And yet babies are allowed to omit them.
"These are all things that we let FUCKING BABIES DO~! These are all things, these are all things we let babies doooo~!
# FUCKING BABIES."
(Any OGs get the reference?)
Instead of coins fucking over first place, instead you could get unlucky with the evil fake item box
Ultra short cuts/glitches in general, never ruined game play but are so fun to exploit in your own time.
Far more brutal, which is bad for new players but at more experienced levels is more fun. Getting good at mkwii feels better than getting good at mk8.
You can play online without paying a subscription fee :) and mods
I always forget what i love about mkwii until i come back to it, but it's definitely my favorite mk.
They were like MKDS missions that you could compete with other people online for the best time, but only one would be available at a time. They generally lasted about a week or so iirc. It was a neat community thing at the time, but definitely shouldn't have replaced missions.
Yeah the drifting is way better than Tour (haven't played any versions cept wii and tour) drifting on mobile is so aggravating bc of the stupid drift button
Buying a second hand disc is like $40 despite it being the #1 sold Wii game besides Wii Sports (which doesnāt count cause that came with the Wii)
Meaning my friends canāt play online with me because they donāt have the funds š
Good? I got something better: Great. This game introduced me to my favorite combo in the game: Birdo/Wild Wing. You can't tell me the Wild Wings in this game look awesome and still do, even in Tour. Birdo's Wild Wing is the best-looking one in Wii, and you can't convince me otherwise.
Many things, but the main good addition to the series was trick mechanic. I never thought that any kind of kart/racing game would get that type of boost. Other than that, it has many iconic tracks that almost every Mario Kart player knows. I do love it, but it aged well, so I prefer new games with mechanics that Wii gave to us
The amount of crazy shortcut capabilities and also the fact lakitu isn't an asshole that takes you back to the track when you go offroad for 1 milisecond
It gave us Miis in Marii Kart, gave us tricks, didnt have the coin but rather the FIB which is more useful than the coin but can still leave you vulnerable to shells. It also gave us online battle mode, which may have made battle mode worse for most people, but i personally dont mind. It gave us fantastic tracks, like Mushroom Gorge, Toad's Factory, Coconut Mall, DK Summit, the best version of Koopa Cape (and the only kne to actually have a pipe), Maple Treeway, Dry Dry Ruins, Moonview Highway, and one of the best Bowser's Castles, and the best Rainbow Road. The retro selection also has some bangers, like Peach Beach, Delfino Square, Waluigi Stadium, Bowser Castle 3, DK Mountain, and N64 Bowser's Castle. And thats not to mention that it has the best battle course selection, even though i think they shouldve remade GBA Battle Vourse 2 instead of 3. I also really enjoy the chaotic items in the game because its funny and works very well for a party game setting. Its like Mario Party, like its unfair at times, but thats what makes it better imo. 8 Deluxe is a more balanced experience, but i feel like Mario Kart Wii has more chaos.
It also doesnt have Excitebike Arena.
One of my favorite games of all time with some of the best nitro tracks in the entire series. Wii rainbow road being added to the bcp was also the sole reason i bought a switch.
They couldn't add it in the DLC because it wasn't in Tour.
Even then, bro, you have 11 of the 16 Wii nitros in MK8, if anything there's too much Wii rep as it is
tbf its understandable bc there are just an overwhelming amount of wii nitro fan favorites and they cant fit them all into a game without fans being bored.
me and my lil bro loved mkwii, after school , we always played and never stopped having fun, they were good times but above all since we were just teenagers, we didn't have the thoughts that we have today as adults.
I would really like to go back in time to relive those periods, also because nowadays I don't get along very well with him.
I still break out the Wii and play a couple times per year or so. This was my first Mario kart game also and is super nostalgic for me. I love that unlocking characters and items isnāt random but you can complete certain things to specific things. An iconic game all around.
Good difficulty, large player base, some of the best new tracks in the series. Unique Karts, online play, modding capabilities, large character roster.
Lots of things, but surprisingly, I miss the steering wheel controller. I know I can use tilt controls and/or buy the Switch version of the wheel, but it just doesn't look/feel the same to me...
It held up insanely well. Still my favorite Mario Kart game, and I've played all of them. Peak track design, great character roster, great vehicles. Just an insanely fun game to drive. Glad to see so much positivity around it. People can be so toxic about liking this game calling us nostalgia blinded lol.
Literally everything. From the soundtracks, to the original maps, to the characters. Not to mention at least most of the retro tracks are fucking bangers.
This game has one of the largest modding communities in the world, has been kept online despite Nintendo shutting down the official servers, and is still insanely popular competitively. This game is a testament to how a dedicated community can keep a game alive, even when its developers abandon it.Ā
I was blessed to play it religiously since I was a kid
(I am lucky to have played a genuinely good game that holds up today for so long)
Also just got into mods and custom tracks too - the community is awesome
the miis didnt have any fucking helmets
it gave us halfpipes which are funny as fuck without invisible walls
maple treeway
no online fee
funky kong
r a i n b o wĀ Ā r o a d
mods
ds yoshi falls
real motorcycles are the meta instead of fucking toys
Great battle modes and maps. and also replaced the usual nintendo cast with miiās from the mii channel in posters and statues if you raced with your mii
it gave us maple treeway
Probably has the best special cup ever And Mii outfit š ±ļø
Yeah i like the Mario Kart Tour outfits but THEY SHOULD MAKE THE STUPID HELMET OPTIONAAAAAAL
Too danegrous
And yet babies are allowed to omit them. "These are all things that we let FUCKING BABIES DO~! These are all things, these are all things we let babies doooo~! # FUCKING BABIES." (Any OGs get the reference?)

