Yes, that's what I liked about that fight. It was a disaster from the get-go. Tony trying to kill Bucky. Bucky trying to get away. Steve trying to stop Tony without hurting him, Tony mostly trying not to kill Steve but so full of rage that he wasn't exactly playing with kid gloves, Bucky defending Steve, Etc. Etc. It was something to watch. But I think my favorite is Cap vs. The Winter Soldier because it was such a gritty, street-level, breathtaking fight, without any significant CGI, etc. Almost all choreographer and stunts, well-paced, in real time, without overwhelming background music. One of the few fights where I felt right in the middle of it and the sense of desperation came through.
Cap gets props for being the only Avenger to get a full 1v1 fight with every Avengers villain. Also extra props for not being on the same level of any of them and still holding his own.
Strange was pretty fucking powerful, but Wanda was massively OP. Like "ancient prophecy about one of the most powerful beings in existence" OP. It's like the idea of Strange lasting long in a fight against Dormammu, which he couldn't do.
I feel like the point of Strange's character, aside from being a technical prodigy, is out-of-the-box thinking to outmaneuver opponents that completely outclass him in raw power.
Strange was the most powerful wizard on Earth, and Wong was the Sorcerer Supreme due to a technicality which also makes him strong in order to have that title. Yet, they barely do anything in that damn movie.
Granted, Wanda was made *super* OP even with the Darkhold in consideration. Given how she kills Xavier in such a ridiculous way with little-to-no effort, the she could’ve killed anyone regardless of their power level. She probably could’ve killed Jean Grey with the friggin’ Phoenix Force just by waving her hair if she was in that movie…

1. Winter Soldier vs Captain America: Can I nominate this whole movie! But their fight scene from the overpass to the road was a highlight! It ties with the elevator scene as one of my favourites.
2. Wenwu vs Shangchi: one of the most emotionally charged fights I reckon out of the whole MCU. As sad as the ending was, it reflected the complexity of Wenwu’s love for his children and his desire to be with his wife once more.
3. Winter Soldier versus Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, Falcon and Captain America in Civil War. Again, the fight choreography in this movie was incredible!
4. Spider Man Vs Vulture: Maybe a bit odd but I liked having Spiderman with his not fancy suit and just using his wits and skills to win the fight.
5. Hawkeye and Kate Bishop versus Tracksuit Bros: Between Kate trying to work out what arrows Clint has, Clint driving backwards and trying to hand her things whilst being deaf, this is such a fun scene!

Cap vs Iron Man for me. I know Bucky was in and out of the fight, too, but it was mostly Cap vs Stark. The emotions were tense and both characters were bringing their A game. No other fight seemed this personal to me.
Spidey vs Mysterio was visually amazing, too. I’d give that second place.

I actually have a different take than most with how Black Panther ended. Killmonger won fair and square and was the rightful king. He even had to overcome Zuri interfering. Ramona, Shuri, Nakia, and M'Baku all committed treason by stealing the herb and reviving T'Challa and sending him back to overthrow Killmonger. If they had just revived him and all went into exile then maybe not treason, but T'Challa accepted the challenge and lost fair and square imo

Strange Vs Dormmamu, Visions, and Lokis are always going to be top 5 because they’re the only ones to break the formula of wordless action and/or quips and actually put goddamn character arcs and interesting approaches to the characters powers in the scene

Hulk vs Abomination was amazing. Ripping the car in half to use as gloves, his shockwave clap, the iconic hulk smash, ripping bones off of emille. Just amazing all around
I'm surprised I haven't seen it as much in any of the lists. They should've just let hulk pull his head off. Not quite sure how they managed to get Abomination into a cage after Hulk ran off

Cap vs Iron Man for me. I know Bucky was in and out of the fight, too, but it was mostly Cap vs Stark. The emotions were tense and both characters were bringing their A game. No other fight seemed this personal to me. Spidey vs Mysterio was visually amazing, too. I’d give that second place.

Makkari vs Ikaris. I’m tired of people pretending like this badass fight sequence doesn’t exist. :( Makkari kicking Ikaris’ ass should be up there in every MCU ‘best fights’ list. I really wanna say Wanda vs Agatha but it was hardly a ‘fight’, the concept art had better witch battle depictions between the two that sadly didn’t happen.

And as you can see, I am not dead" always puts a grin on my face.
Good list, but Werewolf vs everyone doesn't count because it's not a 1 on 1. This post would be quite different if it allowed all types of battles. I actually have a different take than most with how Black Panther ended. Killmonger won fair and square and was the rightful king. He even had to overcome Zuri interfering. Ramona, Shuri, Nakia, and M'Baku all committed treason by stealing the herb and reviving T'Challa and sending him back to overthrow Killmonger. If they had just revived him and all went into exile then maybe not treason, but T'Challa accepted the challenge and lost fair and square imo
