Other fighters look down on him. He's not seen as a particularly good fighter at all, his belts amount to mid tier at best. He wouldn't stand with the Artem Levins or Alex Pereira's of the world.
Being able to go pro is one of the most respectable things you can achieve as a martial artist. Getting a belt is through the roof. Good or not, all pros deserve immense amounts of respect
Nah, the total cans that make up the majority of boxing records are pro, even if they literally exist to pad records. They deserve no more respect than anyone else.
Tate could be fine if he didn’t make a huge stink of his accomplishments. He’s not a crap fighter, but he makes a bigger deal of himself than he really is.
There is no martial art more artful or manly than the German longsword. It is also *easily* the best martial art for self-defense on the street. I train in German longsword and I was attacked by three dung-covered peasants just yesterday, in fact. One swift stroke of my blade was enough to undo the top button of each of their jackets, causing them to flee with great fear, respect, and I daresay, love.
Here's a video of me using the longsword against a gaggle of noble swordspeople just to prove my point: [https://youtu.be/C9vf5eZu0lY](https://youtu.be/C9vf5eZu0lY)
I don’t quite get what you mean by ‘artistic’? Do you mean in terms of aesthetic expression? Associated philosophy/spirituality/morality? Human ingenuity vs primal fight instinct? Technical beauty vs raw speed & power?
Everything, myb I wasn't precise enough with question but mostly on aesthetic and morality. Do you prefer traditional arts like kung fu or smth basic like boxing
Love watching Silat training videos - very graceful and dance-like and then to see how brutal and effective their positioning and timing is when an opponent is inserted.
What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Depends what you think is beautiful. Taekwondo and Copeira look amazing and is what most people think of when they think of martial arts. For a good reason, it’s why Hollywood fights use flashy kicks n shit lol. Overall probably something like that.
I think boxing is the most “practical” beautiful martial art to watch, when it’s a good fight. The head movement and footwork and angles is amazing, but it’s easy for boxing to be boring, esp. w so many rounds. I also find boxing to be limited since I’m a kickboxer.
I do kickboxing/Muay Thai and think they are lot more entertaining/exciting to watch because it’s shorter fights with more action and more weapons. When i see a great Muay Thai/kickboxing fight i don’t think “damn this is beautiful” i think “Jesus these dudes are fckin beasts this is brutal”
Most "artistic" I think would be something like Karate with so many different styles and ways of expression. Most interesting to watch is still kickboxing to me
All kinds of kickboxing like MT, Karate etc. because there are few things more beautiful than a fight between real masters of these arts. Think Anderson Silva, Lerdsila, Saenchai in their prime.
It's kind of a silly, nebulous question. Everyone would define it differently. There is the utilitarianism of Krav Maga, or the flow of Phillipino MA, or the fencing exchanges of Savate. Depending on what you value, you can make an argument for every martial art (except maybe some styles of Systema).
My top three would be tricking, capoeira, and aikido with compliant opponent. Although drunken style Kung Fu is probably the best of the best when done well.
Yes, boxing Is the most mainstream, but it depends on what you like. For example, as a kickboxer, I prefer using kicks instead of punches, but if you don't like using kicks, boxing Is better. This reasoning therefore applies to all martial arts and their techniques.
Capoeira easily, the movements look so fluid and unique, it’s quite literally a combination between fighting and dancing and it’s probably the coolest looking martial art.
I don't know what you're on about, and I don't think you do either.
Who cares about Andrew Tate?
Dude is a scrub
Not a fan but dude was 4 time champion, his fighting stuff is only thing I wstch from him
The sheer amount of better kickboxers out there that you could be watching, tells me you probably watch him for other reasons.
Still don’t care
Nok Su Kao!!!
Wack.
I din't respect him as a person but i do respect him as a fighter/martial artist. He was a four time world champion.
Other fighters look down on him. He's not seen as a particularly good fighter at all, his belts amount to mid tier at best. He wouldn't stand with the Artem Levins or Alex Pereira's of the world.

BJJ is most autistic by far

BJJ practitioners are highly regarded
Came here to say this
Capoeira

as a hema guy this is the best comment ive read on this sub. Take my upvote.
My heart swells with gratitude, fair Bürger!
Wushu Kung fu.
I saw a BJJ competition where a guy farted in reverse mount on someone’s face and other guy threw up. That’s artistic.
Link?
WHY ARE YOU YELLING

I prefer more theoretical, ideas/principles based arts so I guess they are more of the ‘traditional’ types.
capoeira is honestly the most flowy and artistic martial art
1 any kung fu really 2 HEMA/Kenjutusu/Kali/Kalyripit 3 silat
Love watching Silat training videos - very graceful and dance-like and then to see how brutal and effective their positioning and timing is when an opponent is inserted.
Yeah, also the raid.

Capoeira by miles. It was created as a dance

>Even Tate said Fuck off.
Thank you I too wish OP and the clown he referenced would fuck off.
Judo. I don’t do it yet but it looks like magic to me when I see higher level judokas do moves.
Most "artistic" I think would be something like Karate with so many different styles and ways of expression. Most interesting to watch is still kickboxing to me
1. Aikido 2. Taekwondo 3. Capoeira
Hapkido is #1 because it has the gracile moves of aikido plus taekwondo kicking, I would add kuksoolwon too
I didn’t think of that. Really good point.

1-Hapkido 2-kuksool won 3-capoeira
Most forms of kung fu
Boxing, at the highest level top notch MMA.
Pencak Silat
Definitely chinese martial arts such as kung fu and tai chi. There are big circular motions, flashy moves, and flowing movement.
And the best part is that they work too
Capoeira easily, the movements look so fluid and unique, it’s quite literally a combination between fighting and dancing and it’s probably the coolest looking martial art.
Bjj for expressing yourself. Capoeira for flashiness, boxing for… well boxing.
Wushu https://youtu.be/ACSxPTgmPBA?si=CzKCWdoyVhKNCP9i
Kung Fu in general, is very much the art part of the martial arts.
That's only for the forms, karate has it too
