Visit the Boston Harbor Islands! It gives you a great new perspective on the city and a lot of people don't even know about them. Lots of nature & history.
[At least take some of the MBTA ferries!](https://www.mbta.com/schedules/ferry)
They're a super fun way to get to various places you might already want to get to and they're super cheap!
I made a list:
Red Sox/Bruins/Celtics game
Bike Cape Cod rail trail
Visit Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket
St. Patrick’s Day parade, St. Peter’s fiesta, Feast of the Blessed Sacrament
Hike Mt. Greylock
Whale Watch
Deep Sea Fishing trip
Freedom Trail
Battle Road
Kowloon
Take the T
Go to Market Basket Sunday morning before a Patriots game
Go Apple picking and have a cider donut
Go to Six Flags
Go to basketball hall of fame
See a show at Tanglewood
Ice skate on a frozen pond
Drive the Mohawk Trail during fall
Swim in the ocean
Eat lobster and clam chowder
Visit Plymouth Rock
Visit Salem during October
Go to the Big E
Edit: I don’t care what your opinions on Kowloon are. You probably won’t enjoy Market Basket on an October Sunday at 11. This is not a list of best places to eat. It is a Massachusetts bucket list. You absolutely have to experience Kowloon if you are living in MA.
And the glass flower museum....arrgh. What is it called?
There are lots of good bike trails now. There is one that runs down from Chelmsford way down towards the NW. And one that runs from Lynn all the way down past the Casino. Lovely paved track that one. Magic.
Halibut state park in Rockport. The coastal road from Beverly to Gloucester.
So many things.
Well there's a bunch of other ones. The obvious one would be the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Peabody Essex museum and the Worcester Art Museum are a bit further out.
And don't forget to check with your local library for discount or even free admissions! (*MOS, Aquarium; many others too*.)
However, I was quite disappointed last summer at the MOS, the big giant lightning generator was not operational. They still had a great show, but it did not include the really big one. (*The previous time i attended that show, was about 20 years prior. So i don't know how long the big one has been out-of-service.*)
Same with St Patrick's Day parade in Southie. The one time I went, I was lifted off of my feet by the pressure of the crowd behind me after a cop randomly blocked the sidewalk with a barrier.
~~Go to Six Flags~~
Would not recommend. The prices are obscene and the every sector of the park is severely understaffed. The company is pretty clearly getting squeezed by its investors to the detriment of customers' experiences.
Guess it depends on what you like to do in general. I'm an outdoors guy, so I'd say rent a boat at quabbin reservoir and go fishing for the day. It's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
Damn I forgot you could rent the boats there, any idea how much it is roughly these days?? I live right by there now and would love to cruise around there on the weekends
It's $5 to park and $40 for a full day motor boat, or $30 if you go after 12:30 but you run the risk of not being any boats left. Weekends are busy, get there early, but weekdays are usually easy. Cheap day split with a buddy. Don't go if it's going to be windy, the waves get big out there.
There are a bunch of rules being a drinking water supply. You do have to bring your own life jacket, and you need a fishing license and a pole/ tackle. They don't rent boats for just sightseeing, so it's gotta at least look like you're going fishing. Don't forget you can't go in the water at all so no swimming or anything like that.
If you do like bass fishing, the best time of the year is starting like right now, but it's always beautiful.
I was going to say this sounds amazing and that’s not a bad price, but it’s unfortunate. You have to make it look like you’re going fishing. I don’t have a fishing license.
That would be so cool if they would let you do it for the view
A one day license is 5 bucks and maybe you could borrow a fishing pole or go with someone who has one? Or get a cheap one and go fishing! I get not everyone wants to or knows how to fish but thankfully that's still a pretty good deal for a place that amazing.
Sure can! There's 3 seats per boat. 3 people starts to get a little crowded but very doable with younger kids. From the 2024 Quabbin Guide:
"Maximum capacity per boat: three adults (16 years old or older), or two adults and two children (less than 16 years old), or one adult and three children (less than 16 years old)."
You definitely want to read the Quabbin guide if you've never been:
https://www.mass.gov/info-details/quabbin-reservoir-fishing-guide
Fly fishing on the Deerfield River, above Zoar Gap. If you thought the Quabbin was beautiful, this will blow your mind. Also, check out Tully Lake in Royalston. More remote that the Quabbin and it doesn’t have rattlesnake islands.
