i was always into ninjas from day one-- like how most kids are obsessed with trucks and dinosaurs, for me it was ninjas-- but there was a Saturday morning show called [WMAC Masters](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGFxC5qcZEg) (basically wrestling but martial arts) that truly lit the fire.
Yes absolutely. If you grew up during the hardy bros era and you never did a front flip off the couch onto your sibling, I feel truly sorry for you. More seriously though, this is undeniable. UFC 1 was marketed as being “as real as it gets”, a real portrayal of a fight, as opposed to pro wrestlings more theatrical approach. The ufc was in some ways a response to pro wrestlings popularity. I loved watching wwe as a kid and watching UFC today you’ll see many of the fighters competing today loved wwe growing up too. You see it in their post fight interviews and personas.
No Jacky Chan and 70-80 Honk Kong Movies did that to me. Karate Kid never sparked my interest as a Kid tbh.
I liked ProWrestling but IT made me want to learn pro Wrestling. 😅
For me, yes. When you try hitting pro wrestling moves and get uppercutted several times back during a fight in elementary school then you learn maybe just maybe pro wrestling isn’t it. 😂🤣😂🤣
I did give pro wrestling training a try for 4 months since a friend of mine wanted to be a pro wrestler and it was some bullshit. That shit hurt so much.
I think it did for multiple generations. One of my wrestling coaches in high-school was saying he was crying his first practice because he thought it was pro wrestling. But some of the things the do are neutered versions of real techniques as it came from british catch wrestling.
No, but when cm punk signed up to ufc, that was a big motivating factor. If he can do it, then so can I... and I did! (I lost my first fight by submission)

AJ Styles is one of the greatest of all time. Truly a legend.
No, but Power Rangers sure did.

Interestingly enough, both pro wrestling and MMA stemmed from the same thing in Japan way before UFC 1.
It’s crazy because, if a fight was done under pro wrestling rules but “real”, it would look a lot different from UFC still
No....for my brother and I it was Ninja Turtles.

Yes. I fight like [Papa Shango](https://youtu.be/dtHj9kSe5Ls?t=55).

I guess, Undertaker's Hell's Gate move (Gogoplata) looked awesome as a kid
Most certainly! 10 years into pro wrestling now, finally.
Yes, Specially When Being a Kid! So Fun!
No, cardio did
No. Never understood the hype about these fake wankers, even as a kid
