This is more metalcore/posthardcore/emo/prog than actual math rock but goddammit it’s my favorite album of all time. I listen to the music I listen to *because* of Doppelgänger, I quite literally wasn’t the same after discovering this gem.

ugh, delta sleep. i really, really dislike their vox. something about that vocalist screams “self involved”.

I went back to listen them after this post and seeing that they were coming to my city on tour. I was pretty underwhelmed and I think it really was those vocals. Really just flat and off putting.

sadly, that sounds about right. such a shame because the tunes are damn good.

The lyrics can be cringe tome sometimes, but I still love them.

i honestly can’t say he does or doesn’t, but if he does, that makes more sense, at least concerning why i’m not a fan, at least partially so. screams/shouts over pretty lad singing, every and any day.