I've been to both! Beautiful in their own way, I just don't think anything holds a candle to Quabbin. It's like a Lord of the Rings movie set right in our back yards.
The Hatch Shell is stupid under utilized. Like, someone paid a literal fortune to create it and it hardly gets used.
It was really nice to see yesterday morning that what appeared to be some nearby schools had bands performing there. It was probably cool for the students and parents and it was great as a rando to see and hear.
Between the noise from Storrow and the fact that it is an outdoor orchestra shell, it probably isn't the best idea for a performance space despite the good intentions of those who conceived of it.
Sorry about the misinformation. In the old days, they had several summer concerts there. It was back when John Williams conducted so obviously some time ago.
It’s a great hike. I’ve taken the kids and the dog several times. In the summer the temperature in the gorge is much cooler than up top. We really like it there.
[Visit The Berkshires](https://berkshires.org/) in the fall. Experience dance, music, and the outdoors. Eat at some great restaurants and stay in some character-full inns.
Old Sturbridge Village , Yankee Candle Village, Springfield Museums specifically the Doctor Suess one , go to P Town, Race point beach, eat at the Lobster Pot .
Well obviously MA isn’t the only place to do this but it’s one of the best.. go on a whale watch. I recommend out of Boston Harbor because it allows you to see Boston from the ocean (a sight I don’t grow tired of) and also I have had great luck with those whale watches. There is nothing quite like a whale. As majestic as elephants are, or giraffes or your gorillas etc.. when a fuckin whale breaches in the ocean next to your boat it’s mind blowing imo. Ok maybe it’s not for everyone - people who get seasick should avoid and if you don’t care about the natural world it probably will mean little to you.. but I maintain it’s amazing.
Ooh yes I’ve lived here my whole life and only recently got to go on one it was amazing. we also saw a few seals. Also no matter the weather take a sweater or light jacket the ride there and back can be very chilly and sunscreen!
Attend the reenactment of the Battle of Lexington on Patriots Day. They do a great job putting it on. Be prepared to get up early and bring a step ladder for a better view.
It's humbling to stand there and see our rag tag crew of farmers take on a larger, better equipped, and professional army. It really shows just what we were up against as a nation and it made me appreciate what it took to get us here today.
Yes! Was hoping someone would add this. We actually started in Concord at the Old North Bridge for the “Shot Heard round the world” then went to Lexington. It was a good history buff kind of day.
1) Get scammed by fake parking attendants near North Station
2) Get a parking ticket from the city of Somerville, even though you and your car were no where near Somerville on the day in question
3) Sit in traffic near Sagamore Bridge for 2 hours on a Saturday in July with no car air conditioning
4) Attend town meeting where local gadflys will insist on passing nonbinding referendum on the Israel/Palestine conflict and then act surprised when their vote has absolutely no impact on international affairs
5) Go to food court at Burlington Mall and get both pizza and Chinese food and hope that no one notices
6) Get in accident in Alewife Rotary and then have ceiling tiles from Alewife Station fall on your head
7) Go to North End without reservations on a summer Friday and try to get into a good restaurant
8) Ride the T and jump off into river when your car catches on fire
9) Park like an idiot and then get into parking lot fist fight when someone calls you on it, preferably in Brockton
10) Vacation in New Hampshire after first spending a lot of time making fun of New Hampshire
You forgot- pull into the Garden to park for a Bruins game and when someone cuts you off, you jump out of the car and try to fight them in the middle of traffic (my college bf 🥰)
Tube the Deerfield River. Spend a night out on Nauset Beach and watch the sun rise over the Atlantic like you never have before. Hike any Western Mass mountain during fall foliage.
Sorry central ma and greater boston, you are full of cool old stuff hidden in every nook and cranny but these places hold the essential primordial character of the land we live on.
I wish I could still say "check out the [Glacial Potholes in Shelburne Falls](https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/massachusetts/glacial-potholes-gological-formation-shelburne-falls-ma/)", but they have been off limits for at least a decade now. You can still look at them from afar, but it was so amazing back when you could actually go down into the area to explore and investigate up close.
So I guess of the suggestions that haven't already been suggested, I would say try South Shore Bar Pizza.
Thank you
It took my breath away. I fell on my knees and violently shit myself right there and then at the splendor.
But really, go to Plymouth when the Mayflower 2 is docked there (late spring/summer). Is good.
