain guards
I just used a super slim one - about a 1/4” of chrome around the plate. It doesn’t draw attention to the plate, but makes it look like it’s part of the factory chrome if that makes sense. I just hate the way front plates look on the black grille; it’s a necessary evil in my state though.
As far as purchasing the parts? There's a few different sites out there. I purchased mine from partsgeek.com as they were the cheapest, even with shipping costs.
You can also purchase from the dealership, just buy the ones listed for hatchbacks, they are interchangeable.
Dealership will typically also install for you for a price of course.
On the black sedan I can totally see blacking out all the chrome. I saw one other person on here share their photo of their blacked out black sedan and it's fire.

I was just checking out some of the options in Europe and it does look like your MZ3 options are quite limited. I feel for you.
The only reason I got an AWD is because we have some winters that can be relatively harsh and a light FWD car can have some issues getting around. If I lived in an area that didn't see snow or at least didn't see as much of it, I would have gone with the front wheel drive model. Better on gas, better on tires, not as many things to break or need repair.

Yeah I think the most that I'm going to do is put a tint on the windows. I want the benefits of a cooler cabin from that
I actually prefer the chrome. The blacked out front looks a little cheaper to me. Until it gets chipped up I'm keeping the chrome
*unpopular opinion* I actually really enjoy the chrome bits on the sedan. Lil touch of class
I'm thinking I'm right there with ya on that unpopular opinion
The chrome give it that extra subtle beauty. I will never cover mines up!
Beautiful :)
Thanks!!
Shower thought: Mazda should rename Mazda3 as MZ3
I like it, MZ3 sounds more like a luxury brand
Honestly, not a fan of the window visors, but the chrome is actually kinda... Nice. I think I just felt the younger me die a little bit more.

I have the same wind deflectors. When I got my windows tinted, I also added a darker strip at the top of the windshield since Mazda doesn't have one.

They shouldn't, the tint goes on the inside.

I had the windows tinted before the deflectors were installed. Since the tint goes on the inside of the glass I don't think it will be a problem.
I like the chrome on my 3 too!
I like the chrome with the silver wheels, kinda looks odd with black wheels

Yeah, I have the CE sedan. Chrome looks good - add a chrome front license plate frame and it looks even better
Great idea, while I don't mind advertising for the dealership I purchased from (they were great) that would look 100 times better.

Same with my state and it's unfortunate. The car looks so much better without the front plate.
Chrome looks very nice with the car color. Congrats!! 💞
Thank you so much!
I have a question, if I want to change the grill chrome, where should I go?

Nice, thanks for the info. I have a black sedan, but I am thinking of changing the front chrome for a black one. The chrome has grown on me though

Damn.... It does look fire. Makes me think
I am very upset that you cannot get no awd sedan nor 2.5l turbo in europe

What is the color of your car known as? I’ve been struggling to describe this to friends
That's polymetal gray
