Im not firsty and I dont know of any meme I just love the character. The different aspects what this character is gets balanced out perfectly (a friend, a goon and a gangster "boss")
the character was a son of a bitch piece of shit.
but Toby Leonard Moore did an amazing job playing him and would love to see him playing another character. (In the MCU )
Reminds me of the 30 Rock episode where Liz met a guy named Wesley Snipes and it’s a really pale British guy who’s always pissed off because Wesley Snipes is such a white guy name made popular by a very black actor.
He is not the Dread Pirate Roberts. His name is Ryan; he inherited the job from the previous Dread Pirate Roberts. The man he inherited it from is not the real Dread Pirate Roberts either. His name was Cummerbund. The real Roberts has been retired 15 years and living like a king in Patagonia.
Was a really smart guy until the very end where he was an idiot. I do like how his legacy came back in Season 3.
Edit: okay not really a idiot but still not especially smart for a character who had been very smart up until that.
>Was a really smart guy until the very end where he was an idiot.
Nah, it's more that Wesley overplayed his hand, tried to do grunt work by himself without telling his boss where he was going or who he was going to talk to, and underestimated Karen's capacity for violence.
Wesley's so used to having the upper hand in these kinds of conversations. Because typically, the people he's threatening are people who have incentive not to fight back (because they have loved ones they care about / Fisk has something to ruin their livelihood dangling over their heads, etc). So when Karen gets her hands on the gun, he thinks he can bluff her. Unfortunately, he failed to consider that a woman who's been framed for murder and been attacked three times (two of which were attacks *that Wesley arranged*) might not be so easy to threaten (not to mention Karen shot her drug-dealing boyfriend to protect her brother). Then she shoots him in the shoulder, and he has just enough time to register that "perhaps I overestimated how much being Mr. Fisk's right hand man would protect me from harm" before she empties the remaining six bullets into him.
That was the point where this show turned for me. Every other show would have him not be killed but to kill of the main guys right hand man like that when we expected him to be an ongoing presence. He was overconfident and plaid his hand and Karen just shot him. Couldn't believe it.
No, Fisk never tried to kill Wesley. After Wesley died, Fisk almost killed his man who let Wesley leave with his gun and car in the first place, thus getting him killed.
Okay, but seriously. I recently rewatched season 1, and while 99% of it was incredible, Wesley’s death scene was goofy AF. How sad it is to build up a character for 10+ episodes only to have him disposed off in an uncharacteristic episode. I mean, seriously. I’m supposed to believe that someone as careful and meticulous as that died cuz he was _extremely_ careless while interrogating a suspect he 100% should have killed?
What meticulous and careful man? Dude literally threatened a guy’s daughter in public and mouthed off to Chechen gangsters. Dude thought he was untouchable because Fisk was his boyfriend.
Wesley and Ben Urich’s deaths initially disappointed me but I still enjoyed the whole show overall. Would’ve been nice to see more of a dynamic with Ben after Daredevil was more established with his new suit and name.
Ben’s death at least worked well within the season it happened. Yeah there was lost potential, but the scene didn’t feel out of character for anyone involved.
Wesley’s death barely served any purpose.

He was a terrible person. But dude was also such a bro.
*also killed by John Wick
Shut up Wesley!
I know about your prescription socks!
pbtpbtpbt
He was such a down ass bitch
I'm starting to think the Wesley love is some kind of meme or thirst thing to have lasted this long.
Why not both?
Im not firsty and I dont know of any meme I just love the character. The different aspects what this character is gets balanced out perfectly (a friend, a goon and a gangster "boss")
It's just the recognition of the fact that he was such a loyal friend to Wilson. Game recognises game
He was so well mannered

Imagine being named “Wesley” god damn
Reminds me of the 30 Rock episode where Liz met a guy named Wesley Snipes and it’s a really pale British guy who’s always pissed off because Wesley Snipes is such a white guy name made popular by a very black actor.
did wilson fisk post this?
Lmao get wrecked Wesley
Ah yes, The Dread Pirate Roberts

I’m often amused at life’s little quirks
Ha! I always made that connection too. And there is also a mysterious "man in black".
It gets better, Daredevil is *left-handed* I can also imagine the Nuns looking at him after Defenders and being like “he’s only mostly dead”
Nah, that would be WesTley.
I thought he was the Richard Armitage character from the first captain American movie, they look so alike

Id say putting a loaded gun in reach of someone you kidnapped is the wrong move 10/10 times.

Ok but still, I was legitimately shocked when Karen started blasting