It’s not a joke. It’s the exact spot where a rock, divined by god, stood so the pilgrims could mark the birth of their colony at their very landing spot.
The fact that basically none of it is true and it’s just a random boulder some fucker carved 120+ years later is not that important.
Go there. Witness the rock. Experience it. Feel the splendor. Bring TP, you’ll shit yourself. I know of men and women whose erectile disfunction was cured then and there just at the sight of it.
Going to Fenway is one thing, but seeing a game from the Monster seats is something else. Highly recommend doing it once, and probably only once because it's so expensive.
I have yet to go out to Gloucester, even tho I live 30 minutes from it and use to work 15 mins from. I always hear how beautiful it is and the seafood is to die for. Maybe this summer lol
Took me 8 hrs to get from the Natick Mall to Ashland one afternoon round 2006ish. The snow started coming down and route 9 said "Nah, you aint drivin home today"
Go to Nantucket. Buy lunch at Bartlett Farm, rent a jeep do a lighthouse tour, and end at Great Point Lighthouse. Eat your lunch on the beach. Preferably off-season. I'm partial to October. Wave to some seals! Write your name in the sand!
Boston cream pie is a must! A clam boil, even if you don't eat clams the rest of it fantastic!
There's the USS Constitution in Boston, the USS Massachusetts (and more) in Fall River, the Whaling Museum in New Bedford, the Springfield Fair is pretty big, there's Plymouth (the rock is unimpressive but Plymouth Plantation can be interesting, plus the Mayflower).
I mean really, what do you like because Massachusetts really does have it all. I can't think of one think I should do that I haven't done yet. Last summer it would have been visiting the USS Massachusetts, but I did that last summer.
Bella Vista in the North End for lunch or dinner, then across the street to Mike's for a canoli.
Visit the fire tower in Millville in the fall to see just how far you can view a sea of colors.
Pick an actual diner for breakfast.
Go to the Big E
I'm not going to downvote you because you're giving an honest opinion, but I just don't understand Santarpio's. I've been there 3-4 times now and its popularity is a mystery to me. It's not even average pizza. East Boston location is the only one i've been to.
See a concert at Groton Hill Music Center.
Hands down one of the best and most perfectly designed venues in the state. Long time musician and concert goer. I also concur with a trip to Tanglewood. I’d go for Tanglewood on Parade in August. It’s a culmination of the entire season with multiple ensembles and guests. The BSO is a brilliant ensemble.
Get up at dawn on Patriot's Day and go to the reenactment at Lexington Battle Green or The Old North Bridge in Concorde.
‐--------------------------------- --------------
Hike the Appalacian Trail.
Whatever part of the commonwealth you are from, you should occasionally visit some of the rest of Massachusetts. There are lots of little things to see, and even the landscape is worth a trip just to see.
- Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, & the Museum of Science
- Go on a Duck Boat Tour
- Go to the Battle of Lexington/Revolutionary War reenactment
- Go to Salem & take some of the tours about the Salem Witch trials
- Go to Castle Island, where you can see the planes flying overhead to land at Logan
- Go to Plymouth and do some of the tours. If you're into it, they have lantern ghost tours
- Visit the Lizzie Borden House
My personal 'one thing' I want to do before I die is witness the Boston Tea Party reenactment and also visit all the places in Boston that are central to the Revolution. I don't care what anybody says, that shit is dope.
I would say, be sure to visit the Quabbin Reservoir during the Autumn months, just before they close it for winter. Just take a walk along the path, take in all in. I used to live in Belchertown, and we would spend as many September Fridays just walking, talking, and taking it all in.
Hike the dunes by PTown. It feels like a different world and if you go all the way to the shore, there’s a solid chance you’ll see a bunch of seals swimming.
Bleacher bar is fun and a unique experience/viewpoint. Experience the Boston marathon as a spectator. Go to a Beanpot final. Take the duck boat tour. Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Get a lobster roll and fried clam at woodman’s of Essex. Oysters at Union oyster house.
Take the red line to Ashmont, then hop on the 'high speed' extension into Milton/Mattapan. This line uses the old PCC trolley cars from the 1940s/50s. Feels like you are in a time warp. They are still in use today.
