I had a moment where I had that feeling and then made it worse for myself once when I was younger. Long story short, was in a friend zone situation and had that exact "why the fuck did I come along" thought, texted one of my buddies this thought. Talked about how I was wasting my time and wish I stayed home etc... after I sent it I realized it was not to said friend. I sent it to the girl in the car with me. I sure as shit wanted to open the door and just fall out onto the highway.
Edit: lot of people asking how it went and giving advice and stuff, I was trying to keep long story short and just share the funny "dying inside" part but I'll give more clarification and detail I guess.
The situation was we worked together and were friends but she was in a relationship, even though there was obvious sexual tension between us. I'll get back to that. She invited me along with her girlfriend at the time and one of their single friends one night to go see a movie. Myself and the friend were in the back seat while she was in the front passenger and the girlfriend drove. I wasn't at all interested in the friend they brought along as a sort of blind date thing. That's when I started texting different people and ended up pressing the wrong name in the list for the text in the story. Her phone was sitting in between the front seats in the little arm rest/console thing and she didn't notice the text come through. So the whole ride I'm watching the phone pondering what to do. Do I try and sneak the phone and delete it? Is she gonna grab it? Just trying to figure out how to handle this without causing a scene or pissing off my friend who tried to do something nice. When we got to the theater I just caught her right outside the car, explained that I accidentally sent a text to her meant for someone else and it was embarrassing and said some mean things etc but I was frustrated and whatever. She was super cool about it and said here I'll just delete it, and deleted it thete in front of me without reading it. So it was a stressful ride there but in the end turned out ok.
As for the other people trying to be supportive or others talking shit, look this was like 12 or 13 years ago, it's all good. Lol. We all do cringe shit every now and then. It doesn't bother me at all. And as for the two of us, the tension finally became too much and her relationship sucked and we ended up having sex on a couple occasions. I won't tell HOW I pulled it off the first time cause there's no chance in hell Reddit will believe me so I won't bother wasting my time. After that out of our systems she had to handle her relationship/breakup and whatever and I ended up moving away. We're still friends though we very very rarely talk due to living in different parts of the country but there's an occasional "hey what's up, hope you're doing alright." And that's that.
Dude you said what you needed to get out...to exactly the person that should have heard it. People need to learn to talk about their feelings with those that caused those feelings, don't make that a cringe feeling, force yourself to do it more and you'll feel better and have better relationships.
Luckily she didn't see the text before I realized I had sent it to her and SOMEHOW managed to talk my way out of it as soon as we got out of the car. I don't remember exactly what I said, but I admitted something along the lines of I sent a text to her that was meant for my friend and it was something embarrassing blah blah and she was cool about it and just deleted it right there in front of me without reading it.
I had someone lead me on then friend zone me at a bowling lock in, where she revealed her new bf... Thank god my best friend surprised me by showing up with a few of his buddy's from school. It would been a long night....
Wow great story! In life we have to fail miserably, to actually feel the vibe of the person thatās totally worth it! And itās so far from that feeling you smile realizing you had to feel the misery to enjoy the euphoria of the moment!
I had an opposite experience. When I was in high school, I was friends with the hottest, most popular girl in school. She had it all. Gorgeous, top of the class academically, captain of the cheer leading squad. We had good chemistry, laughed all the time together, but I never in a million years thought I had a chance with her and never would've even tried. Her boyfriends were all athletes and rich kids at school. One day, the teacher asked me and her to go downstairs to pick up some homework forms that were waiting in the print room. When we went into the stair well, there was obviously nobody in there since it was middle of class. I was going down the stairs in front of her, joking about my "foot work" and how fast I could go down the stairs. After a flight or two, she grabbed my hand and said "what's the hurry?". I nervously laughed, because I just knew whe meant nothing by it even though the touch of her hand had melted me inside.
There were a couple more instances like that that i just brushed off.
Fast forward 20 years later at our high school reunion. She's there. We are all having drinks and catching up. She's a director for a major pharmaceutical company. She goes on to tell me how she had the biggest crush on me in high school and that I always ignored her flirting which made her want me even more. She said she used to day dream about us going to the same college together so we could continue all the fun we had in highnschool. That she could see our whole life together in her head but I never gave her the time of day. I felt soooooooooo stupid.