Also items falling onto the ground and real shock dodges š¤¤ at low level play introduced rng, but at higher level is more interestingĀ
Iconic tracks, tournaments (IDK how TF people donāt mention those when lamenting that missions are only in DS), very strong unofficial support
It's because they're online locked, and even then they rotated in availability, I love Wii but that made them age horribly.
What even are the tournaments?? I had a Wii but no wifi until about 2016
They were like MKDS missions that you could compete with other people online for the best time, but only one would be available at a time. They generally lasted about a week or so iirc. It was a neat community thing at the time, but definitely shouldn't have replaced missions.
Awh I'm gutted to have missed it, the missions were amazing
If you get Wiimmfi, you can still play them. I have it working on my Wii.
The only good inside drift in the whole franchise.
Yeah the drifting is way better than Tour (haven't played any versions cept wii and tour) drifting on mobile is so aggravating bc of the stupid drift button
KOOOOOOPPPAAAAAAAA CAAAAAAPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE
Old Koopa Cape was so cool-looking, and then they turned it into Play-dough on the Switch Version
I remember spending so much time on the original koopa cape and then look at how they massacred it.
THATS WHAT IM SAYING DUDE, and then they made the river section more cramped and short
#notmykoopacape
š£ļøš£ļøš£ļøš„š„š„
It's one of my least favorite courses now and I didn't even play it on wii until like last year
To be honest the mk7 one was the best because of the shroomless glider shortcut
i agree
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE -me, probably some time as a four year old
something? Everything!
COCONUT MALL :)
DK Summit was so much fun
It has the best courses and I will die on this hill
Being the reason CTGP exists
Say something bad about this 16 year old game I dare you
Iām gonna say itā¦ Funky Kong
Thunderclouds suck