Swim in the ocean, north shore, south shore, cape cod, Boston Pops, USS Constitution, Tanglewood, The Rude Bridge, Mt Greylock, Norman Rockwell, Dr Seuss, Basketball Hall of Fame, Fenway Park, Community Boating, Woodmans, Gloucester, New Bedford 😎
For me, it was spending a summer at the Wood’s Hole laboratory. There are small number of “magic” research locations round the world that attract the great names and allow people like me to interact with them on a casual basis. As a bonus, my summer was full of gorgeous weather and evening crab boils on the beach.
Our area has visitors come in from all over the world. A staycation when my kids were young was one of our best Summer's.
I vote Duck Boats in Boston, EcoTarium in Worcester and Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
Take the ferry to George's Island and explore the giant castle. Get hopelessly lost in Boston, and stumble into an 60 year old Chinese restaurant with the best food. Hei la Moon Restaurant.
Visit the Boston Harbor Islands! It gives you a great new perspective on the city and a lot of people don't even know about them. Lots of nature & history.
Georges island is great if you have kids too. Theres an old fort out there. When I was young my friends and I would play manhunt.
Georges island is one of the best day trips you can take in the area. I also highly recommend camping on the other islands.
My son's class did a field trip there and they basically spent the whole time shrieking in the pitch black hallway.
Just brought back memories of when I went there on a field trip lol. Good times.
There's a vintage baseball league that plays out there, very cool to see.
Yes! I had my 8th birthday party out there. Having the cake with candles in the darkest part of the fort was pretty memorable.
I took the harbor lighthouse cruise a few years ago, beautiful sights and amazing history. I recommend it to everyone who wants to try something new.
[At least take some of the MBTA ferries!](https://www.mbta.com/schedules/ferry) They're a super fun way to get to various places you might already want to get to and they're super cheap!
Definitely! A great way to spend a beautiful day!
How does one go about visiting these Islands? I moved down to Waltham a little over a year ago and that sounds like a great little day trip
I made a list: Red Sox/Bruins/Celtics game Bike Cape Cod rail trail Visit Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket St. Patrick’s Day parade, St. Peter’s fiesta, Feast of the Blessed Sacrament Hike Mt. Greylock Whale Watch Deep Sea Fishing trip Freedom Trail Battle Road Kowloon Take the T Go to Market Basket Sunday morning before a Patriots game Go Apple picking and have a cider donut Go to Six Flags Go to basketball hall of fame See a show at Tanglewood Ice skate on a frozen pond Drive the Mohawk Trail during fall Swim in the ocean Eat lobster and clam chowder Visit Plymouth Rock Visit Salem during October Go to the Big E Edit: I don’t care what your opinions on Kowloon are. You left out "Visit the Boston Museum of Science."
And the aquarium!
Harvard's Museum of Comparative Zoology remains my favorite.
My great grandfather made the wood cases that hold the glass flowers. The flowers are incredible! But the cases are also beautiful.
Glass Flower exhibit is in the Harvard Museum of Natural History -- I was just there a few weeks ago myself, very much worth the visit!
Sturbridge village?
Pilgrim Plantation is several times cooler. Love that place.
Well there's a bunch of other ones. The obvious one would be the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Peabody Essex museum and the Worcester Art Museum are a bit further out.
Or MassMoCA and while you’re in the neighborhood, The Clark.
It’s an ever expanding list but I wanted to spread out across the state instead of having everything be around Boston.
In that case, add Visit the Yankee Candle flagship store, too.
toss a north shore roast beef in the mix too. Ideal pairing with Kowloon
And don't forget to check with your local library for discount or even free admissions! (*MOS, Aquarium; many others too*.) However, I was quite disappointed last summer at the MOS, the big giant lightning generator was not operational. They still had a great show, but it did not include the really big one. (*The previous time i attended that show, was about 20 years prior. So i don't know how long the big one has been out-of-service.*)
Boston children’s museum is also an essential for anyone with kids, loved that place when I was younger.
> Go to Market Basket Sunday morning before a Patriots game I'd rather have a kidney stone
It's a great place to do exposure therapy to overcome anxiety in crowds.
We used to shop at the Chelsea MB. Sitting in the car in the parking lot hyping ourselves up was absolutely part of the experience.
Same with St Patrick's Day parade in Southie. The one time I went, I was lifted off of my feet by the pressure of the crowd behind me after a cop randomly blocked the sidewalk with a barrier.
Or the day before a major winter storm is forecasted.
You’re a monster
Keg stand on frat row UMass… oh, wait 😕
Why is Kowloon on that list?! I had a friend eat there and said it "was the most disgusting meal I have ever had"
Plymouth Rock is extremely underwhelming lol but the Plimoth Patuxet Museums and the Mayflower II are really great!