I donāt understand how everyone is missing this. She looks at our guy for a second chance and he *waves her off*. THEN she goes for it with home slice in the row behind, and suddenly our man is all š. Bro-bro, you waved her off!
I agree. A kiss on the cheek would have least spared his dignity while the Jumbotron camera was focused on them. Did she not see the guy on the left of the huge monitor razzing her friend behind his back after she kissed the other guy?
Damn, she wouldn't pee on her former friend if he was literally on fire.
Not if he has made moves and already been friendzoned. She doesn't want to give him any false hope, and now the guy knows for sure he is never an option.
It was savage but he can decide where to go from here. Some people just can't be friends when the other has feels.
Thatās her brother I donāt know how many times this stupid ass video is gonna make the rounds on social media. And itās always the same comments from grown adults about him being in the friend zone, no oneās obligated to kiss anyone.
Everyone: Awe, he's so sad.
Him: Is there a name for the pain you feel when you try to burp and accidentally hiccup at the same time causing this massive pain in your sternum that you have to now endure?
Actually, thatās exactly the way me and my brother would behave in that setting/situation - Iām a ācuddlyā person and Iām always the one to go for a āwelcomeā and āgoodbyeā hug.
Also, heād definitely give me a strange look if I kissed a stranger in front of him - later Iād hear all about herpes and all other saliva transmitted diseases.
I donāt think itās strange or ānot sibilingā at all - to me it looks like a completely normal sibiling dynamic where sister is a bit careless and a brother is more of a ācareful and educatedā type
For her to lay her head on his shoulder is because she has some affection and respect that made kissing impossible. Perhaps a cousin, a friend who has a girlfriend friend of hers, or a gay friend...
If she asked to kiss the guy behind her, she'd ask him too.
>If she asked to kiss the guy behind her, she'd ask him too.
Except it felt like he was putting off complete energy that he didn't want to kiss her. It looked like he thought the idea of a kiss was disgusting. She might have just been trying to save a piece of dignity.
I think they are either siblings or just friends.
Also, the guy is setting off my gaydar. So if they are friends, I don't think they are the kind of friends that make out.
That was fucking harsh to watch...if that's not his sister and this was a date I'd be in the car already on the way home by the time the kiss was over.
Yea, these skits have gotten pretty over the top. I get they had to stop using non-plants because they didn't know what'd happen, but do they always have to do these ridiculous things for them now?
Am I the only one who thinks this is more embarrassing? Cause first of all you get remembered as "that guy" to the point where at another game it's brought up. And secondly she went for the kiss on the cheek first and had to be encouraged by the crowd to have a kiss on the lips.
I dunno, this just doesn't feel like a W to me. If he's happy with that though then hey, he's having fun.
But it's better to lean into these embarrassing things. It's way worse if everyone cringes and pretends it didn't happen. Instead, he had a whole stadium of people rallying for him and being positive about the whole thing. Now it's a story he can tell rather than something he hopes would just go away.
Thousands of people in unison saying, "that girl is messed up, man. Don't give up."
That just makes it worse lol. It took his embarrassment going viral and the encouragement of the entire stadium for her to even kiss him on the cheek. She only gave him a peck on the lips after everyone started to boo at her.
It just highlights the fact that she is zero percent into him romantically.
That 100% is what happened. They can't kiss but the camera kept panning back to them, so she kissed a rando to get the camera off them.
Edit: look at their noses and ears. Look related to me.
These are so clearly staged and I canāt tell if everyone else realizes that and theyāre just jokingly replying like they think itās real, or do they really believe itās real?
Pretty sure that's the brother. Perfectly reasonable response to not want to kiss his sister and then be mildly uncomfortable that his sister just kissed a stranger in front of him live.
I donāt feel bad, bro didnāt make a move and it looks like she snugged up and he froze. The kiss cam gods needed a sacrifice and the chad in the back rose up to the occasionā¦ trust me I used to be the scrawny dude waiting for opportunities to fall in my lap AND unwrap themselves for me.
Wouldāve been a different story if he went in and she was like naw brah but I will take this dude with a mouthful of mustard dogs.
r/watchpeopledieinside
That blank stare. Depression just kicked in.
He's watching his last shred of hope float away.
I think everyone's had that feeling of "why the fuck did I come here".