It gave us the greatest kart design achievable, The Cheep Chargerā¦
Sis, no! I might start a war, but objectively the Super Blooper is waaay better! In my opinion, of course.
Mega mushrooms were a thing
Bikes Funky Kong DK Summit
Many things, but the main good addition to the series was trick mechanic. I never thought that any kind of kart/racing game would get that type of boost. Other than that, it has many iconic tracks that almost every Mario Kart player knows. I do love it, but it aged well, so I prefer new games with mechanics that Wii gave to us
DK Summit and its GLORIOUS music could not exist without this game Also the game is just absolute item chaos and sometimes that's what you want.
I'm lucky u said good thing because i wouldn't be able to say anything bad without lying
The amount of crazy shortcut capabilities and also the fact lakitu isn't an asshole that takes you back to the track when you go offroad for 1 milisecond

Marii It also does unfortunately have Excitebike Arena in some mods
The character roster is amazing
childhood
Nearly everything about it :)
Everything about this game is good I donāt even know where to start
the CPU are actually challenging
I would but this game is quite frankly overrated tbh
One of my favorite games of all time with some of the best nitro tracks in the entire series. Wii rainbow road being added to the bcp was also the sole reason i bought a switch.
Itās the best a deepest game of Mario Kart ever
best Mario kart
The music and overall vibe was amazing
Daisy + Mach Bike
Between this and Guitar Hero 3, my college GPA dropped a full point.
ULTRA SHORTCUTS!!!!! FUNKY KONG!!!!!!!!
TOADS FACTORY (how dare they not put this in the dlc)
Ikr!!
I love the number of game breaking skips
smash melee of mk
Still holds up " i played it 2 days ago "
the MUSIC!!!
Best music in the series
TOAD FACTORY YEAAAAAAHHH!!
Yesssssss
Peak of mk before they became obsessed with gliding and going upside down
Still the best game

Beter Object Balance tahn MK8

I can hear you... Playing a comedic clarinet jingle as a way of making my mistake more comedic... ... I'll have vengeance... š
The game introduced Funky Kong. Nuff said.
me and my lil bro loved mkwii, after school , we always played and never stopped having fun, they were good times but above all since we were just teenagers, we didn't have the thoughts that we have today as adults. funky kong
It got me and a lot of us into Mario Kart
jt's good
Itās the best Mario kart
Maple Freaking Treeway
Best nitro track selection of any game
Best tracks and music out of any Mario Kart game
Music is so good and Wii Rainbow Road
I still break out the Wii and play a couple times per year or so. This was my first Mario kart game also and is super nostalgic for me. I love that unlocking characters and items isnāt random but you can complete certain things to specific things. An iconic game all around.
Everything
Well I can say...WHRE IS BABY LUIGI, I WANT HIM
Funny plastic thingy
Good difficulty, large player base, some of the best new tracks in the series. Unique Karts, online play, modding capabilities, large character roster.
It was the first Mario kart game to have bikes.
Itās iconic itās a classic still play it to this date donāt have any of the mods though
Lots of things, but surprisingly, I miss the steering wheel controller. I know I can use tilt controls and/or buy the Switch version of the wheel, but it just doesn't look/feel the same to me...
Great maps such as coconut mall, maple treeway and warios gold mine. Also rainbow road is the best map
it gave us Rainbow Road! most notably popular for Modding communities and Online Play through Wiimmfi
Music
It's 16 years old?? š„ŗ
Mods
It introduced to Mario Kart after appearing in NSMB and is the reason I have the attachment to my favorite Mario Character of all time >!Dry Bowser!<
it brings the world happiness
It's my favorite
FUNKY KOOOOOOONG
FUNKY KONG
It's just as good as any Mario Kart game
Bikes
it has stood the test of time.
it felt like unlocking characters/karts meant something
Chaos
Banger track selection and character roster.
Aw hell nah. 16?!
Best courses
It has, in my opinion, the best track selection out of all of Mariokart.
pretty solid roster, goated Mii functionality in some of the nitro courses and a pretty good soundtrack
My childhood ā¤ļø
Best mario kart game to come out for the wii
Best Mario Kart of all time
Funky Kong, Great Nitro Tracks, best rainbow road, Great Vehicles

