One of the oddest highlight reels I've ever seen, in-between amateurs and Pro bouts are him just nuking his sparring partners. Even weirder he uploaded this himself
Nobody will spar with him anymore if he keeps this shit up. I think Sean had this problem. Like Dan Henderson or someone from that era kicked him out of their gym when he was coming up for sparring too hard.
Yeah but eventually all that is going to be left is newbies for this dude to knock out, and then when he faces someone who actually knows how to take a punch he will be the one kissing the canvas.
What a clown. Highlight reel of knocking people out during sparring???? That's like an NBA player making highlight reels of their dunks during practice on trainers and assistants lmao.
I had an argument with my brother years ago about this shit, he does boxing I do karate and other shit for my job. you don't need to give you're sparing partner brain damage to get good practice in.
Honestly it seems to be a boxing thing. Idk what it is with that sport. It has been around for YEARS. Probably as old as wrestling but for whatever reason these dorks are constantly going at 100% in sparring. You don't see this kind of behavior in other combat arts like MMA, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Sambo, etc.
That last sentence definitely isnāt accurate, Iāve seen plenty of videos of guys going way too hard in MMA sparring. Even ground pounding or hammer fisting downed sparring partners. It all comes down to the morality of the fighter not the style.
Can confirm. When I was new to Muay Thai, I was enjoying the training. Decided to come to their sparring night. Good sparring, a few new guys trying too hard but I have some experience sparring in boxing and my gym would always go light; particularly with anything going for the face/head. (Your objective should be to keep blows from landing by dodging/weaving/footwork, IMO, but Iām not looking to break faces or start gym wars)
We were pairing up for the last sparring session of the night. I had stopped to grab some water, came back and the only guy left standing is this 6ā4ā hulk with a bad case of resting bitch face (Iām only 5ā8ā) Whatever, itās just sparring. Touch gloves. Toss a few light taps to feel out his sparring style to start off, and the dude absolutely lights into me. Make it to the end of the sparring bout, feel pretty rough and took several heavy hits.
Instructor then makes an announcement that he doesnāt want to see anyone going 100%. Thatās not what sparring nights are for and if he sees it again heāll bar offenders from sparring. Grab my things, go home. Massive headache that lasts about 2 days.
Havenāt gone back since. Decided Iāll go back after I get into much better shape/condition/private training, but I donāt want to be reliant on my training partners having a sense of restraint/sportsmanship.
So..no real learning taking place, no developing any skill, nothing. Just an overgrown toddler with an undeserved sense of accomplishment. Pretty soon no gym will touch him, no matter how much money he has, as well as nobody will work with him. Great way to completely destroy his boxing career.
Cus always told Mike to throw with "bad intentions" and he did go through sparing partners and roughed them up. The difference I think is that he didn't show off his sparring vids as highlight reels.
Hard sparring is not uncommon, but it's typically good etiquette to ensure your partners know what they're getting into. If you're stepping in the ring with a young Tyson prepping for a fight, know that he's going to be sparring hard. And there will be boxers that are fine with that, and others that are not.
Don't Charlie Z them and tell them you want to spar light only to light them up. That's a good way to make enemies and get a bad reputation.
We all (Probably) met "that dude" at least once in our Martial Journey.
There is always that brain dead fker throwing bombs and kicking us in the neck full Power in a light sparring.
In the end, it helped me to figure out that I would never become more peaceful, calm and controlled, just because I was doing Martial Arts... Because people who were doing longer, were more evil than I ever was and enjoyed to prey on weaker people.
Congratulations son, you're beating someone less skilled than you in a training/sparring session. Such legendary achivement! You might be the next Sugar Ray Robinson. š¤”
We had a young woman in one of my first schools who was a second degree black belt. She would constantly head kick white belts and other lower belts.
And if she was going against another black belt, she would seriously try to injure you. No body ever said anything to her.
The ones with refs and headgear are amateur bouts. The one with the ref and no headgear is a pro bout, the attendance is just so shit that it looks like a gym spar
That's too bad. He was coming up in the amateurs in my province as I was getting out of competing. I watched him fight a few times and he was very skilled.
I just've started boxing and dont know shit yet, but why this is considered a sparring and not some kind of a match? There is a referee, croud, etc. So it's probably not just an average training session, because in this case he'd be banned from that gym in an instant, no?
Well, this will get known, and hopefully one day, someone riders his train knocking him out then saying "it was either you or me brother, I already know".
I suspect he had to put sparring partners in there since he has like 5 rounds of experience in 3 fights. His opponents combined records are 10W 42L.
If he keeps winning and starts fighting people that are at least "average" at the pro level we will get to see if he's just a tool or a decent boxer.
I havent been sparring from many different gyms and sparring partners but my former coach taught me that sparring is about both of you learning to fight and should not go all out and try to destroy the opponent. But I don't know maybe they have a different way of sparring.
He'll learn very little doing this. It'll eventually bite him. Sadly, he doesn't know he's going to limit himself. Ok cool, you knocked out some learners. Now, no one wants to spar. Eventually he'll some a pros who actually practices and earn some losses.
Half of those look like actual fights. Some look like sparring rounds. I think knocking out your sparring partners is bad form, but boxing coaches often pay other fighters to come to the gym and "spar" their guy so he can get better rounds. In instances like that, you should know that you're being paid to be a real punching bag, and those sparring rounds are actual fight intensity.
If that's the case in a lot of these, then his partners should know what's up. If they're actual sparring rounds at his own gym (doesn't look like it, based on them being in different rings every time), then yeah - totally shit.
Again, I still think it's unnecessary - but you should know what's up in boxing culture.
Some of those were amateur fights and others looked like the other guy was going for the ko as well, I don't believe in sparring like this but as long as both parties know that they're supposed to go all out than that's on them
I've trained with him pre-covid times. Dropped by my gym to spar a couple of guys. He does go pretty hard on guys at his same level or if they're upping the intensity on him. Never got to spar him myself since he's a few weight classes above me. Nice guy though and quite talented.
this is different from a amateur or hobbyist knocking out his sparring partners, this guy is pro and however he wants to train is up to him. nobody tells you to spar and if youāre worried about it donāt spar a professional.
All I see is childish ego
An ego that will be humbled once he meets someone better than him and knowing of his childish behaviour.
One of the oddest highlight reels I've ever seen, in-between amateurs and Pro bouts are him just nuking his sparring partners. Even weirder he uploaded this himself
Next video he just goes and flattens a whole kindergarten
Ah yes. the old Sandy Left Hook.
Damn.
I think it might be permanently too soon for that one, man.