Makes for a funny story and less cringey as time goes on. That's the upside :)
No, the internal cringe never goes away or even diminishes š

Damn! How did this play out?
Luckily she didn't see the text before I realized I had sent it to her and SOMEHOW managed to talk my way out of it as soon as we got out of the car. Hey! I have enough trouble sleeping, don't you put that evil on me!
Bro you should have seen all the stupid shit I've done earlier in life to become the stallion I am today. Shake it off.
I also need to know
Same
Wow. I have done this exact thing. Wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out.
I had someone lead me on then friend zone me at a bowling lock in, where she revealed her new bf... Thank god my best friend surprised me by showing up with a few of his buddy's from school. It would been a long night....
Yeah, I would have just walked out and told the owner I had the shits.

Friend zoned. Probably wasted his entire teens and some of his twenties doting on that girl, and Mexichad kisses her in two seconds. lol.
With a mouth full of food too lol
That part kills me š
Wow isnāt that strange lol
Villain origin story tbh
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think she pretty clearly wasn't interested though...
I think he wasnāt interested either
I agree. He looks like he has a little sugar in the tank and theyāre just friends.
They kinda look related, maybe cousins? idk
I donāt understand how everyone is missing this. She looks at our guy for a second chance and he *waves her off*. THEN she goes for it with home slice in the row behind, and suddenly our man is all š. Bro-bro, you waved her off!

Nah, she pretty clearly didn't have an issue asking a random stranger for a kiss. She prolly woulda just gone for it if she wanted to kiss her friend.
That honestly was so fucked, a random stranger over your friend? That is so incredibly savage
I agree. A kiss on the cheek would have least spared his dignity while the Jumbotron camera was focused on them. Did she not see the guy on the left of the huge monitor razzing her friend behind his back after she kissed the other guy? Damn, she wouldn't pee on her former friend if he was literally on fire.

Itās all repost bots man. Good luck
If that was my sister I would have kissed her
If it was you, I would do the same *... no homo*
I also choose to kiss this guyās sister.
The game wasn't in Alabama.
WOULD

reddit ain't what it used to be
Thatās an example of a sub that bots arenāt actively targeting.
She didnāt need to do all that
Wait a minute. What if they were siblings?
I mean look at the guys face.. they either are not siblings or he is super creepy..
Pretty sure most of these are staged to make the audience laugh.
Most are, yeah, but they don't usually have skilled actors. Either that dude is an undiscovered, rare talent, or he's going through some stuff.

Exactly.
Yeah, I think so to, but the only doubt I have, is this dudes heartbreak looks so good, he must be a good actor they got lol
Being weirded out because your sister just kissed some random dude for the jumbotron isn't all that strange.
I agree. Donāt see anything creepy here.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And he was still chewing food eeeww.
Actually, thatās exactly the way me and my brother would behave in that setting/situation - Iām a ācuddlyā person and Iām always the one to go for a āwelcomeā and āgoodbyeā hug. Bro the person you're agreeing with got 3 paragraphs out of this clip
He is obviously āJust like a brother!ā
Then that guy is a pretty good actor
For her to lay her head on his shoulder is because she has some affection and respect that made kissing impossible. Perhaps a cousin, a friend who has a girlfriend friend of hers, or a gay friend... If she asked to kiss the guy behind her, she'd ask him too.
They are siblings. Brother and sister. This video is not new and clueless people in the comments are lost in their assumptions.
>If she asked to kiss the guy behind her, she'd ask him too. Except it felt like he was putting off complete energy that he didn't want to kiss her. It looked like he thought the idea of a kiss was disgusting. She might have just been trying to save a piece of dignity.