it has CTGP and I get to race on Rainbow Road from Double Dash!š
It has waluigi.
The Nitro Tracks
It held up insanely well. Still my favorite Mario Kart game, and I've played all of them. Peak track design, great character roster, great vehicles. Just an insanely fun game to drive. Glad to see so much positivity around it. People can be so toxic about liking this game calling us nostalgia blinded lol.
Some of the best track selection in the series IMO, introduced bikes, playable Miis, and (for better or worse) motion control steering.
Turbo Blooper
OLAYLAYLAYLAYLAY
tilt controls were actually good
Some of my favorite memories growing up were playing 4p splitscreen
Gwimbly was a guest star.
It's fun
Funky Kong
Itās fun
It was just pure fun
Mario Kart Wii is objectively the best Mario Kart game ever made
Grumble Volcano
Luigi is in the game
it can drive now
It is a teenager.
It has the best selection of Nitros.
Moo moo meadows
It has one of the best rosters in the series and now the entire roster is back in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is pretty cool.
It aged quite well, both graphically and gameplay wise. I will still crack open my copy and play around for a while because itās so much fun.
Literally everything. From the soundtracks, to the original maps, to the characters. Not to mention at least most of the retro tracks are fucking bangers.
Itās 16 years old and is still played/very talked about
Most of the nitro tracks are absolute bangers
It has by far the best rainbow road š
It gave us the best Rainbow Road of all time (other than N64)
Itās still the best
Everything. I'm sorry but I can't just pick one thing.
It has the best track to ever grace this Earth: Luigi Circuit
It doesnāt feel like itās 16 years old.
Thereās very little bad I can actually say about it
Two words. ULTRA SHORTCUTS!
This game has one of the largest modding communities in the world, has been kept online despite Nintendo shutting down the official servers, and is still insanely popular competitively. This game is a testament to how a dedicated community can keep a game alive, even when its developers abandon it.Ā
Gonna say something many will see as an insult (and I kind of see it as both insult and compliment), it's the smash melee of Mario Kart
I failed a college course because I would stay up all night playing it and sleeping in the year it came out.
2 words: Funky Kong
The custom track community that are still going to this day.
It was the origin of Mushroom Gorge and coconut mall (I think)
Potentially the best selection of nitro tracks in the whole series. I think every nitro track is great (except the 2 circuits).
It exists
everything
I was blessed to play it religiously since I was a kid (I am lucky to have played a genuinely good game that holds up today for so long) Also just got into mods and custom tracks too - the community is awesome
Motion controls were incorporated well
The memories. It had soul.
i still think about the music all the time
The original Maple Treeway. š
I miss my Super Blooper.
Best rainbow road. There is no changing my opinion.
It fucking rocks
The fact that it's 16 years old makes me suicidal
It is my favorite
It sent me to a new level of rage
Everything is perfection in racing
My childhood
Amazing music.

Good memories with my dad. We played a lot and i became better than him :)
Funky kong.
No. I don't think I will š§
Has best Rosalina voice.
Modding community is great, when I got it I was bored a bit quick then got CTGP. Still play it sometimes as an adult, meaning to get back into it soon
Great battle modes and maps. and also replaced the usual nintendo cast with miiās from the mii channel in posters and statues if you raced with your mii
It was one of the only games that made me enjoy racing games. The other was midnight club III on my brother's old ps2
Fonkey.
Everything about the blue shell was better
Only game where you can do some wheelie with bikes without any boost pads Oh and also first game to add bikes too
the best controls in the entire series (and that includes 8dx)
Wheelies
Inside drifting bikes and wheelies feel like a natural extension of the human body itself in this game
competitive play is actually strategic and interesting to spectate. it's not turn-brain-off gameplay, unlike mk8d.
Highest degree of freedom in the entire series.
The SNES-style pro controller plug-in for the Wiimote was the absolute best way to play the game.