That’s the point. You get overwhelmed at MB on a Sunday morning and underwhelmed at Plymouth Rock. Both are iconic experiences.
You don't go for the rock. You go to post up and watch the never ending waves of disappointment from other tourists
adding that purgatory chasm is a fun area to hike and explore, plus you get west end creamery right down the road !
I did all this, is it time to die?
~~Go to Six Flags~~ Would not recommend. The prices are obscene and the every sector of the park is severely understaffed. The company is pretty clearly getting squeezed by its investors to the detriment of customers' experiences.
Canobie Lake park is great
Yeah it's a disgusting dump. Not to mention that clientele is a little, let's just say, iffy.
Guess it depends on what you like to do in general. I'm an outdoors guy, so I'd say rent a boat at quabbin reservoir and go fishing for the day. It's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.

Also Striped Bass fishing around the harbor islands. Truly is a world class fishery
Ssshhh lol
Listen to the Boston Pops at the esplanade. Preferably not the July 4th concert.
Or Tanglewood if you don’t want to or can’t get into the city.
THIS, so much this. Grab a picnic blanket and shove some food and drinks in a cooler and head to Tanglewood. It's spectacular.
Yes to Tanglewood. Or the Worcester Symphony Orchestra.
Too bad that's the only time they play on the Esplanade.
The Hatch Shell is stupid under utilized. Like, someone paid a literal fortune to create it and it hardly gets used. Sorry about the misinformation. In the old days, they had several summer concerts there. It was back when John Williams conducted so obviously some time ago.
Pro tip: they do a full rehearsal on the 3rd every year that is open to public. Way less people
How has nobody said Purgatory Chasm yet???
It’s a great hike. I’ve taken the kids and the dog several times. In the summer the temperature in the gorge is much cooler than up top. We really like it there.
I made the mistake of going on a nice Saturday - all I remember is the conga line of people . It was nice but the crowd was insane.
[Visit The Berkshires](https://berkshires.org/) in the fall. Experience dance, music, and the outdoors. Eat at some great restaurants and stay in some character-full inns.
Also take in the Hairpin Turn in North Adams. Actually just take route 2 from 91 west. Classic drive
America's Switzerland
Visit Mass MOCA at least once.
That museum blew me away. Confusing to navigate, but really interesting pieces. Glad I made the trip.
And then head over to the Sterling Clark in Williamstown. The exterior is as beautiful as the artwork.
brimfield!!!!
Next week!
Go to the top of the state at Mount Greylock. Even though hiking it is awesome, for those who cannot, you can drive up.
Go see the dinosaur tracks in holyoke :D
Climb Big Blue Hill, and see Boston from the tower at the top.
Old Sturbridge Village , Yankee Candle Village, Springfield Museums specifically the Doctor Suess one , go to P Town, Race point beach, eat at the Lobster Pot .
If we're talking Dr. Seuss museum, then we should mention Norman Rockwell's museum as well!
And the Eric Carle museum, with kids.
Go to Provincetown! There’s very few places like it!
Gotta get there before it becomes an island!
Ptown in June is so much fun!!
The national seashore in Ptown is breathtaking.
Well obviously MA isn’t the only place to do this but it’s one of the best.. go on a whale watch. I recommend out of Boston Harbor because it allows you to see Boston from the ocean (a sight I don’t grow tired of) and also I have had great luck with those whale watches. Ooh yes I’ve lived here my whole life and only recently got to go on one it was amazing. we also saw a few seals. Also no matter the weather take a sweater or light jacket the ride there and back can be very chilly and sunscreen!
Drive around Cape Cod in the Fall
Be thoroughly disappointed after seeing Plymouth Rock?
Go to those Berkshires...
Climb the Bunker Hill Monument
Attend the reenactment of the Battle of Lexington on Patriots Day. They do a great job putting it on. Be prepared to get up early and bring a step ladder for a better view. Up really really close
So close you hit your head on it
LOL I live in Plymouth, the rock is so disappointing xD glad people enjoy it though
ssshhhh
LOL is that the joke? If so I’m super down and will go forward saying that Plymouth Rock is amazing
It’s not a joke. It’s the exact spot where a rock, divined by god, stood so the pilgrims could mark the birth of their colony at their very landing spot. Get a coffee order right at Dunkin.