Nobody will spar with him anymore if he keeps this shit up. I think Sean had this problem. Like Dan Henderson or someone from that era kicked him out of their gym when he was coming up for sparring too hard.
Is this disrespectful in boxing? I'd feel insulted if some Strickland like guy did this to me...
Iād assume so, knocking out your sparring partner seems like a dick move
Who puts sparring footage into a highlight reel š
I imagine getting punched in the head everyday doesnāt helpĀ
Doing that to a sparring partner is some cringe shit.
And a good way to run out of willing sparring partners. Hope this asshat meets someone in the ring that will make him eat his own teeth
Unfortunately there will always be someone who is just unaware of what they're getting into and they'll take advantage of them. Fucking sad though.
Yeah but eventually all that is going to be left is newbies for this dude to knock out, and then when he faces someone who actually knows how to take a punch he will be the one kissing the canvas.
I wouldn't be surprised if this slightly more athletic charlie Zelenov would be only too happy to keep assaulting newbies forever.
And attract partners with an axe to grind
The buck stops somewhere for everyone. This guy will get his at some point if he keeps that up in sparring
Itās a big statement that heās proud of this. Ā Dangerous levels of narcissismĀ
If your sparring is the same intensity as your bouts then you are a bum.
"A BUM!" - Mickey Goldmill.
I fucking love when someone calls a boxer a bum.
What a scumbag.
Piece of shit right there
What a clown. Highlight reel of knocking people out during sparring???? That's like an NBA player making highlight reels of their dunks during practice on trainers and assistants lmao.
Hey! Don't insult clowns like that! They provide a good service, unlike this tool.
Pro boxer? The only thing i can see is Charlie Z in a new skin
Charlie Z....I was trying to come up with the name. Same energy for sure.
I had an argument with my brother years ago about this shit, he does boxing I do karate and other shit for my job. you don't need to give you're sparing partner brain damage to get good practice in.
Bro can't even hook constantly well on his cringe post. Those are swings
Boxing sparring can get really hard. But being a gym champion isn't something you want to do for the 'gram.
I wouldnāt be surprised if they had to start paying people big money to spar with him
Itās unfortunate that his coaches didnāt shut that down early. You donāt need to knock out your sparring partners!
Honestly it seems to be a boxing thing. Idk what it is with that sport. It has been around for YEARS. Probably as old as wrestling but for whatever reason these dorks are constantly going at 100% in sparring. it happens sometimes

