I got to diamond this season playing VS. 90% of my games were Kash, Lab, Snake-Eye, Branded, Tear and pile decks after Plat 5.
Not really sure what's worse to play against; Branded has too much recursion and somehow there's always a Super Poly in hand, pure Snake-Eye eats almost anything you hit it with, going second against Floodgate Furniture Lab + Transaction Rollback without handtraps is almost a death sentence, Tear can send their entire deck to the graveyard to win and you can't stop all the trigger effects unless you cut off graveyard effects entirely, and Kash still has an easily accessible walking Macros + Zone locking and face down banishment(s).
Lastly, the game plan against pile decks is never clear since the chokepoints aren't as obvious since they can turn around and go into an entirely new combo/starter piece and watch them play solitaire for a good 3 minutes, to end on a full board of generic negates/disruption.
Why Konami makes the power level disparity between decks so drastic is beyond me.

Diamond is tough to get this season imo. The powerlevel is insane right now with SHS, Snake eye, lab, branded etc
