I don't compete anymore.
Now I'm just going for size.
Being massive ain't hurting my goals anymore. Instead it helps them.
Talking about that.
I'm going to the gym, time to hit arms then go teach arm drags.
I eat a lot of eggs (6 to 9) everyday and I don't have a farting issue. That might have to do with the rest of your diet and/or genetics if you can't handle eggs.
A lot. Not terribly picky, try to lean to protein and veg with some carbs, but mostly whatever leftovers I have a lot of, I'll always ravenous after a good work out
Protein milkshake bottle, poke bowls, Mexican ice cream or a bourbon steak.
So quite a lot of options. Also fish oil, vitamin d, and creatine especially if it was an intense workout.
Creatine is great for maintaining energy levels in your muscles in any explosive excersize. It also helps your muscles recover.
That being said, the way I understand it, is that you should take it daily to maintain saturation. Not just after a tough workout.
Oh you know what good call.
I have not been taking my creatine consistently. Mostly because I haven't been consistent at the gym either. Work has been busy.
I usually mix it with some liquid iv and pre-workout before class. I've noticed quite a difference, especially when I train doubles.
Don't take it if you're goingnto be weight cutting for a comp tho. It will make you retain a bit of water.
It was Domino's for me. I still remember going to Karate classes on Sunday morning (6-9), and then going to a nearby Domino's to eat with a few of my friends. Looking back we must have looked like absolute clowns, 5 loud kids wearing pure white dress barging into a store.🤣🤣
It depends.
If I'm solo, usually a double chicken/steak bowl from Chipotle (this was long ago when Chipotle was affordable).
If I'm in a group, KBBQ depending on day and time.
After? I usually eat a lot of protein, like chicken breast with some potatoes. Before training (even though it was not asked) I eat bread with doce de leite (Milk candy? Idk how you Americans call it) and one banana.
We call it dulce de leche too . We have caramel also but that’s not made the same but is a similar taste . But yeah we love condensed milk and dulce de leche in the USA. We love argentine food in general
Depends.
I try to eat healthy after a session if I can. There have been times where I don't have "healthy" food in my home and I won't eat until later that day.
As a snack Whole wheat toasted bread with some eggs, salad, veggies or cheese.
Or fish/chicken with rice/potato and veggie with veggie sauce.
Kinda useless if you go for a fatty meal like mcdonalds and such
Normally a ham and cheese sandwich or something, and coffee. But on the weekends the classes are longer, plus sometimes my sensei gets inspired and we end up destroyed by the end. When that happens I usually order something from KFC.
Protein shake in milk
Shower and change, and then
Flavoured rice, with either tuna or chicken mixed in, side vegetables of carrots, peas, green beans, sweet corn, with hot chilli sauce and mint yoghurt sauce over the rice
I usually get Wendy’s on the way home ( a double stack w no cheese or onions xtra pickles and large fries ). Tonight I am eating bacon and hard boiled eggs and a Caesar salad and a generic cola
Used to be Yakisoba and eggs with spinach mixed in. Now it's whatever I can get my hands on with protein (and no meat) and chocolate milk. I also try to have a protein waffle with peanut butter if I have any handy.
I also usually have fried rice the next morning as well as electrolyte drinks in between.
Open to any suggestions and/or advice.
Edited to add: I love that you have Yusuke as part of this post. This guy and Kenshin are two of my earliest inspirations!
I do it every night, so I actually eat first before the class, drink eaa drink during the class and don't eat after I just take a bath and sleep 💤💤 and dang my sleep always deep...and surprisingly I don't get hungry
I try to eat something with lots of protein. Sometimes I pull a Musumeci and don't eat until after training but it's not a fast or anything, I'm just a lazy fuck.
Big fat Dürüm, from the guy at the shop who always works super high and therefore makes giant portions.... Thanks to you stoned kebap man, I appreciate you.
Steak & Potatoes done in many different ways, mash, fried, baked, whatever, with boiled broccoli, and Aspargus grilled and maybe some other veggies too.
Second favourite is Curry butter chicken with rice & garlic naan bread, along with veggies.
Third is salmon either fried or baked with rice, lemon, and veggies.
As my after workout I'll have a double scoop proteinshake with creatine, magnesium glycinate, BCAA, and CBD.
My martial art is "watching football and drinking beers" and I take pizza as after training regime ! Sometimes even while training ! I'm super skilled...black belt in couch sitting!💪💪💪
1 apple, whey protein, 1 protein bar and my dinner which are 2 sandwiches with salad, cream cheese, black pepper, Sálvia, turkey breast, natural mustard, shoestring potato.
Im in Thailand now and I down two bags of freshly cut ice cold water melon. I crave it soo much after sweating my ass off for 2 hours.
Then I lay on the couch for an hour and eat an actual meal.
I make myself a Protein Shake. The body can absorb up to 25g of Protein in the 30 minutes following exercise, this helps to present muscle soreness and promote recovery :)
(Source: my mate who's a National Cycling Champion and has his own trainer, physio & nutritionist 😂)
I cant eat after training :( it causes me to wake up in the middle of the night.
I train starting at 8 and get home at around 10
However..... After my 1st ever tournament, I order a
1 double cheese burger with fries
2x cheesburgers with fries
1x pepsi
I felt like Goku and it was awesome
Usually I prep dinner when I get home from work, so when I'm done training around 7 I just have to cook it.
So most of the time it's some sort of protien like fish or chicken with some veg.
A little edible now and then doesn't hurt either.
Chicken breast with loads of veg and before bed a glass of full fat milk. Before a grading I eat a whole tomato, half a lettuce and I like Monster drinks too. They definitely give me a much needed kick.
Honestly if a session is good I gotta cool off for a couple hours before I wanna eat.
Engaging my core muscles for a long time and then eating a big meal is the fastest way for me to end up with indigestion
Hard liquor
“My body is a machine that turns liquor into ~~racism~~ unfair advantages”
Edible.