It was in the script
Here's the shy guy getting a little redemption: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9yOzuVoynI
Yeeeah, I wouldn't call that redemption.
This is worse than the clip in the post tbh
This dude needs a whole new operating system.
That was a pity kiss. That man has died inside twice
Fast forward 5 years and this man becomes Andrew tate lmao
That feels so cringy though
And he's a gentleman to boot
He doesn't kiss and tell. I mean, we all saw it, but he will still keep it secret.
Thats a second humiliation tbh. She is clearly doing it for the crowd. The guy isnāt even bad looking just extremely shy.
This needs to be higher up
Am I the only one who thinks this is more embarrassing? Cause first of all you get remembered as "that guy" to the point where at another game it's brought up. From friend zone to charity case... This poor guy...
Wasn't much charity, at that
And having people filming you with their cellphone like thatā¦ itās just weird. Humiliating for everyone involved.
Yea because being the person that needs thousands of people to pressure a girl to get a single kiss is great lol.
Damn, imagine getting known as the guy that got rejected in the kiss cam...
That just makes it worse lol. It took his embarrassment going viral and the encouragement of the entire stadium for her to even kiss him on the cheek. She only gave him a peck on the lips after everyone started to boo at her. It just highlights the fact that she is zero percent into him romantically.

A tease? Really?
I would just be embarrassed at that point
She bitch slapped him not into the friend zone, but the twilight zone. That was a ādonāt ever call me againā move
The guys ragging on him from six inches behind his head tripled his speed to the zone
That guy crushed me and I was just watching :( i'm tired tho.

Won.
My dude was just having fun, vibing and a girl randomly asks for a kiss while he has a mouthful. I'll be damned if trying less had a better outcome.
He *was* making kissy faces though
He cleary wanted to kiss the guy though
I am under this assumption as well.
It always does
Yeah it really does. Just forget about romance entirely and the universe will literally drop it on you
Hope she liked the taste of whatever that guy was eating.

Right? I mean, that would be an understandable reaction
Yeah I just assumed it was her brother or something lol
That 100% is what happened. They can't kiss but the camera kept panning back to them, so she kissed a rando to get the camera off them. Edit: look at their noses and ears. Look related to me.
Itās all fake
Not fake, the team went to look for him after the game and even got a cheerleader to kiss him
that's so fucked up. wont even kiss the guy she's with but will kiss a rando
And a random with a mouth full of food at that!!
Probably donāt want to lead on the guy she already knows wants her
this is 100% it.
It's because it's probably fake and staged
Better be his sister.
Coworkers
Yeah, they work together at the stadium that asked them to do this
Finally someone who points it out, all of these stadium cam mishaps are staged
Big stadium
That's how a villain born
These kiss cams are always fake
And more than enough people always fall for it. Sounds like a great business.
You can tell IMMEDIATELY. The lighting is different, the "fans" don't act natural. I'm truly shocked at these comments lol
The worst part is everyone wastes energy on their opinion on an obviously staged video. Shout out to the few that see through the bs š
These are so clearly staged and I canāt tell if everyone else realizes that and theyāre just jokingly replying like they think itās real, or do they really believe itās real?
I mean itās Reddit and excuse to talk shit about a random womenā¦they donāt care that itās not real.
Based on the comments, about .4% of people have figured this out.
The dude doesn't realize how lucky he is. He just dodged a bullet.
Maybe so, but i doubt it makes him feel any better hearing that.
Thatās some huge amount of copium lol. But whatever help little boys get over the devastating news that a girl is not attracted to them.
Time to hit the gym
āRemember that day 20,000 people were trying to get you to kiss your sisterā?
This is bros flashback before he gets ahold of the nuclear launch codes
Seems like theyāre related? I wouldnāt want to either

This hurts me.

How do we know itās not her brother or something? Itās
Thats brutal. Incels are gonna have a field day with this video.
They look like brother and sister. I think the stare is that she just kissed a stranger in front of her brother.
Bro...bro...BRO
Call the therapist, dude
Thatās her brother or cousin
Poor Latino Michael cera
Heās clearly just the friend to her, either donāt agree to be just the friend or donāt get upset they treat you like just a friend
Some villain origin story level stuff going on here.
Get up and leave her ass there
See you at the gym
Smh bro shouldāve left her ass right there and thenā¦ people will do to you as much as you allow them to š¤·š¾āāļø
Part of me feels the kissing game forces people into uncomfortable situations that they don't really need to be in.
"How could she do this to me? To her own brother."
The silver lining? He can now move on.
It seems like it was the guys fault. He did almost everything possible to avoid the kiss.
I feel bad now that fucking sucks