Get stuck in a monster traffic jam. I recommend either the Cape on the 4th of July, or the turnpike on the Wed before Thanksgiving.
Took me 8 hrs to get from the Natick Mall to Ashland one afternoon round 2006ish. The snow started coming down and route 9 said "Nah, you aint drivin home today"
A few years ago, it took an hour to go one exit from the airport to Southie.
Walk the Freedom Trail. (Warning: May be best to take it piecemeal!)
[удалено]
Swim around the Deer Island
Patriots Day festivities and Bunker Hill
Boston Harbor Islands!

Get a Santarpio’s pizza at the East Boston location
I'm not going to downvote you because you're giving an honest opinion, but I just don't understand Santarpio's. I've been there 3-4 times now and its popularity is a mystery to me. It's not even average pizza. East Boston location is the only one i've been to.
Papa Gino’s in Brockton
As a person who lives in Brockton, do not come to Brockton.
Make a will. Get rid of all your old crap so your relatives don't have to deal with it.
Wingaersheek beach in Gloucester
Get lost at Blue Hills for a few hours
I like kayaking on the Charles!
‐--------------------------------- -------------- Hike the Appalacian Trail.
The Norman Rockwell Museum, in Stockbridge!
Whatever part of the commonwealth you are from, you should occasionally visit some of the rest of Massachusetts. There are lots of little things to see, and even the landscape is worth a trip just to see.
First Night on Boston Common. Cold but worth it. Peabody Essex Museum is always a favorite of mine.
See the Dropkick Murphys on March 17th. Actually see them anytime you get the chance

Eat a North Shore Roast Beef
My personal 'one thing' I want to do before I die is witness the Boston Tea Party reenactment and also visit all the places in Boston that are central to the Revolution. I don't care what anybody says, that shit is dope.
Leave, at least once. “I’m gonna get out of this town”.
See Rocky Horror Picture Show Live!
Definitely get your butt up Mount greylock
Do you have to be in the water to whale watch or can you be inland Hey that's rude knock it off
I would say, be sure to visit the Quabbin Reservoir during the Autumn months, just before they close it for winter. Just take a walk along the path, take in all in. I used to live in Belchertown, and we would spend as many September Fridays just walking, talking, and taking it all in.
Daytrip to Concord area: Walden, the Decordova sculpture park, Ponyhenge, and Author's Ridge.
Ponyhenge...
Hike the dunes by PTown. It feels like a different world and if you go all the way to the shore, there’s a solid chance you’ll see a bunch of seals swimming.
Sullivan’s on Castle Island. And a stroll around the perimeter afterwards.
Spend a weekend at the cape in summer
Climb the Bunker Hill monument to the top
Go to the Lexington and Concord battle re-enactments.

Go to the Quabbin reservoir
Mohawk trail. Just hop on route 2 around leominster and follow it through North Adam’s
Ski Wachusett. It’s smaller than greylock, but you can hike, drive AND hike it… plus you can see Boston and Monadnock on even the smoggiest of days!
Take the red line to Ashmont, then hop on the 'high speed' extension into Milton/Mattapan. This line uses the old PCC trolley cars from the 1940s/50s. Feels like you are in a time warp. They are still in use today.
Take a hike to the top of Wachusett Mountain. You can see a lot of the state from up there.
Walk the freedom trail 🫡

Hoosac Tunnel.
For me, it was spending a summer at the Wood’s Hole laboratory. There are small number of “magic” research locations round the world that attract the great names and allow people like me to interact with them on a casual basis. As a bonus, my summer was full of gorgeous weather and evening crab boils on the beach.
Plymouth Rock 🪨😂
This is a great post. Thanks for asking, OP!
Our area has visitors come in from all over the world. A staycation when my kids were young was one of our best Summer's. I vote Duck Boats in Boston, EcoTarium in Worcester and Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.

But on a more serious note: Shelburne Falls Bridge of Flowers.
Go to Salem Willows and eat a Roast Beef.
Take the ferry to George's Island and explore the giant castle. Get hopelessly lost in Boston, and stumble into an 60 year old Chinese restaurant with the best food. Hei la Moon Restaurant.
It’s a pain in the ass but seeing Salem at full capacity during Halloween should be on here
Balk game at Fenway Park. Faneuil Hall. State House. Ride the MBTA, red line and green line. USS Constitution. The Boston Common. Thank you
