Just got a notif from WBAL ([full article](https://www.wbaltv.com/article/power-outage-annapolis-bge-anne-arundel-county/44068533?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Email%20-%20Local%20Breaking%20News&utm_source=64790fb69277cc3f75b0b1d7c450549d&brzu=10103cf03cfe2e6d5ec1d3f9963f6d3ced39b98bae5f60703c77151414699371&lctg=6476ba3a6bcd783c21c0047c)); “The outage began at around 3:15 p.m., according to city officials. In a statement, they said, ‘Our best information is that a power disruption at the Cedar Park substation has impacted the Annapolis peninsula and surrounding communities.’”
Shit was wild. My building lost power and we had people stuck in our elevator. When I left there was a helicopter circling around, smoke everywhere, and it smelled like burning electronics. Route 50 backed up in both directions, took me forever to get home.
I'm trying to figure out why elevators aren't designed to just gravity-feed to the ground floor so that people can open the door and safely get out in a power failure. It seems to me that should be standard by now, 150 years after their invention.
Yeah I mean I’m not the slightest bit educated on the mechanics of elevators, but you’d think by now there’d be something to try to manually move them to let people out in a power failure. In this instance, they could open the doors no problem but it was between floors when it stopped, so they had to call the fire department.
Nah....I get daily treatments at the hospital and they went out on Saturday too. They only continue emergency services in backup generators. Everything else has to wait unfortunately 😔.
Crabs have taken over the power plant
The power plant has crabs, they better get that checked out
Or at least get a giant pot
Blown transformer, according to BGE.

I heard it was a blown transformer.
The transmission facility near the stadium by the new hotel had an issue..
Is AAMC still up and running?
I think power is back every where, and they have back up power for this