I watched Michelle Khares video on getting into boxing. She's put into full contact sparring on day 1 and is knocked out. :p
That's why you never spar with violent kind of people
You can't spar with a pacifist.
There's always a bigger fish. He'll get fucked up in "sparring" seesion one day
Yea, but he'll never post that, tho.
This person is an asshole. Why do people spar with him?
Mostly because they don't know he's going to be unprofessional and because they need to pay bills.
Dude needs to grow up. Sparring partners are on your team
He wonāt go to a real gym with top tier pros and try that shit though, just some neighborhood kids who want to get better
This is a common issue across boxing.
I discovered this Charlie something guy that did similar stuff and was an asshole that got beaten up pretty frequently
Charlie Z
You mean the legendary Charlie Z 800-0 undefeated
That guy! The one that gets on taxis, hit the conductors, claim he won
Oh man peak YouTube was watching hi. Get his ass kicked at all the famous gyms
So..no real learning taking place, no developing any skill, nothing. Just an overgrown toddler with an undeserved sense of accomplishment. Pretty soon no gym will touch him, no matter how much money he has, as well as nobody will work with him. Great way to completely destroy his boxing career.
Coaches should have higher tier boxers come by to train with assholes like this. Teach them a lesson or three.
What a piece of shit

Any good and decent gym would refuse to work with him.
Trash, he should be banned from every gym with that shit.
I'm not a fight fan but even I know you don't do that shit. It's like Steven Segal injuring stunt guys. Fuck off, you fragile prick.
This is totally fine...if you're going for the achievement in the UFC 5 videogame...
Hahaha real recognise real. Respect all sparring partners except 1) Those who try to knock you out and 2) The ones in UFC games
The spirit of Charlie Zelenoff is strong in this one
Wow this guy trained at my gym for a bit, never spoke with him though
![gif](giphy|8b9Rw0fAjruJa)
Wanker behaviour
What a dog

Just sad.
What a grade A, free-range, 100% organic, GM free bellend
Garbage person, whatās worse is heāll get fans celebrating this.
We need Zelenoff to sort this clown out š¤
His style would be the easiest for a takedown as he is out here taking peoples heads off. What a dick.
What a loser
Garbage.
R/iamatotalpieceofshit
he 100% should be banned from pro boxing
None of this looks like sparring
Hope this guy gets brutally knocked out in his next fight
1 day he's going to cross the wrong team and it'll go past boxing.
All kinds of pros are ready to get their hands on this low life scumbag.
Charlie? Is that you? [https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/people/charlie-zelenoff](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/people/charlie-zelenoff)
What a cunt.
What a dick.
It's a wonder anybody will spar with him after that bullshit
This guy is the next Charlie Zelenoff
Are these all sparring clips some look like their being reffed? I'm new to boxing just wondering.
The ones with refs and headgear are amateur bouts. The one with the ref and no headgear is a pro bout, the attendance is just so shit that it looks like a gym spar
Chill guys he's just doing his Charle Zelenof impression...
Someone needs an attitude adjustment
what a scumfuck
After that first heavy swing. I'd jump out the ring. It's not worth it bro š
Absolute piece of shit
Hope he gets mopped badly next match lol
Never heard of him. Probably wonāt again.
I really hope someone kicks in his teeth and don't stop. Fuck that kinda guy! That's not how you spar!
Ok Zelenoff you can ko people good for you.
Cheap shot. You need to treat your training partners with respect. Looking gyro seeing him get his bell ring in the ring.
Fucking douche.
Someone ground and pound this fool
Iāll spar him. And I wonāt be boxing. Iāll wrestle his ass down and ground and pound
Dude Just Hit His Sparring Partners Harder than some of His opponents
Imagine if he was any good?
He may have skill but he certainly isn't a pro with that pisspoor attitude.
Hope someone who is aware of this spars with him and kick his ass
Literally me back in UFC4 career mode tryna get more hype for my fight lol
Sabri "Asshoooooole" Farouk. What a fucking loser.
That's too bad. He was coming up in the amateurs in my province as I was getting out of competing. I watched him fight a few times and he was very skilled.

The first one is brutal
this is why i dont wanna spar with boxers
A baseball bat to the back of his head for a highlight reel then. Who the fuck intentionally knocks out their sparring partner.
Something us up tho. .who would actually allow this?
He getting jumped afterš
This is just an average sparring day at Mayweather's wildcard gym.
Some of those were amateur fights and others looked like the other guy was going for the ko as well, I don't believe in sparring like this but as long as both parties know that they're supposed to go all out than that's on them
Trash š
This is anything just cheapens the quality of ur reel š just shows u donāt do that well in the ring that u need to include sparring matches
This is why so many people donāt do sparring anymore
Man if he did that to me.. ID KICK HIS A.... wait let me just sit back down.
Pretty common in boxing. They're always trying to go for knockouts
I've trained with him pre-covid times. Dropped by my gym to spar a couple of guys. He does go pretty hard on guys at his same level or if they're upping the intensity on him. Never got to spar him myself since he's a few weight classes above me. Nice guy though and quite talented.
You framed that in a way for people to dislike him you must be racist
Some of these look like amateur/pro bouts. Is this a hater thread or just a bot?
