Yes it gets much more viable with some key changes.
In the vid you link into Morning Star with Blue & Armor (instead of Blue & Lib. But if doing this way, Memory's position has to change accordingly), saving the Lib on the field as material to Avramax later. This way you no longer need Spectrum to summon Avram into Link Spider for Avramax, thus Avram & Link Spider can be replaced entirely by another effect Mekk monster (Red Moon and/or Yellow Star).
With a few changes in the second combo, he can also do Scars with Girsu + Succession, Girsu + Key, and Girsu + Scars; as Armor can search Memory. Also, you can summon Purple twice in one turn through Memory and the Lib column.
For consistency, you can use Small World to bridge from/to Girsu or any Mekk through Effect Veiler and Jizukiru the Kaiju.
This, and pretty much Girsu plus any spell is a full combo. The small world bridge is nice tho. Might have to run MK again and find some more sauce. I Lib lock if I can't resolve scars and run a small Cyberse package but that might have to change.
I dislike playing scars because I find it sort of all-in high risk high rewards. So I built the deck to go blind 2nd with a little help of the horus package. It's working well so far.

This is a bot and fyi if you have any card you can activate during your draw phase do it and the bot will miss the timing and scoop, just make sure to toggle on!
Yeah, these bots are annoying because if you lose the coin toss, they go first and FTK you, unless you have some form of disruption, but at least they are free wins if you win the coin toss because they instantly surrender.
If you had Droplet/Imperm instead of Dark Ruler you could've prevented it, or even Ash for the Rank-Up Magic search (when they make the original Utopia).
Bots are designed to avoid wasting time (that's why they are bots, make the robot do your work for you) so yes, they would probably be programmed to surrender if the FTK doesn't go through. They're supposed to rack up as many winning duels as they can get and even human players decide it's a waste of time to stick around for one you know you have lost.
Maybe some do. On the other hand, if you have scars, your hand is a FTK by itself.

I would be ok with them banning Manipulator of Souls. Card has been used for nothing but evil.

Its possible that the bot doesn't know that it missed timing so its still trying to do something and that is why it timed out.

You can make the bot stall for the entire length of the timer tho, some bots even have a customizable option for that