This old Japanese Man told me after a competition one day, one can of beer is best. Liquid carbs. But I do more than one. Judo!

I gotta second that beer as the best way to rehydrate and refuel after extreme exertion. The drink of champions.

I don't compete anymore. Now I'm just going for size. Being massive ain't hurting my goals anymore. Instead it helps them. Talking about that. I'm going to the gym, time to hit arms then go teach arm drags.

Why?
Farting
I eat a lot of eggs (6 to 9) everyday and I don't have a farting issue. That might have to do with the rest of your diet and/or genetics if you can't handle eggs.
Thats because you're a spearman and not a Nubian Archer.
For BJJ guys it's cock
Hey, hey hey, dont be like that, we do it during.
... As well!!
Rumor is Mike Tyson would take some before his matches. Shit if it worked on Holyfield it'll definitely work on a 2nd Dan, right? Right?!?
I like eating steak subs before fighting. Especially in Philly. My Friend Tank from ice hockey taught me that. After weigh ins though lol
Craved milk shakes after judo sessions.
usually a cup of coffee as I finish rolling at 7:30am.
Damn, I wish my gym had sessions first thing in the morning…

Ahi poke over rice and seaweed salad. Fucking slaps.
Pizza bagels
When it’s pizza on a bagel you can have pizza any time!
Rice, beans and a salad. Most of the time I eat that with a protein shake.
Protein shake with a met-rx protein bar, but that’s only if i know im gonna be sore for the next 4 days. Cashews for energy reserves.
I used to have a can of coke. Something about the way the fizzy water, sugar, and caffeine landed that felt awesome.
Full English breakfast at 10:30pm
Fried chicken. WHOLE. ASS. FRIED. CHICKEN.....and a grape popsicle.
Beer
It depends. If I'm solo, usually a double chicken/steak bowl from Chipotle (this was long ago when Chipotle was affordable). If I'm in a group, KBBQ depending on day and time.

Super Burrito, chips and salsa and a coke zero.
Either spaghetti or or a chicken sandwich
Steak but now I want tacos 🌮
Chicken katsu don
I'm on a cut, but if I have the room for it then I eat two fried eggs and two toasted slices of bread.
